"I'm going to lie to everybody about this meeting and there is nothing you can do to stop me!" |
Courtesy of TPM:
Out of the three officials who met President Obama on an airport tarmac near Phoenix earlier this week, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) is now the only one who has characterized the president as anything other than cordial.
In numerous TV and radio interviews since the meeting, Brewer has said the president was “tense to say the least” and took issue with a book she wrote last year. She said Obama walked away from her while she was in mid-sentence and even told one Phoenix television station she felt “a little bit threatened” by the encounter.
But Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, who was standing just feet away from the president and the governor on Wednesday during their now-infamous encounter, told TPM that Obama seemed calm the whole time.
“He wasn’t tense at all,” Stanton said on Friday. “The guy’s a pro.”
Though Stanton declined to discuss exactly what the governor and president said to each other, he said Obama’s classic coolness was evident.
“He doesn’t get animated, but he looks you in the eye and tells you what he thinks,” Stanton said. “And I think that’s honestly what he did is he looked the governor in the eye and spoke and told her what he was really feeling.”
Stanton, a Democrat, is now the second elected Arizona official whose account of the incident contradicts the way Brewer has described it.
This nasty little Teabagger bitch has used this made up story to help sell her crappy, poorly written book of lies, and to get tons of media attention. But ultimately I hope that it leads to the people of Arizona deciding to call for her resignation, or calling for a recall and driving her out of office.
I know that, like Alaska, there are a lot of assholes and dipshits in Arizona, but that is also the place that voted Gabby Giffords into office. So there is certainly hope for Arizonians to come together and decide that they deserve better than to be represented by this vicious little liar.
And by the way, it is exactly THIS kind of thing that makes me forever grateful to Senator Lieberman for doing this,
There is no telling what kinds of lies this shrew would have told about our President if she had ever gotten close enough to meet him.
And by the way for you folks in Arizona who think it may be impossible to drive Brewer out of office, let me remind you that the lady pictured above never even finished one term.
Dare to dream Arizona, dare to dream.
Holy cow the interview with Palin on Pirro tonight was utterly hysterical. I just watched the replay because someone told me that Jeannine was actually laughing at Scarah. I wasn't disappointed. Just fast forward through all of it to the last couple of minutes and watch her begin literally laughing at the garbage salad coming out of Sarah's mouth. Oh my gosh it made my night.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo. C4P should have it as a header.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Palin. She just itchin' to take on Obama and he doesn't even realize she's heading his way. Cock blocked by Leiberman.
ReplyDeleteBrewer and Palin are of a kind: both deeply disturbed narcissists. Brewer's son is in a hospital/jail for the criminally insane. It happened before Brewer got into power or her son would have been sent off to serve in the military like Track.
Wonder if Palin and Brewer are still BFFs. Palin probably threw Brewer under the bus when her usefulness ran out. Like so many others.
When did Leiberman push Sarah away like that? That's great. Please explain!
ReplyDeleteGryphen, the Sea of Pee is going nuts over an interview Palin did with Judge Whoever (sorry, I don't know her name) on Fox because the judge cut off Palin. Are you going to post an article?
ReplyDeleteShe is, Gryphen, she is.
ReplyDeleteAnd just for the record I am a woman and I know a 'bitch' when I see one.
She's a nasty, alcoholic, conniving, two faced, lying, shriveled up, ignorant, uneducated, manipulative BITCH. There, I fixed that for ya.
She and Sister Simple Sarah have so much in common.
She was looking for a photo op and a story since her book was tanking.
She is despicable beyond words to use our president in such a disrespectful, smacking of racism, contemptible, way that she did and I hope she is taken to task for her acts of cowardice and malignment.
PS. I never listen to Sarah's FOX commentaries, but I'm curious if she was asked about this incident on Judge Jeannie's sow and what sort of dog whistle she had to say.
Arizona. HAH!!
ReplyDeletePALIN LOVES OBAMA!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJan Brewer is an OLD HAG!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Palin is one of the best images of a shrew I have ever seen. The cunning deviousness oozes out of the pixels.
ReplyDeleteOMG - Judge Jeanine finally put Palin in her place. It was hilarious and you could tell that Palin was really flustered. Jeanine deserves an award for how she interrupted Palin's word salad and then cut her off in mid sentence. Too bad everyone doesn't treat Palin the same way. It was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Brewer's a liar. Probably a drunk. Definitely teabagging scum. But I am a woman and I love female dogs, so I don't think you should demonize the dogs by calling Jan, the suicide blonde skank ho--- one of them. And I say this as a feminist.
ReplyDeleteThe name is too good for her. (That crap she shitted about President Obama being threatening ripped it for me. I guess the next step was her saying he tried to attack her ugly ass.) Dog whistle to racist.
Big Black Man--dangerous.

That photo was from the Alfalfa Club dinner in 2009. Palin was still a "mover and shaker" then, coming off the 2008 campaign (laughing as I type that) and Fred Malek, a totally reprehensible creature, invited her to this event. Ironically enough, the 2012 Alfalfa dinner is tonight and the rich are gathered and are discussing amongst themselves what will happen if someone, R or D gets into office and raises their taxes. Poor rich people :-)
Here's the link for more info to the Club and it's "purpose". Read and weep, unless you are one of the .0005%.

Hey ya'll...Baldy was on Jugde "My-face-don't-move-even-when-I-talk" Jeanine...and what I saw she looked like she's wearing the top from that "alleged" photoshop pic from 08"...this one...
ReplyDeletehttp://onemansblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/sarah-palin-hottie.jpg
Gryphen hurry up and post the video...the fools at "Crazies4Palin" are in hysterics...also the interview she did with Tom Sullivan is a MUST SEE...it's taped from the other day!
Baldy is done at FAKE News! They want her GONE!!! Tom was hammering her on running for President...and she was stammering and stuttering so much I thought the Toad was going to come from behind the camera and smack her upside the head to get her back on script!!
And when she was on the Judge....the Judge asked her a question and she starting babbling for so long that the Judge started rustling her papers really LOUD and then Baldy shut up and there was a LONNNGGGGGGG pause before the Judge spoke!! LOL!!!!
Brewer and Palin are two of a kind -- they're so full of themselves, not to mention incredibly dumb, that they truly think people will take THEIR word for whatever/whoever they're bitching about. Brewer forgot about those pesky witnesses...those two men who could easily contradict everything she said. The stupidity of it all!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Palin's Belmont boobs?
ReplyDeleteDid she forget them?
"...told one Phoenix television station she felt “a little bit threatened” by the encounter.."
ReplyDeleteOh my, the lilly white woman felt threatened by the big negro...
Interesting, Sarah Palin called Jan Brewer and told her to just relax, close her eyes and enjoy it.
In the picture Palin is saying
ReplyDelete"But but I just want to interview President Obama for a few minutes in the hallway closet and he doesn't have to say a word... I'll do all the ummmm talking"
@Anonymous at 7:21 pm
ReplyDeleteIt was at the 2009 Alfalfa Club dinner. She attended with Meg Stapleton as a guset of Fred Malek.
Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain endorsed Newt Gingrich Saturday at an event in West Palm Beach, Florida.

ReplyDeleteAlfalfa Dinner 2009.
I've always said if Lieberman hadn't blocked her
dumb ass she might have gotten her jollies putting
her hands on the POTUS and all her nascent sexual frustration she feels for him would have gone away.
Oh my...the look of shock, hatred and anger on Palin's face when Judge Jeanine Pirro was laughing at her and then cut her off was PRICELESS! Palin will not be wanting to appear on that show ever again.
ReplyDeleteNote to Scarah....NO ONE loves you anymore!
Could somebody post a link for that interview with Jeanine Pirro? It sounds pretty entertaining, but I couldn't find it (I'm not altogether good at searching for things like that).
ReplyDeleteNow you know why we voted overwhelmingly for Greg Stanton as our mayor here in Phoenix. He served 9 years on the City Council and also as deputy State Attorney General during the Napolitano Administration. The biggest laugh of the day is that Jan Brewer is likely out of politics in 2014, as she has served and termed out of all but dog catcher. In 2014 she will be termed out of the Governor's chair.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you Democrats. This incident makes Jan look like a crotchety bitch and makes the GOP look like shit. The hours spent on conservative talk radio defending and spinning ¨the finger¨ are laughable.
ReplyDeleteI love it.

ReplyDeleteKathleen Yesterday 11:16 PM in reply to songofdeborah
Uncanny. Just the other day, when I was trying to understand why Sarah wasn't running, and I was thinking about what someone on HA was saying as to why she didn't (I think it was victor82, who is also section9 here at C4P)--that the GOP establishment let her know she wouldn't get any support. And right about that time I listened to a sermon about Gideon, and I thought...I wonder if this is how the Lord wants Sarah to get into the fray, with only what appears to be a miniscule army behind her, so that it will be obvious that the battle is the Lord's, and not hers...? I could be so off on this, but still. I like your call for a fast; I think I will try to participate in it at least for a day.
songofdeborah Yesterday 11:21 PM in reply to Kathleen
We need to spread the word to get as many people as possible to fast and pray for Sarah on Feb 6, 7 & 8th.
The irony, Gryph, is that Obama is the reason we have the Brewmeister as our governor. Had he not gotten Gov Napolitano to head Homeboy Security and given Brewer, who had been Sec'y of State, a chance to run for gov as the incumbent, we'd have a Dem gov (fmr Phx mayor and fmr A/G Goddard), and would have had Napolitano (who would have termed out in 2010) to run against McCain. Instead, we have the Teabaggers partying in the capitol like gypsies in the palace, and no change in sight before 2014.
ReplyDeleteBrewer and Palin are two of a kind -- they're so full of themselves, not to mention incredibly dumb,
ReplyDelete----------------
and incredibly ugly, also, too.
There, fixed that for you. You're welcome.
Here it is:
ReplyDeletePirro vs. Palin
Pic says so much. Wonky-eyed Stalker Spice mesmerized by and zeroing in on a dashing, laughing Obama who is oblivious of her existence.
ReplyDelete"I'm your biggest fan."
Single White Female/Misery vibe all the way.

ReplyDeleteFittingly, after tonight's Alfalfa Club dinner, Lieberman was glitterbombed by Occupy DC
ReplyDelete@9:37
ReplyDeleteThe good folks at C4P should aim just a little lower - maybe try praying that Lou Manic gets off the crack pipe and back on the Lithium before the men in white coats come for her with a straight jacket and a feeding tube.
When some smelly bag lady barges up to me, on the way into a store or something, I am reviled, but try my best to be polite (I am Canadian, after all) and move away without letting much of a fuss be caused.
ReplyDeleteMy impression of this encounter between the President, and the skank who looks like she is chastising the house niggra for being uppity, is that Mr. Obama did a similar thing: tried to hurriedly get it done and over with; commenting later of it being "no big deal," as a gentleman would.
Lynne, they've got the Jeanine Pirro interview with Palin posted over at the Sea 'o Pea. It's definitely worth watching!
ReplyDeleteJan Brewer is a fright. She makes me extra thankful for the Governor of my own state, Christine Gregoire--a thoughtful, hard-working, well-educated person dedicated to the best interests of the state's citizens.
ReplyDeletePalin is intensely fixated on President Obama in this photo. It must hurt like a knife. I remember reading in one of the few books written about her that she fantasized, early in her career, about being president.
Is her problem here psychopathic grandiosity, or just unsatisfied physical lust for our strong and beautiful President?
I'm no shrink, but I'd put money on both. Sorry for you, Sarah. You can't have President Obama, and you botched your precious chance to serve the State of Alaska. You threw away all the amazing opportunities (undeservedly) given to you.
It makes no sense. That's why we still read and comment on blogs about Palin.
Long ago as an English lit student I read definitions of literary conceptions of horror. Included was this: "A human being who doesn't look, think, or act like a human being." Sarah Palin looks like a human being (less so with the passage of time) but she doesn't seem to think or act like one. Her senseless answers to simple questions, apparent detachment from her own children, and self-destructive actions make it clear.
Yes, Gryphen, you said Gov. Brewer and Gov. Palin were lying bitches, and there's no denying you are right.
That Alfalfa Club photo actually gives me the creeps. It looks like she's got a gun in her hand and that is exactly the look that would be on her face if she did.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what Joe Leiberman had to say or do to her to get her away. And did he need to go to the ER afterward?
Brewer is a lying racist bitch. So is Palin. Yeah I said it!
ReplyDeleteTammy in AL
That was Fred Malek escorting Sarah and Meg Stapleton at the Alfalfa Club in 2009.
ReplyDeleteWashington Post story from 2006 has the details of some of Malek's past doings.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/10/AR2006031001843.html
"the men then changed their story and said they had "caught a dog and were barbecuing it....
...One of the men arrested in the incident, in which a dog was killed, skinned, gutted and barbecued on a spit, was Frederick V. Malek, 22, of Berwyn, Ill.
Charges of cruelty to animals were later dismissed against Malek and three other men after Andrew P. O'Meara testified that he had struck and killed the dog with a piece of 2-by-4, and that he alone had skinned the animal and tried to cook it. O'Meara said he was trying to show Malek and the others something about living off the land.
This account is based on two 1959 news articles, one on Aug. 8 and one on Aug. 11, in the Peoria Journal Star newspaper."
Phoenix New Times is having a write the caption contest for the picture on this post.
ReplyDeleteblogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2012/01/jan_brewer_humiliating_arizona.php
They used the phrase "Governor Glug Glug" in the post as the hotlink to the police report for her auto accident.
You still ignore Obama's lies. Why?
ReplyDeleteThis isn't really related to anything specific in this post, but a mere observation. Considering how open-minded "democrats" profess to be and how miserable they think their political adversaries are, they sure seem bitter and jealous in pretty much every statement I've read online from a "loudmouth liberal". I've never seen people who assume more than the typical liberal (in my realm of experience) and I've NEVER heard remotely kind of words for anyone who doesn't follow their strict code of living. And yes, it is quite strict considering we're all different. You condemn people who choose a post-secondary education forgetting that some of the greatest innovators are dropouts and many millionaires are selfish described down home, good ol boys who couldn't care less if people think they're intellectually worthless.
ReplyDeleteEducation means shit if you merely use it to ridicule and scoff at your fellow neighbor. Some of the most fundamentally ignorant people in this country have PhDs. Some of the most successful and brightest have no college degree. Life is what one makes of it.
It's time to cease the ignorant personal attacks that typically stem from jealousy. You all know deep down you have no basis for your immature words. It takes self-control and sense. We cannot rightfully judge anyone. It doesn't matter if you're devout or not. You will never know another's journey and never know who another person is, as they're in the process of discovering that themselves - a process that doesn't end until death.
Be the person you wish to see in the world. Right now, all I see when I read most of the comment here and elsewhere on the liberal parts of the internet is the spitting image of the qualities you accuse Sarah Palin of having.
You literally just stereotyped 2 whole states. I've known many Arizonans, native and transplants. I also know many Alaskans, native and transplants as well. From just those people, probably over 50 in each state (more in AZ), they'd be incredibly turned off by you as a person and would say you are not an appropriate "microcosm" of Alaska of the US. Most people who live sane, non-judgmental lives don't approve of slandering their opponents or writing biased blogs to help an unqualified failure get reelected. They don't trust democrats and they don't trust greed, though greed is a needed part of success.
ReplyDeleteAlaska will be independent forever, as that is what's needed. People there will become successful at early ages as they're driven to want to succeed on their own. That is evident. If you can't see how positive that mentality is or who good the republican party principles compliment a nation, please begin your education tomorrow.
*Principles mean the platform, not what radicals believe. There is a different. It's like Obama Vs sane. selfless democracy. BIG different. One is bad, one is good. One hurts us, one helps.
Sorry, I'm livid my insurance just increased due to his stupid HCR bill. But all of the above is basically a good statement that mainstream America believes.
"The cunning deviousness"
ReplyDeleteUh, okay. I guess if that's how YOU look at the world in general, you will see it in everything. I feel for you.
I don't see what you're saying about the end of the Judge's interview. She looked like she was waiting for JP to finish talking to continue. But by all means, continue spewing YOUR self-hate.
It's a sad day when people jump on the bandwagon or lies just to remain tight with a corrupt federal government. Her book was needed. If Obama cared, he'd read it front to back and actually consider the words. He's shown himself to be above real people's problems (though he does put on a good front. Good politicians do that)
ReplyDeleteA good President doesn't sue a state when that state's trying to fix a huge problem.
You call people who are actively supporting citizens over illegals derogatory names but still ignore ALL of your special Presidents lies and obfuscations? Do you have friends? It's called objectivity and intelligence. Buy some. You've already attempted to ruin lives with your lies, though they literally just made your targets stronger.
ReplyDeleteJust when poor ol G deserves some sleep and rest on the weekend, Gingbitch goes on Pirro and makes enough evil salad to feed the entire GOP delegation. Happy translating Gryphen but don't let that shiny silver frock blind your tender eyes.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I noticed that she turned the blaze down a few notches. More proof that she is a faithful IM fan.
The insufferable dummy looks like she put on half a wig.
ReplyDeleteThe judge looks way better than old hag palin.
Whew -- it's well worth seeing the Judge Perino interview.
ReplyDeleteSarah endorses Newt, but won't admit it.
The interviewer is audibly flipping through papers, off camera, while Sarah is going on and on.
Perino has a different take on his name: Ginn-rich. First "g" soft,Second "g" silent.
Sarah has rearranged, slightly, the detritus in her attic/interview studio, and the green light bulb seems to have burned out, but she still appears to be sitting in front of K-Mart's 75%-off decorating leftovers.
Finally, and most hilariously, the Judge has had enough and cuts Sarah off half-way through a rant. Priceless.
They're drumming into the brains of the poor sea of pee followers that they must give $20.12 now and monthly to bring about the glorious revolution (Sarah makes it sound like a third party).
ReplyDeletePalin, and Brewer have a lot in common.
ReplyDeleteNeither graduated from college, but were still elected governor of states.
Both are angry, nasty, mean-spirited racists.
Both are sociopaths.
What Brewer did to President Obama, is how many a white woman got black men lynched, in the 60's and before. By lying on them, that he had insulted her, threatened her, or worse, raped her.
ReplyDeleteWonder what Sarah is gonna say when Mittens gets the nomination.
ReplyDeleteStay strong Sarah.....your body language is so telling. What a riot.
Palin says things are "Stalinesque."
ReplyDeleteFunny, she doesn't look like Joe,
but Newt sure does.
It's my understanding that Jan "Otis" Brewer has a GED and radiology certificate from Glendale Community College. So Scarah's actually ahead of her on the education front as there is evidence she was actually enrolled in some real colleges.
ReplyDeleteAnd God Save Tuscon, that tiny bastion of hope.
Isn't that interesting, Lieberman, perhaps desiring to redeem himself by throwing his person in Sarah's path to protect the President?
ReplyDeleteSarah wanted so much to kiss Barry's ass, pretend she had grace and dignity befitting a loser who wrecked a national campaign in only 8 weeks.
That old crone needs to do something to boost her book sales. Sarah the scrapper (not a real fighter as she doesn't have the nerve or the heft to take on those she criticizes in person) gets to mangle media cycle money shots every week to promote her book, Jan needs to accost the POTUS and shit where she eats.
ReplyDeleteShe should have had her depends on.
What "lady"?
ReplyDeleteI only see sarah paylin.
The old tough-as-nails-female-CEO-cajones-bigger-then-men-persona fails again, Sarah harkened that same intimidation meme when it was politically expedient for her to do so against Wasilla Police Chief Irl Stambough and McCain aid Steve Schmidt.
ReplyDeleteI actually do think President Obama was aware of the Wassillan terror.
ReplyDeleteI imagine being in a room with psycho Sarah is like being on a room with Gary Busey,
You certainly don't want them to speak to you but you are going to keep your eye on them,
So you can avoid them at all costs.
Hi Gryphen ive always wondered about that picture , was Lieberman told to keep screech away from the president? Or did he just instinctively block her? At any rate im surprised she got so close. Annalynne
ReplyDeleteShe styled her hair to imitate Pirro. I have noticed several times she will style her hair to mimic her female interviewers. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteI sure would like somebody to post a link the the Pirro interview...Anybody got one?
ReplyDeleteSarah has not been on Greta's show for a while now. Wonder what happened?
ReplyDeleteHoken
ReplyDeleteDo not blame Brewer on Obama. He did not vote for her. She belongs to the people of Arizona.

ReplyDelete*SHUDDER*
Michelle might have divorced him by now...the administration would of been full of scandals... and don't forget before this dinner...Baldy was in front of reporters telling them that she "hoped to speak to the President" about "energy and what she could do to help the administration!"
The fool even said for the President to call her!
It's because of this picture....EVERYONE saw HER trying to get to the President...that's why she HATES him! She's gross and ignorant and she is a virus with no known cure! Baldy is a "Contagion"...please, let's not let it loose again!
I was going to respond to the troll at 12:35, 12:42, 12:47, 12:55 annndddd 12:58AM...but my thighs have been getting a little too plump for my taste so I will refrain! I do have to agree with the commenter at 7:55AM....

And hopefully many Arizonans will finally get it through our thick heads that Brewer is bad for this state. She's done so much harm to AZ it isn't even funny.

The people of Arizoniastan sure deserve a better Governor. Gov Glug Glug probably reeks of wine, cheap perfume, moth balls and body odor.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of the special needs ex Governor. Lieberman took one for the team that night. She had one eye on Lieberman and the Wonk one on The President.
I'm of the opinion that The President was fully aware she was nearby, he's got a keen sense of smell. What I love about him is that he doesn't pay her a lick of attention, and it's driving her absolutely bonkers.
