On Fox News, Palin complains that in 2008 a candidate was not vetted properly. You don't say?

When Hannity tires to get Palin to finally endorse a candidate, she goes off into some bizarre folksy Wasilla colloquialism about "iron sharpens iron, steel sharpens steel." Which I take to mean that Palin sharpens her steak knives at home by banging them against each other and then bitching because they "don't cut good." I assume that Wasillians have not yet been introduced to the concept of the "whet stone."

(Gee without sharp implements at her disposal it makes one wonder how she managed to slay that thing on her head?)

However when pressed Palin does offer this confusing, and incredibly ironic, statement: "If I had to vote in South Carolina, in order to keep this thing going, I'd vote for Newt. And I would want this to continue, more debates, more vetting of candidates, because we know the mistake made, in our country, four years ago, was having a candidate that was not vetted to the degree that he should have been."

I'm sorry did she actually just say that?

Now obviously Palin is talking about President Obama, but I have to say that I have rarely seen such a clear case of projection in my LIFE. It is almost as if she is subconsciously admitting, to the Fox News viewers of all people, that SHE was an unworthy candidate which the MSM failed to vet properly. Gee ya think?

It is also rather interesting that Palin seems to admit here that choosing Newt, will not really help him to become the nominee, but that it will simply "keep this thing going."

However in literally the next breath (Which you can see in part two of the interview found here) Palin admits that the conservative candidates are splitting the vote and says that "the math is what it is, and at some point here, I don't think its time yet, but at some point here I believe that some of the more conservative candidates are going to have to decide, do they take one for the team? Are they going to step aside and pursue via one single conservative candidate that nomination as they go up against the front runner today?"

Clearly Palin simply refuses to admit that the nomination process, for all intents and purposes, is over, and that Romney has already secured the top spot on the ticket. She simply cannot accept the reality of the fact that the Teabaggers have fallen from favor and that a super-duper conservative nutjob will NOT gee the 2012 nominee.

Not really a surprise since she seems to have the same problem accepting that she and that angry old man from Arizona did not win the 2008 election. ("Facts make my head hurt!")

You know somewhere there is a psychiatrist with a huge therapy boner at the very idea of  getting inside this fractured psyche of Palin's to see just what makes it tick.

Personally I think that if you were to wrestle that road kill off her head, and open up that skull of her's, all that would pour out would be Fruit Loops laced with hate.

But what do I know, I'm not a psychiatrist.

Gryphen -- Palin's idiocy aside, have you seen this article about Newt's appalling behavior during the debate?

Well, perhaps Newt's performance does reflect on Palin after all -- she's the queen of the dog whistle, is she not?

She sounds worse than a broken record. She has been complaining about the President not being vetted for almost 4 years. When she appears on Fox, she says pretty much the same thing every time. She really needs some new material but she isn't mentally capable of anything more than repeating the same thing over and over.

CNN played the part of her appearance where she said that people in SC should vote for Newt to "keep this thing going". For the life of me, I cannot understand why anyone would really give a fuck about what she has to say.

  5. Now, that was funny. You certainly have a way of describing Sarah that is bang on. How delusional can she be and still be allowed to appear on the public airwaves? I guess this is her way of striking back at the hype of Game Change which will definitely show that she was the one who was not vetted. Of course, those of us who have been suspicious of her since 2008 will enjoy the backlash from the HBO movie. Sarah's just trying to get ahead of the story.

    Too late, bitch.

I bet FOX won't be repeating that ignorant statement in the future. If they do it will be an embarrassment to their credibility, as if they don't already don't have enough creditability problems already with other professional news broadcasters. When is the FCC going to come in and either take away their right to call themselves a "news" station, or just enforce them to be less biased in their reporting. A legitimate news station shouldn't have shows that are biased unless they give a disclaimer before each show.

And for her to utter "having a candidate that was not vetted to the degree that he should have been" with a straight face...but a crooked mouth...is truly a complete disconnect from reality! I think Sarah Palin is broken ya'll! She's a toy that's been played with to much and it just stop working and nobody has noticed that she needs to go to a repair shop (REHAB) to be fixed!!

That comparison (Mitt to Barack Obama) doesn't even make sense. If Mitt Romney wins the SC primary, he's basically got it in the bag. If not, then yes, he will be subjected to more debates and "vetting". KIND OF LIKE Barack Obama was in 2008. Gee, Sarah, do you recall that the primary fight between Obama and Clinton went on until June?! Even if Newt were to win in SC, I doubt the primary fight would drag out as long as the Democratic primaries did in 2008.

But yeah, one candidate in 2008 was NOT vetted properly. And her nasty, mannish, grizzled mug is staring at you when you look in the mirror, Sarah.

  29. Repost from earlier thread:

"More debates, more vetting of candidates. Because we know the mistake made in our country four years ago, with having a candidate that was not vetted to the degree he should have been," ~ Sarah Palin

Wow, is she a classic case of projection or what??!! How can anyone in their right mind think that Obama was not vetted enough? He'd been campaigning since 2007 during the 2008 election! He went thru an entire Democratic primary process against Hillary Clinton. Much like the GOP primary - any candidate not worth their salt would have withered after 2 weeks in the harsh media spotlight. Palin was introduced in August/September of 2008 - that was TWO MONTHS before the election! Before that, no one knew who the hell she was (outside of GOP insiders). And for the short time she was in the public eye she made a royal jackass of herself!!

Also....I wonder if Palin realises that when people hear her say stuff like this, they think of HER in 2008 as the candidate that was NOT vetted at all??? When did Palin hold an open press conference in 2008? Not once. She did 2 interviews on her own (both were a disaster) then she did the VP debate (also a disaster, the bar was so low, if she didn't vomit all over herself, it was considered a win) and that was it. The next interview she did was with McCain and she was tight-lipped fist clenched the entire time. Seriously, this woman's mental illness is truly staggering. She needs help and Fox doesn't even give a shit! They're just using her to build viewership....wow.

As to Palin suggesting people in S.C. vote for Gingrich...I think the plan - which has been in the works probably for awhile - is for her to run w/Gingrich should he win the primary. FOX (which I never listen to, but did today on purpose - as well as tune into Limbaugh for abit - ALL are doing nothing but talk about Palin AND suggesting that President Obama was never vetted.

This makes me sick! I hope all are ready to go after Palin. As she is being set up to be the attack dog for President Obama! Constant and over and over. I see it coming!

It was Sarah Palin who was not vetted. More details were known about Barack Obama by the time that he became the Democratic nominee than was known about either of the Republican nominees: lots of secrecy about McCain, remember all of those subjects that no one could ask questions about, and then there was Sarah Palin, the total unknown from a very unpopulated state. Good grief! She really needs treatment right away for her mental illness.

President Obama not vetted properly?? Is she insane? Oh wait... disregard that question.

Obama WAS vetted thoroughly. I had NO problems finding out what I wanted to know about him. Where he went to school, what he studied, what he did, his accomplishments, his political career, his family, his religious views, etc.- even what drugs he used and when he used them. Plain and simple verifiable public knowledge. I cannot think of ONE piece of historical information that has come to light since President Obama has taken office that I didn't already know. And I'm sure the gooptardians practically gave Obama a colonoscopy trying to dig up some dirt and find a chink in his armor. They couldn't so they had to make shit up - birth certificate, pallin' around with terrorists (remember that one, serror?)

Not so much with the paylump. Still haven't seen a college diploma or Tri-g's birth certificate. And, there's been a shit-ton of revelations re: screechy's checkered past. Affairs, drugs, scandals, faked pregnancy, poor parenting, bullying, etc.

After saying nine times that she wants candidates to be properly vetted and that she wants "the process to continue" over and over, she says:
"You know why I want that process to continue because with the front-runner and with all the candidates, there's still too many questions, we have to have these questions answered right now. And that has to do with their business dealings, that has to do with their experience while in office because all of them have a record...
[Barack Obama, mumble mumble, Food Stamp President, blah, blah blah and now we get to run against his record]
...I want the process to continue because answers need to be given to American voters today instead of some October, early November surprises that you know the Democrats are just dyin' to be able to throw out there on whomever it is who wins the nomination on the GOP ticket...
We need to make sure that front-runner and all others have everything out there in the open as transparent as possible in order to um, let the voters be prepared for what's coming, make up our minds whether we believe that maybe an issue or two that they have that could cause some problems is paramount and would prohibit um, them being the best person to lead our nation."

Newt: Palin Will 'Play A Major Role' In My Administration

In an interview with Wolf Blitzer that will air today at 5:25 pm E.T. on CNN, Newt Gingrich said he will ask Sarah Palin “to play a major role” in his administration if elected President.

Gingrich’s remarks come a day after the former Alaska governor and vice-Presidential candidate made waves by offering a quasi-endorsement of Gingrich on Fox News.

“I want to see this thing continue because iron sharpens iron,” Palin told Fox’s Sean Hannity. “If I had to vote in order to keep it going, I would vote for Newt.”

Palin recently said she was unsure whether her endorsement would actually help any candidates at the moment, which may help to explain her slightly unconventional fist-bump for Newt. She explained it further this way:

"I want more debates, more vetting of candidates, because we know the mistake made in our country four years ago with having a candidate that was not vetted to the degree that he should have been."

Most observers, and even most of the presidential campaigns, now say that if Mitt Romney wins South Carolina’s primary this Saturday – even by a slim margin – then the race is in effect over, and it will be all but impossible for the other candidates to challenge him credibly for the nomination. However, polls suggest Gingrich may be making gains in the state, and should he be able to unite the “anti-Romney” vote behind him, then he could attract enough money and support to help prolong the contest. Conservative commentators including talk show host Laura Ingraham and RedState founder Erick Ericksson have recently said that Rick Perry should drop out before Saturday in order to help solidify support behind Newt Gingrich.

Sorry Sarah but you look like the second comming of Charile Sheen.

"...four years ago, was having a candidate that was not vetted to the degree that he should have been."

    OMG Sarah is a transvestite

If there was any doubt Newt might pull of S Carolina it's been dashed now that Palin endorsed him. I wonder how much Romney paid her?

    "Sarah Palin = Bitter Clinger

That's a perfect definition for her. She will forever grieve her dead opportunity to reign from the White House." - 12:45

Yeah, but I'd call her a Stage 10 Clinger. On President Obama, who wants nothing to do with her cellulite-ridden ass and subnormal brain.

Her face is so gaunt that it looks like her chin may fall off. It moves like a puppet... Just look at the lines on either side on her sunken in cheeks down to the corners of her mouth.

Those gaunt cheeks and the colorless lip gloss make her look like something from the crypt. Oh yeah, the wig that is not the same color as her hair. That also too.

    Has she been "dieting" again?

OK. We knew it was coming. She sold her endorsement to the highest bidder, who might win.

Sorry steadfast Santorum, conservative social values man... not too likely you'll win. Besides your wife is a threat to my status as America's rill hocky mom.

Perry probably did not offer enough for her endorsement. Buh bye Ricky.

Anybody but Romney, and I don't think he would have anything to do with this toxic family.

So, Newt has offered a position in his administration. Huh? I thought that was illegal in campaigning for POTUS. Oh, that's right. It's don't need no stinking rules newt.

Newt and Sarah are two peas in a pod. "Imagine whirled peas!!!!"

I HATE that 3 states get to decide who gets onto the ballot 5 months before we even get a chance in Oregon. Not that I would vote for any of these guys, but The Primary process stinks!

The stupid runs deep, but I can see the attraction to Newtie. Sarah's a Anna Nichole Smith wannabe, drugs and wigs and old rich guys.

I love the idea of fruit loops in hate, i was imagining scrambled eggs, but fruit loops it is!

Not that I care, but Newt isn't exactly what I picture when I think of value voters and christian. Newt will lie to your face while stabbing you in the back and not flinch while doing it.

Sarah, take him up on his offer! You'll have a coward on one side and a blonde dominatrix with her claws at your throat on the other.

Has Sarah been "dieting" again? She looks absolutely gaunt - hollow cheeks - pointy chin - rat's nest hair - unblinking eyes - Yep, she's "dieting" again.

She's looking more like the Medussa every day... That hair! Looks like wriggling worms... And the vapor that is coming out of her mouth! She must weigh all of 90 pounds by the look of her face... Diets? Drugs? Probably.
