DId Rick Santorum almost say, what I think Rick Santorum almost said? Update!

"Dammit Rick! That is an inside my head word."
I have watched this clip over and over. I cannot imagine what else it could have been that he was about to say.

What do you think?

Update: Here is a shorter version of the video, that ONLY contains the comment.

Could that have been Santorum's narrowly averted "Barney Fag" moment?

He clearly says: "the anti-war government ni..." (sounds like "nih") He almost called him a ni*ger but caught himself. I listened to it 5 times. I can't think of any other possible word he was about to say. A government nice person? A government nerd? A government newbie? No its clear he was about to call him a ni*ger. I wonder if a "nih" is the same thing as a "blah person"? Rick Santorum is definitely a racist bigot and hates black people. This is just more confirmation.

Can someone give the specific time mark on the comment? I didn't catch it and it's a long clip.

O/T, but not - CNN has printed an online Op Ed by some young British guy lamenting Sarah's absence from this cycle, and hoping for her participation in '16...

Who put him up to this, and what does CNN think it's doing? They just love them some Sarah Palin.

I just love it when they show their true colors - no pun intended.

O/T again, sorry, but this is from Tim Stanley, the guy who wrote the favorable CNN Op Ed on Sarah today:

(The guy's about 32, so it's hilarious that he thinks everyone from his generation is obsessed with Sarah Palin, at least in the sense he intends here. He's clearly yet another GOP huckster who is tapping into a very lucrative market demographic.)

I divide my time between London, Oxford and Los Angeles, with the occasional weekend in Washington DC. I’ll be blogging on the US elections for the Daily Telegraph. Like everyone of my generation, I’m a bit obsessed with Sarah Palin. I define my politics as Anarcho-Catholic – an eclectic kind of pacifistic, red meat eating, gun loving, tax hating, Buddha hugging voodoo. I’m temperamentally conservative, but neither a Tory nor a Republican. I love America deeply and I suspect she is the last hope for mankind (I really don’t want to have to learn Chinese).

As far as I'm concerned this is not a "slip of his tongue" but a real-time reveal of the authentic Rick Santorum. Rational, compassionate people can't abide his misogynistic, homophobic, ultra-religious, hypocritical rants. I was trying to figure out what alternative he might use in an attempt to convince people he was really saying something benign. He might pretend it was some word beginning with nEg - negativist or some such thing. But you are right, the proof of any ridiculous lie they come up with is in his obviously perturbed reaction.

There are so many issues that are so very important to our country and he ignores them to talk about what happens in consenting adults' bedrooms. He says he has 7 children. Are we to believe that he and his wife only have sex 7 times in 20 years?
I love the old photo of him with his family and the daughter is clutching a doll (with a dress that matches her own) and crying. Tells one what their home life must be like.

Only people of good will get that and he is hate-filled.

"I'll say this emphatically -- there was a seething, vehement hatred of Rick Santorum," says Miner, who was attending Duquesne University at the time. "We would go door to door. They would tell us to go fuck ourselves."

"You're a young guy, what the hell are you working for this idiot for?" he recalls residents asking. Sometimes they'd wonder, "Why are you wasting your time?"

On occasion, Miner was tasked with driving Santorum to campaign events. These were not always happy road trips. "He was somebody that could get very upset very quickly," says Miner, who is now supporting Romney. "Rick had a short fuse."

After a tour of an animal shelter north of Pittsburgh in August, Miner says Santorum became germaphobic. "He demanded that we drive back in, pick up some hand sanitizer from the Giant Eagle back in the city of Pittsburgh," Miner recalls.

Miner remembers Santorum expressing disgust with a kid he saw standing in the grocery store parking lot with baggy pants, declaring he'd never let his son dress that way. Even in the most private, apolitical moment of the day, Santorum couldn't suppress the urge to judge.

"Santorum was at a constant state of unrest. There was not a moment that wasn't intense with him," Miner says. "I don't think that Rick Santorum ever turned it off."

What about the Opus Dei stuff? I am a Christian and that scares me to pieces. Santorum has been present at Papal events and things like that. (Not automatically bad, just with this very secretive sect aspect in mind.)

He couldn't make it through a general election, these things would crop up and hound him.

Which totally explains the extreme unhappiness portrayed on the faces of all his children. Unhappiness is not only portrayed ON their faces, it is etched INTO their faces.

What are the other, still unknown, facets of this man's personality and private life????? Is he Opus Dei to the max (you know, believes in undergoing floggings and other personal bodily punishments for 'sins')?? Does he teach – and enforce – bodily penance for sins to his children?? Was he abused as a child? Is he a child abuser (physical or emotional abuse)??? Is he a porn addict? Is he a closeted gay? He is truly Exhibit A of what is called 'a piece of work'. And his wife, with 7 children, one of them a special needs child, appears to love him in spite of who he is, and has nowhere else to go.

Rick Santorum is definitely Opus Dei. Opus Dei paid for his trip to Rome, which was for the purpose of celebrating the 100th birthday of its founder, Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer, and Santorum was accompanied on the trip by an Opus Dei evangelist, Rev. C. John McCloskey. McCloskey
pines for a Church that has eliminated moderate and liberal faithful, who would be replaced by former conservative protestant converts. He further envisions a United States torn asunder by a secessionist movement bent on creating a separate theocracy.

It was that trip that caused Santorum to launch his first attack against JFK's speech about the separation of church and state. Please read this link to learn more about the teachings involved in this dangerous sect, which seeks, among other things, to initiate a civil war that will turn America into a theocracy.

Meh, I don't hear it. I mean yeah, it sounds like he said feh-nig... but the place in his sentence where he said it doesn't make sense the way you all want it to. Why would he inject that word into the middle of a list of things he was rattling off? Think about it, that would have been utterly nonsequitur if he'd said it right there.

Now, maybe I could buy it as some sort of racist Tourettes...

Anyway, I don't think we have to try nearly so hard to find fault with Santorum. He may have won a couple of primaries, but there's no way the froth-filled douchebag is getting the nomination. And I actually wish he would, because it would be far more entertaining to see Ricky get beat down in the general...

However Santorum became extremely flustered when he said "nig"; I think he had every intention of using the "n" word and thought better of it in mid-word. If he were saying that Barack Obama was in favor of government, calling him a government-nik" would not have been caused the state of fluster-hood that ensued.

In fact we should want to elect people who are in favor of government to lead the government. It is serious business; getting up every morning to work for the American people, all of them, not just the very rich or the very prejudiced. And President Obama is doing a great job?

What a good, loving, sensitive christian...Yep, yep. He's a shining, or tarnished, example of racism and ignorance and just plain stupidity. What a moron, but then look at who the republican party has for candidates vying for a run at the presidency. Good grief, how low can they go? All of them are a farce and a pathetic comedy of errors. This is what they have to offer? How low can they go? Straight from Hell and back again.

He at least knew his audience. What is funny is the people standing there cheering him on are exactly the demographic that is aging and needing the services many of them fought for. What fools.

What Rick Santorum is all about is Opus Dei.

The Washington Post had a article on this.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/rick-santorums-journey-to-devout-catholicism-view-of-religion-in-governance/2012/03/16/gIQAj4NzNS_story.html

More info on Opus Dei at Talk to Action and other places.

Some people wonder if he is a sick fuck hanging out with other sick fuckers. Others already know the answer.

"It's considered a term of endearment" would, I imagine, be the spin to make the boo boo feel better.
In a way it's sad to see him fall, he'd be far more entertaining to see President Obama swab the decks with him and double flush.

Looks like we're stuck with watching the boring Romnney losing any debate with President Obama.

But i relish watching Romney being handily trounced by President Obama, along with witnessing history as the GOP as we know it reduced to tears with their own words.

Well, if you really want to wade into the dark and scary place that is Taliban PRick's convoluted mind, you can do so here with this article he just published. The WHINE is hard to take, as is the sanctimonious crap, but mostly the twisted interpretation of the law and our founding fathers is most aggregious. And the readers/commentors aren't buying it.

I agree with everyone else here.
It can only be one word emanating from those bitter lips and he immediately knew it had partially escaped by his flustered reaction.
Am I the only one who finds the older daughter always hovering in the background with Santorum to be bizarre ?
The daughter always looks very uncomfortable and I always think Sister Wives when I see them together ,
they don't seem to have a normal relationship.
Jimmy Kimmel has a great recurring sketch using a terrific Santorum impersonator who appears
    as " L Brent Santorum "-Rick's brother.
" L Brent " tries so hard to defend Rick , using religious and overly sexual imagery .
It's hysterical and exactly how one would imagine a real Santorum might actually behave.

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, even went to dictionary.com to see if there was something else that could start with nig that he might have meant to say. Nope. Nothing. I listened to the speech...and...while NIG is offensive, I think the bigger problem is what he was saying...it made no sense...And I think he said "OVAMA"....

Anyway, whether he said it or not, it doesn't matter...He's said about 100 things just as offensive, and yet he's still #2 in the GOP...but we all know why...it's not because people like Santorum -- it's because they HAAAAATE Romney.
