NBC promo for Palin's appearance on the Today Show.
They disgust me. This is for ratings, and/or she obviously has a friend among the producers. Maybe they are even foolish enough to think she could jump networks at some point.
NBC...you are disgusting and pathetic. Giving this divisive imbecile any kind of forum is pretty damned low. What in the world were you thinking when you decided Palin was appropriate and intelligent enough to be on your program? Was it her hate-mongering, race-baiting, disrespectful of President Obama that you felt that, yep-, she's on our team alright? Sorry NBC, but your idiotic decision to give this uneducated, mean-spirited, and embarrassing excuse for a woman defines who you are. You are pandering to idiots, morons, and just plain stupid, hateful viewers.
I encourage everyone to go to the today show web site and comment. It's running about 3-1 against her. More folks need to let nbc know they won't be watching if they think giving that harridan a platform is a good idea.

NBC has countered ABC's move of bringing Katie Couric to "Good Morning America" this week by announcing Sarah Palin will co-host "Today" this Tuesday.
On their website, the peacock said that Palin will "reveal a different side of her than you've seen before." NBC is also promising that "a surprise legend will return to the broadcast Monday morning."
Palin and Couric are forever linked from their infamous interview in 2008 when Couric hosted "CBS Evening News."
The interview is widely credited for destroying Palin's credibility ... probably forever.

“I hope its fake,” said one, while another chimed in about what we all know: “NBC is doing that as counterprogramming to Katie Couric guest hosting “Good Morning America.”
Palin, of course, was interviewed during her 2008 campaign by Couric in an interview that turned out to be one of the vice presidential candidate’s weaker moments in the race.
It should be noted - being from Alaska -that the sports anchor position Palin had in Anchorage, on Channel 2, didn't last long. She failed at that horribly too! Everything she endorses or does turns to shit!!!

Wow. This may seem weird to people, but I see this as great news. It seems to signal to me her transition from a politician to a host or media personality. Of course she always was a media personality, but now maybe she is becoming an official one and leaving behind the pretence that she is a politician. It lowers her political power and influence and that's all for the good. The other good thing about it is that she is dining with the devil. NBC are the great Satan. Oh! Just another thought. It seems to me that her opinions are quite mailable. It could be good for her to be around a different group of people. Her opinions change based on the situation she is in. We may see a softening of her public stances as she tries to curry favour with her viewership. After all she is all about the money and the ratings and the NBC audience is more mainstream.

I don't understand this move on the part of Fox--if she still works there. Her NBC appearance will take viewers away from the Fox mornings. But, if Fox recently let her go, I can see it as a revenge move on Palin's part.
Nikki Haley's book comes out on Tues. too. Palin will take some of the news away from her, too which Palin probably wants to do since Nicole Wallace is pushing Haley for VP.
I think part of the whole thing on Palin's part is so she can appear to be in the "middle"/independent.
This kind of sours me on watching anything on NBC. I look at Palin as a hatemonger who viciously put crosshairs on a map of congressional districts. And now I look at NBC as promoting this type of behavior by featuring her. Sick.

I noticed that Bristol's show is most definitely not going to premeire tomorrow night on Lifetime, at least that's per the Verizon Fios guide on my tee vee. There is no listing for Life's a Tripp in daytime or prime time . They have two movies listed back to back in the 8pm to midnight times, and it is not listed before 8pm.

Several years ago I gave away our TVs, one of the best moves I ever made. I highly recommend this to everyone. NBC wouldn't be able to schedule such freak shows if enough people would just refuse to take the bait, get rid of their TV sets, and stop watching the ongoing pap that is called television.
One huge benefit of no longer having a TV: you no longer have to PAY a corporation for the privilege of bringing arguing 'adults' into your living space. None of us would allow our children to behave the way most 'adults' behave on television. If we wouldn't let our children behave badly in our homes, why do we pay corporations that shove badly behaving 'adults' into our homes??? What's the difference??
It is unknown to the general public who decided this creature should appear on NBC Today. The Palin pick was part of the discussion on MSNBC’s “Melissa Harris-Perry“ this morning, with Harris-Perry asking her panel of guests if the rumor (which by then was fact) was, “Real or fake?”
“I hope its fake,” said one, while another chimed in about what we all know: “NBC is doing that as counterprogramming to Katie Couric guest hosting “Good Morning America.”
Palin, of course, was interviewed during her 2008 campaign by Couric in an interview that turned out to be one of the vice presidential candidate’s weaker moments in the race.

ReplyDeleteI will be watching anything but the Today show. If I can't fine anything to watch, I'll turn the tv off. The Today have sink so low as to invite that Sarah Palin to co-host. These shows like the Today and the other media would invite the Devil to co-host if they think it will help them with the ratings. Oh I guess the Today Show just prove me right.

ReplyDeleteI think SP got the deal at NBC because all along everyone has been saying that she should try being a talk show host rather than a politician. Now that her political options are gone, she decided to find another way to make the money she is use to. Unfortunately, she made this move to late. Curious people will watch this show, but will they forget her racism and divisiveness and continue to give the sho ratings?

Wouldn't it be nice if the show gets pre-empted by an inpomptu "press release" from President Obama?
I'm sure he can find some excuse or other, but I'd love it to be something to do with alternative energy or something Alaska related. Or even to update the nation on how well Cheyney is doing and how we all wish him a speedy recovery, ANYTHING!!!
