Well the cat's out of the bag so we might as well talk about now.
The above picture was apparently taken after Tebow went backstage after catching the Broadway show "Rock of Ages." Then one of the cast members actually thought that Tebow was enough of a celebrity to warrant posting a picture with him to the Internets.
Then the shit got real:
Later, when one of the ladies posted the pic to her Twitter page, Timmy reportedly freaked out and demanded that it be removed. Rock Ages cast member Neka Zang posted the photo which you can see by clicking here. Zang also posted a photo of the entire cast Tebowing. Then, poof! The pic was suddenly gone. Zang explained the its removal thus: "Well, Due to Tebow's 'image' I was asked to remove the pic of him with us half-dressed ladies," Neka wrote. "He does know we aren't real strippers, right? Tweeps. I'm not mad, or judging. Just letting u all know I took the pic down. Ok. Thanks."
Well anyhow since Ms. Zang took the picture down no harm no foul right?
Wrong! Because YOU people looked at the picture after I specifically told you not to, now pretty much everybody will know that TimTebow let scantily clad, fake strippers get close to his super Christian, totally virgin man junk.
Which is a problem because....uh because...hey why IS this a problem? I mean its not like somebody released a sex tape of Tebow failing to get it up for a hot girl or anything, right?
Maybe its not the girls in the picture that are the problem. Hmm what could it be then?
After all reports are that Tebow attends quite a LOT of Broadway shows so....oh....OH! I think I get it now.
Don't worry Timmy. I understand that the Christian religion offers plenty of programs where you can "pray away the...love of Broadway shows."

ReplyDeleteThe problem for me is that Timmy is among those Xhristians who fear that they will "catch" perceived sin just by being near it.
Ahem, Timmy boy, those women are actors, singers, dancers, they are not whores. Their costumes are not necessarily their choice of style. Those are costumes for the job they have - a job where they perform on stage away safety up and away from the audience.
You cannot get spiritual slime from watching art. Even if you watch real strippers, the sin would be in your heart, not in your eyes or in what they do. Sin is not contagious, even if this were a sin. Sin is personal and intentional.
Poor baby. He is going to suffer a lot in life just because he is afraid his brand will be damaged. The problem, in the end, is his silly and totally unsustainable brand. It is totally dependent upon what others with limited worldviews, shallow comprehension, and narrow compassion might think of what he does. He is going to live his life according the to opinions of others who, in the end, could care less, even the most fervent fundie.
Tim boy - even Jesus mingled with prostitutes and allowed them to wash his feet and anoint him with oil. All you did was stand with some very talented actors. Get a grip. Get a life. Grow the f*ck up.
I'm surprised that Mitt doesn't pick Timmy for a running mate. They would make a good pair ... well, except for the religion thing.

ReplyDeleteThen I realized his handlers, eager to ride his gravy train, were probably the ones putting the pressure on to have the photo removed.
However, if Tim were a true adult, he would handle his handlers, setting parameters and telling them to put things into perspective and not knee-jerk react to every little thing that might endanger his precious image.

If he was so afraid of being seen with these actors, he shouldn't have had the pictures taken at all. It never ceases to amaze me how when these people freak out over innocent pictures, the freak out is what draws others to something that would otherwise have been ignored. What a PR fail this whole thing is.

What a silly guy. I sat through the whole show in Anchorage last night. Definitely adult entertainment ... hilarious and fun and extreme talent all over the stage. If Tebow really didn't think the show was something he wanted to be associated with he would have walked out in the first two minutes. Hypocrit.
