The ADN provides undercover video of Schaeffer Cox discussing murder plans with his co-defendants and FBI informant. Update!

This video is courtesy of Kyle Hopkins over at ADN and this is how he describes what it shows:

Cox, in his trademark newsboy's cap, says he could tolerate going to jail, but it would be "killing time" if the authorities took his family; Vernon and Cox talk about going to war against authorities; and Cox thinks that the only thing keeping the authorities from killing him is the "cost" that would be inflicted by the militia, but later says he doesn't think the militia is strong enough to sustain a long-term conflict.

The last two clips, taken with Olson's hidden camera and two more hidden in his vehicle, are of the "take down" sting on March 10, 2011, first of Vernon (in front passenger seat) and his wife Karen, then of Cox (in rear seat) and codefendant Coleman Barney as each examines a silencer-equipped .22 pistol and a hand grenade obtained from an FBI informant.

The Cox and Barney bust was compromised when a man walked up and pointed out the "whole line of guys out there with bulletproof vests."

Yeah I think this is pretty compelling evidence, and I don't think the defense's attempt to blame this whole thing on William Fulton, or FBI entrapment, will hold much sway over the jury after they see this.

I am currently trying to get the MSM to pay attention to the connections between this case, Palin, and the new chairman of the Alaska GOP. There is more that connects Schaeffer Cox to Russ Millette, but I need the help of reputable journalists to dig it out and bring it to the attention of the American people.

The important fact to keep in mind is that this GOP takeover was originally orchestrated by Palin and her goons almost eight years ago, and has only NOW come to fruition through the co-opting of the Ron Paul movement.  In essence the AIP, 2nd Amendment Task Force, and various militia groups have taken over Alaska politics.

By the way, I checked in with my sources again, and for those of you who doubted the impact of Fulton's admission in court the other day that he was introduced to Cox by Palin operatives Joe Miller and Frank Bailey, my understanding is that it sent a shock wave through the courtroom, and also got attention of federal law enforcement.

However in order for the resources needed to investigate this to be provided by the Feds there really kind of needs to be some interest on the part of journalists.  In other words, the Feds are somewhat wary about really going after this angle (Blame the Ted Stevens debacle.), but will feel compelled to do so if there is enough heat on them from the public at large.

So while Geoffrey Dunn's Huffington Post article was a very good start, we really need to keep spreading this connection far and wide.

And just to add a little more drama and sense of urgency, what is happening in Alaska to the Republican party is ALSO taking place all across the country, but it is just not catching the attention of the local reporters.

In my opinion things are about to get VERY scary, very quickly if people don't wake up to what is taking place right under their noses.

Update: News is filtering out of the courthouse that Schaeffer Cox has now requested that he be named co-counsel so that he can help defend himself and question witnesses. Apparently he does not think his lawyer is doing an adequate job.

And just when you thought this trial could not get anymore entertaining!

The radical left and radical right are the problems in America, equal problems. Both sides hitched (or tried to hitch) their rides to people like Obama and Palin despite those politicians personal views. Both sides cannot be ignored. There are definitely good people on both sides and those people should not be grouped with the crazies. The crazies have surpassed using their onetime vehicles (Obama and Palin) and now feel empowered.

It's time to look past the vehicles and go after just the crazies: Cox and those named folks, other righty orgs with impure motives (though most aren't dangerous), leftie orgs that have ulterior motives.

Radical lefties - er, those might be the Libertarians in the sense that they would be the polar opposite of the far-right. Ron Paul ironically wants to be head of a government he believes should not exist. The far right wants government up women's private parts, creating profits for the wealthy, and telling people what Thou Shall and Shall Not Do.

The GOP wants to transform our government into their own mega-Bain Capital, generating profits for all their corporate investors (which they themselves invest in - check out Romney's latest financial report).

Radical lefties? Yeah, sure, uh-huh - time to take your meds.

    Again the false equivalency argument.

Sorry, the GOP, same tea right, is now somewhere way past Pluto.

Thankfully the center right, center, and to the left of center are still on this planet. Concerned with the rest of humanity than being for the 1%, being more than corporate lackeys, or doing so much to bring about Christian sharia, USA Taliban theocracy, mucking things up so their Jesus will come back sooner and rapture a few people up to some fantasy place.

In other words, most of us have to live in the real world, actually compromise and work now on behalf of the forgotten 99% of people everywhere, worldwide, their needs. Yet it's hard to compromise with people on a very Right limited religious and political agenda. They're more worried about making a buck while pretending to be pro-life and saving people's souls. There is nothing conserving for future generations with so called conservatives.

The center right and center (is of course, to the left of the Right). Why it's so easy to waaaaah that they're such leftists.

Trying to paint President Obama and his supporters with the same brush, as in waaaaah, both sides do it, is dishonest and false.

You want to stand up by your claim, give specific examples (and not from a Right news sources, online or mainstream media: Fox or TeaNN) of what exactly Obama or his supporters have done that is comparable to anything on the Right.

Comparable especially to anything associated directly or indirectly with Sarah Palin.

So, give specific examples of to back up your statement. Otherwise, it's just more Right waaaaah. Smoke and mirrors. Don't pay attention to their corporate puppet masters pulling their minion tea puppets strings. Ignore their wizards behind the curtain. Etc.

Gryph, what has caused you to change your mind about this stuff?
A year ago, you scoffed at your readers posting serious comments about the 2nd Amendment Task Force and Norm Olson, previous commander of Michigan Militia and connected to McVeigh and Oklahoma City.

You characterized them as nothing more than a bunch of little boys playing army in the backyard. Remember?

There's a HUGE bunch of us with the same concerns we've always had.
    > Active military off the base "moonlighting" as private security forces. Alaska's little junior Blackwater.
This is concerning for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the military being compromised. Joe Miller an attorney in Fairbanks government offices. His wife on the Judicial Council.

    > They haven't yet mentioned Norm Olson's role here. Olson is the Alaska militia head honcho. A huge secured property down on the Kenai. IRS tax-exempt 501c3 charitable non-profit status as a "church".
Regular on-line forum postings giving advice on how militia folks can come up to Alaska, how to get guns through Canada, etc etc.

    > His relationship to David Luntz, a Delta Junction man who works on Fort Greeley and openly uses his military email to communicate and schedule militia activities.

    > The Seward Highway is the only road access, ingress/egress to the entire Kenai peninsula south of Anchorage.
Same for the Glenn Hwy to the north. Just one road into Valdez.

People have NOT been overreacting. Alaskans are rightfully worried about vulnerability to unmonitored irrational crazy freaks with stockpiles of guns who believe that those who don't agree with them are the enemy to be taken out.

This same group of people tend to be the folks advocating violence against gays, and like the idea of putting 'em in a concentration camp with a big electrified fence until they die off.

So I'm glad you're viewing this in a more serious light. Even if it's only because you see a Palin connection.

I think when you live around them and know them as some do in Alaska you see the front they put on. Shaffer Cox, son of a preacher, is like many kids up there {at first glance}. He is kind of kind looking. Possibly has a charming personality.

The right wing blogs I've read talk about them as they do Palins. Hardworking, nicest folk you want to meet, wonderful family and the same old rhetoric. Like Sally Heath they are just patriots to the neighbors. No one is going to tell if they know who to go to for arson or knock someone off.

See, the problem is that they don't _have_ a "front." This is who they are. They don't pretend otherwise. The problem is that it gets minimized as nothing. The militia folks are proud of being considered radical and they like being feared.

They believe that they are at risk of eminent arrest, that there are secret camps to hold them, with the primary facility in Alaska.
"There over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards, but they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States...
The majority of the camps can house a population of 20,000 prisoners. Currently, the largest of these facilities is just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. The Alaskan facility is a massive mental health facility and can hold approximately 2 million people."

      They ARE on the radar.

      Excerpted from Wikipedia:
Michigan Militia = the Waco, Texas standoff at the Branch Davidian church and Ruby Ridge event (the Weaver family).

Michigan Militia believed these events to be illegal show of force by the Federal Government against citizens who had not committed any federal crimes, but were targeted for simply having views contrary to those in government at the time.

Norman Olson (Commander of the MMC until after the Oklahoma City bombing) and other militia leaders testified before the United States Senate Subcommittee on Terrorism on June 15, 1995.
He published a press release blaming the Japanese for the bombing, supposedly in retaliation for a clandestine US-sponsored gas attack in the Tokyo subway system.

    YEEEEHHHHH Comment on HP:

A thought I have carried since I knew Palin was going to run for VP with McCain.

Being such an extreme narcissist, there is no way she was going to come that close to the presidency and sit in second place for 4 years and/or wait for 4 years to then run for president.

NO WAY would McCain have lived through his term. Alaskans joked about McCain needing a food taster.

Then when her connection to Shaffer Cox came out, ----couple of years back ! to us this trial showing her connection is old news !----jokes stopped and we knew HOW Palin would have had her obstacle removed.

Make no mistake, Palin was NOT running for VP. She was running for president as much told the world that when she started "going rogue" and went into competition with McCain. She mistakenly thought she was getting so much publicity that she could surpass McCain.

There is so much more we in Alaska know about her and when the media finally start s really investigating ALL her many grifter scams, people will be amazed at what she has gotten away with.

  32. I don't know whose kid is in the video but he seems agitated and disturbed and just odd which is understandable considering the conversations he's surrounded by. No innocence for that poor little guy.

Vile, disgusting, and oh so fitting! I'm grateful their plot never got to fruition. Thank You, Gryphen, for keeping us all informed. I'll be on this all day tomorrow, updating my previous letters. Haven't gotten a response yet, but SOMEONE in the media HAS to expose these criminals.
