Susan B. Anthony understood it back in 1872.

The question is, why do so many so-called "conservative" women not understand it today?

They'd rather be racists (and get the uppity nigger outta their W.H.) than feminists. The GOP has manipulated/convinced woman to feel worthless and second-class. Sick. Racism and hate is sanctioned by "daddy" right-wing screechers -- women are those who speak up for themselves are sluts. Poor, misguided right-wing women. What f-g dupes.

You are part of the problem when you choose words that are racially unacceptable and demeaning.

    2. Language check! Wow... Yes, it's racism but not only racism. It's also religious-based sexism. The evangelicals demand their women remain subservient to men. Women being ignored or mistreated by their political party is just an extension of their biblical beliefs.

Come on, anon 5:54. The OP was basically quoting the thought process of the typical rush-bot. We shouldn't candy-coat their bigotry. Show it to be as ugly as it really is.

I wish you had omitted certain verbiage in your first sentence. As a Black person, it gave me a jolt.

    1. I agree entirely. I'm sorry we had to put up with it.

GOP/tea women. Stepford wives and others with the Stockholm Syndrome.

Though Bain might produce tea women bots somewhere in the world. Oh wait, that's also the Mormon church.

Systematic propaganda that convinced many that feminism and standing up for yourself was equal to hating men, not wanting to be married or have children. AND, claimed that feminism judged those other women, the married moms, as being inferior, to "they", the superior feminists who knew enough not to "settle".

It's a multi.pronged attack, but has proven devastating to feminism.

    Fucking bastards.

This reminds me of when my lesbian friends told me they really liked Sarah Palin. I just really don't get it...

Do not judge your friend based on politics. I like to think she likes Palin just like gay men like Tom Cruise.

Gryphen, in answer to your question:

They are not suffragettes, and never have heard of them!

The women holding that banner were heroic warriors for our gender. All of us who came after their successful struggles owe them an everlasting debt of gratitude.

Today's women who blindly follow those who will place them back on the barefoot and pregnant path are the daughters of those who never escaped the paternalistic notions of women as chattel.
    Regressives all!

This country is so much better off with women working, and our children raising themselves. NOT!!!
