This is my body.
Have you ever noticed that NOBODY ever tells a man what to do with his body?
Thanks for posting this !!! I have been sharing it on my facebook page ever since I saw it in the wee hours of the morning on a friend's facebook page. It needs to be seen over and over and over again by every one on the planet !
The men who want to control women and are spouting about this and that and having the right to tell someone ELSE what they can and cannot do with their own bodies are the same ones who want desperately to return to the "glorious Biblical times" when men had ABSOLUTE control over women.
Should these frightened idiots actually succeed in accomplishing their goal (at least, in THEIR minds) the entire world would laugh at us.
At the rate these fools are going, they are going to try to DEMAND that women have ALL they children they are told to have, WHEN they are told to have them, and BY WHOM!
As a male, I say this: Take away the Viagara or Levitra or Cialis or whatever drug they need to "get it up" and see who screams the loudest!
These people are still under the impression that humankind are "special" and are not animals. Well, they aren't minerals. They aren't vegetables. They aren't viruses. That leaves ANIMAL! And we abort animals all the time! And what makes these fools so certain Man is "special"? Man was created in God's image, that's why.
One quibble. "breast cancer, the most invasive form of cancer for women worldwide:" Ovarian cancer is pretty damn invasive-it metastasizes inside your whole belly.
As a woman, the anti-abortion movement in the US is really creepy. And the increase of advertising of the religious beliefs of political candidates. I am proud of being American, but I am scared about what America is becoming - what happened to separation of church and state? What happened to the idea of FREEDOM? Keep your religions to your self. Get in control of your own body and baggage, don't try to control the rest of us.
Humans will have succeeded when everyone is able to respect everyone else as they are. That means to love, not fear. If we hold as our standards a religious document (bible or otherwise) that teaches fear, then we will not be successful as a species.
