Literally EVERY SINGLE speech given, with the possible exception of Condoleezza Rice's speech, was filled with misrepresentations and outright lies about either what the President said, or what the President has done.
Essentially it seemed to me that the Republicans have so little to run on that they are forced to manufacture something negative about Obama, that they can then spend EVERY SINGLE speech attacking. I have heard of the straw man argument, but this is a entire straw man campaign.
To put it more succinctly, "Fuck the Republicans, they're liars!"

Couldn't believe they put Rice up there, Hurricane I coming and then she talks about 9/11 like she hadn't seen the report, all mushroom cloudy, and then they go and fuck up Iraq. Like anyone with a working brain hasn't forgotten all that. Support the troops and all that....too bad they didn't have the support of the asshole draft dodgers sending them there.

ReplyDeleteyeah they're liars gryphen, but the problem is that their supporters want lies - they don't want the truth. truth leads them to understand that everything they've been taught is wrong, and that's just too scary for them to deal with. because the supporters are fine with the lies it's just going to continue, so try not to let it affect your blood pressure. can't do anything about it.
ReplyDeleteand take heart - obama is going to eviscerate them when he speaks at the convention. when he is done with his speech, every one of those shits will be looking like the petulant lying bullies that they are. and it's going to be a beautiful thing. the country will be reminded once again, why he is the president - and why he should get another term.

She gets the dummies who feel the need to defend Romney, even if he is convicted of first degree murder, to admit that Romney doesn't exactly go along with the Republican Party platform.
They rabidly defend his position, saying some of those old, all-American platitudes like how no one should be FORCED to believe and act in any certain way...we have FREEDOM in America, to make our own choices!
Bee nods, and leads them down the primrose path to having them claim to be staunch believers in PRO CHOICE!

I watched all three nights, the last was a doosie! Clint Eastwood's schtick was disgusting, demeaning and disrepectful of President Obama. He spoke to an empty chair, putting foul language and talking down to the imaginary President.

If Romney can't do an easy job like replacing the light bulb in the stove right, why would anyone want to trust him with our country?
