Yet another no-nonsense, FACTUALLY based, Obama ad. Keep them coming DNC!

I keep hearing people acting surprised that the Obama team and the Democrats are being so aggressive.

My response is that if we had been kicking ass for the last fifteen years this country would NEVER have suffered the setback that it has under Republican leadership.

The new Democratic platform should read, "No More Mr Nice Guy!"

It's still too fluffy if you ask me. We need commercials that are gonna get people talking and foaming at the mouth while their doing it. That's what (unfortunately) American's listen too.

And lets's be clear on Bain--correct me if I'm wrong.

Bain Capitol went in and STOLE PENSION FUNDS and whatever liquidity these companies had and THEN the companies had to file BANKRUPTCY so any debt was absorbed by the AMERICAN TAX PAYORS!!! Rmoney is nothing but a CROOK and should be put in jail NOT running for POTUS!!

And as far as I understand the republicans have been raiding the coffers of SS and Medicare over the past thirty years thanks to Reagan "steal what you can" enomics. Why aren't the Dems out there screaming about what a fraud "conservatives" are?? That's the biggest argument I hear from my Repug friends is the Dems are spenders and Repugs are fiscally responsible.

I know there are IM'ers who have a better understanding of how are country has gone from Reaganomics, to Clinton surplus, to Bush robbery but that's how I overall see it. Remember Gore said SS should be in a "locked box" the Bush years were a Bain raid on the American coffers and now the tax payers ONCE again are left holding the bill. And WHO made out during this rape and plunder of Americas solvency (look Sarah I used your word) the top 1% that's who!!!! You know MItt Romney and ilk. Why isn't Clinton saying more?? I would be bulls##t if I left office with the country in such good shape and watched it all get ruined.

OT, but too rich-- the minions are going bananas over SP's Megyn Kelly interview last night--someone at Faux News is clearly heard saying the word "zealot" over her jabbering at the 1:34 mark in the video. Can't find it at youtube, so I'll link it below (it's also at the Sea). The faithful are DEMANDING that Faux apologize to the Queen for what most of the conscious world believes--can you imagine? ;) Check it out before those in charge pull it (oh, and our little fashion plate looks completely different yet again--who does she think she is? Madonna?)

No matter how the Democrats' ads are factual, the right-leaning media calls it lies. But people aren't stupid, and it's so obvious that they are grasping at straws.

Just observing morning commentary on last night's speeches and most are in agreement that there was no real excitement, speeches were angry, fake outrage, lack of joy. Of course the campaign managers may have asked speakers to maintain a serious note because of the hurricane, but this convention's first day really had no air in the tires.

The storm put an uncelebratory attitude on the convention so far. Even without the storm, the speakers and audience weren't animated. If 'anger' is their only weapon, it shows the hypocrisy even more as they can't conjure up one great attribute of Mitt Romney.

  11. The Dems are not going to make the mistake they made in 2010 thinking that the voters would still remember the Bush years. The Repubs trashed the Dems and there was little or no push back. We are now struggling with the results. We need to not only keep Obama in the White House but we need to make sure that he has a co-operative Congress to work with. If the Dems don't go after these outright lies from the Repubs, then we are in for a world of hurt.

Christie has thrown his over-sized hat into the ring for 2016. What a load of delusional crap he laid on the audience last night.

To Anne Romney: we women do not love you. We want to keep our reproductive rights and your party wants to take them away.

    1. WTF! Did anyone else see the actual BEEHIVE planted on Baldy's big ole head? It included real live BEE'S buzzing around it trying to find the hole to get inside!

I guess the bee's were too scared to get close to Baldy's mouth...afraid that they would get stuck...especially with all that shiny gloss she plastered on her lips!

I guess Baldy really is the QUEEN BEE!

She was also wearing colored contacts...no more "shark eyes" for her huh...instead she's going for some kind of old lady school marm look!

Loved the little digs Bret took at her... "what it was like for YOU Governor...4 years ago"...LOL!!

She looked like a little girl trying to be on her best behavior...hoping that "Big Daddy" will give her a pat on the head! Give it up Baldy....they all know that you are the pitbull that bites OFF that hand that feeds it! You're finished!

Oh and according to the fools at the Asylum...it's "Baldy Palin Day"...4 years ago today...the shit stain on America's underwear made her first appearance and no amount of Spray-n-wash or Bleach has been able to get her out! LOL!!!

David Brooks made a very humorous attempt at mocking liberals for how we see Romney. In doing so, he himself made the best mocking portrayal of Romney I have seen.

    1. Olivia,
Thanks for the link. Very interesting and insightful for both sides of the political scale. Taking time to stop and view something from the perspective of a competing viewpoint can either reinforce one's opinion or allow us to question why we believe what we do. I consider it a healthy exercise.

In many ways, it forces someone to think about it rather than accept the facts/reject the lies that our own "personal political programming" might naturally filter otherwise.

nice! I heard that last night's meeting of the skuzzbuckets in tampa had lots of jabs at "you didn't build that" so I am hoping that the obama campaign really runs with this one.

  15. OT, but another $arah-endorsed candidate went down in flames in Gilbert, Arizona:

Congressional District 5: Salmon, 54, served three terms in the U.S. House and then retired in 2000 under self-imposed term limits. He has said he wants to offer voters in his district experience at a time when government was spending too much.

Salmon got endorsements from Gov. Jan Brewer and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, while Adams, 39, the former state House speaker, was endorsed by Sens. John McCain and Jon Kyl, along with Palin and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

  17. Good.

I've been advocating NO More Mr. Nice Guy, Tit for Tat, Giving the Gander his share of the Sauce for years.

It's about time the Democrats started giving the Republicans a taste of their own playbook.

I love the ad because it's Romney's own words not taken out of context. I'm sick of Romeny's whining about the "vicious attack ad campaign" President Obama has engaged in, when they gloss over how overspent the Obama team is, and how vicious and untrue the ads he and his own pacs are running. The Mantra they're using is false. President Obama was making a valid point about infrastructure and how Government helps business by building infrastructure to keep the flow of goods to and from the market.

I watched the second (thrird?) night of the GOP partay in tampa. Grandpa McCain is drumming the idea of more war with Iraq, Condi did a fantastic speech but forgot to mention Obama 1 Osama 0. And she STILL believes Saddam Hussein was behind 911. Romney's going to pale by comparison. She's extremely intelligent and eloquent, the best political speech I've heard second to President Obama.

Candy Crowly interviewed Cindy Loo (who looked radishing!) And Cindy loo actually said, among other things, something to the effect "Ann Romney's speech was wonderful, she has a beautiful family and she's such an iron person" It was cornteeth unmaverick's 76 th birthday.

I suppose "iron person" is billionaire code for something, what it means I'd really like to know.

Paul Ryan is the new conservative darling standard bearer. His speech was full of Family, Faith, God, Right to Life and all the dog whistles. Fact Check is going to have a field day with the lies and distortions he said about President Obama, especially raiding medicare.
