After the debate EVERY Republican lowlife crawled out of the woodwork to do their rhythmless victory dance. So "you know who" certainly wasn't going to be left out of the festivities.

Click snarl to play video
I am not going to put myself, nor all of you, through too much of Palin's patented batshit crazy word salad this morning, but I thought his rather remarkably ironic declaration and the crazed warning afterward deserved to be noted.

"Anybody can be an actor, anyone can get up on the their on a stage and repeat what other people are telling them to say and have written for them. It's a completely different situation when one is forced to be candid and really stand on their record and what their true beliefs are. You saw a manifestation of that tonight. And that's why you saw the truly wea..there is a choice for the American voter, in whihc direction America will go under whihc candidate, to be chosen in November. You saw that clear contrast tonight."

"Now we have to be aware in the next couple debates also if Mitt Romney continues to gain and gain and gain just by being truthful and experienced and intelligent, that doing a good job as a presidential candidate, these guys in the Obama camp, they're not going go down without swinging. They're going pull something," former Governor Sarah Palin warned after tonight's debate."

"And the American public, with the media's help, these lapdogs in the media, kind of going along with what Obama and his people want to do to shake some things up if Mitt Romney continues to do so well. The American public just needs to be aware that they've got to do their own home work, don't rely on the shelter of the media, and just be aware something could be pulled here to turn things around if Mitt Romney continues to gain so much ground."

This from the woman whose ENTIRE debate performance was scripted for her, and  who ultimately failed so magnificently when asked in interviews to expand upon her BS.

I assume it is these follow up interviews that Palin characterizes as the Obama camp "pulling something."

I have already pointed out that it appeared Romney may have received some of his debate advice from Palin. Let's see if he follows her lead when it comes to answering questions in the interviews that follow.

P.S. Did anybody else notice that THIS looked like the first time that Palin was really happy to be talking about Mitt Romney? I guess now that he has "gone rogue" she considers him one of her cubs. One of her hateful, venom spewing, cubs.

"I almost felt sorry for him in his role as president trying to explain why we need to repeat four more years of failed policies..." Sarah Palin

Sarah your problem is that you are always sticking your nose in grown folks business that you know nothing about.

"I almost felt sorry for him"

Here's your problem Sarah, how about feeling sorry for Bristol? Bristol has no business being in an All Star dance competition with the lack of skills and lazy attitude she has. Bristol has had the same experience and time on the dance and practice floor as the other dancers but something in her genetic make up is holding her back. The same genetics that makes your children lack the drive, ambition and knowledge to go to college and succeed. You, your husband and children just want the easy life of doing reality tv.

The question is what will Bristol do once she gets laid off from her DWTS job? Will she go back to her job crying to every talk show host how she is a single struggling mother while peddling her second memoir of the first 21 years of her life?

Don't worry about President Obama, worry about your dysfunctional family. That's your biggest problem.

And put some clothes on Piper! She is way too young to dress like a street walker or one of Todd's prostitutes.

I have to admit I was disappointed in the results of the debate last night. Probably because I have very high expectations of our President. I expected him to hit Romney back with the lies.

However, after riding the bus into work this morning, and eaves dropping on various conversations, what I heard the most was that the President provided details and Romney was once again too vague. None of the stuff that the pundits are going crazy on, really seemed to matter to most. They wanted to hear the details

YES YES YES, the PEOPLE who watched the debate wanted specifics on what was the plan each candidate was bringing to the table. Either the Romney folks fucked up big time. The PEOPLE wanted specifics not NEGATIVITY and that was all Romney brought to the debate.
President Obama laid out his plans, and did not fall for jumping down Romney's throat. He acted like the only grown up in the room, Lehrer was a nonentity as far as anyone was concerned.
The huge take away I got was how a lot of the pundit class was whining on why President Obama did not call out Romney's lies. THIS was their own take away. Romney L-I-E-S.

    2. Anonymous11:21 AM

Maybe the mainstream media and the folks at FOX should think before they speak. Mitt Romney came across as the bully he is, not wanting to cooperate with the format and lying his way through the evening. President Obama, on the other hand, with weighty foreign affairs on his mind yesterday, remained temperate and under control. Had he turned on Romney and been uncharacteristically nasty, everyone would have lauded Romney. There was no way that President Obama could win with the media last night - they hyped the whole thing in order to claim Romney victorious. Those of us who care about the person who leads the country saw President Obama as a man in control of himself. I am glad to hear that regular people saw through the media feeding frenzy.

    3. This is one of the BEST articles I've read and shows the MOTIVE ($$) behind our MSM including MSNBC talking heads.
      http://consortiumnews.com/2012/10/04/did-romney-win-the-debate/

"But how to explain the behavior of the TV commentators, especially those on MSNBC, whose instant “spin” on behalf of Romney surely influenced the opinions of millions of Americans in their own assessments of who won?

Though MSNBC has done a relatively good job of creating some balance in a cable TV environment that Fox News has tilted sharply to the right, its hosts are under corporate pressure to present themselves as neutral newscasters in situations like Wednesday’s debate. (Remember the trouble that Keith Olbermann encountered.)"

Blogs, they are our only hope.

    I’ve got a question:

A fellow I know from Massachusetts comes across exactly like Romney in that debate, especially if he’s trying to get a loan he knows he won’t repay. He talks the same way, he holds his mouth the same way between sentences (there’s some trick going on), the smile is identical and the hair is almost the same. He looks more like Romney than one of Mitt’s sons. I know it’s an affectation, but I’m not sure where it comes from. It’s not really JFK.

What last night demonstrated to me is that it is very difficult to call someone out on their lies when they ignore your facts and just keep repeating the same lines. What was telling to me was early in the debate when Romney accused the President of "you keep repeating the same line hoping that people wil believe it." As if Romney was NOT the one lying at all, but the only one telling the truth. As the fact checkers are coming out with today, there was very little truth from Romney. I find it appalling that the GOP is so head over heels about this pitiful 'performance.' What does Sarah think, that Romney was not reciting exactly what he was told, in exactly the manner they obviously practiced many times? Get him off script and see how he 'performs.' I'll love the town hall when he tells someone to shut up because he didn't ask for their question. The real Romney was not revealed last night, only a phonier fake one.

President Obama was respectful and I think planned on letting Romney roll on and on and hurt himself in the end.

Immediately after the debates, hell before the candidates had even left the stage, the Repubs were all over saying that Romney had "won".

If winning means telling the most falsehoods in the least amount of time is winning, then Romney wins. If it means who can be the biggest asshole, then obviously Romney is an Olympic Champion.

Tim Russert was an absolute failure. I think Obama was waiting for him to reign in Romney, but instead Tim just let Romney keep ranting on and on and on saying the same false talking points.

The bullying and condescending attitude displayed by Romney was very sad.

And now people are starting to say, Uh, Romney lied all the way through, Uh, Russert was ineffectual,, Uh, Romney was a bully and the President was calm, collected and let Romney hang himself by his own rope.

We will not see this same performance next debate. The next one the President will eat him for lunch. Wait and watch.

Who the hell assumes they'll have enemies? I'm over 50 and have never had one single enemy in my entire life. If they're that concerned about enemies, why wouldn't they say "May we always be happy and have no enemies"?

Otherwise, keep you distance and try another time.

You can never be "happy" if you know you have "enemies," since you haven't tried hard enough to give them love.

I just want to add that Palin to this day is still being told what to say. She's probably the only paid Fox contributor who is a middle man...an actor/spokesman/performer who pays consultants to give her talking points.

The President actually did a good job laying out his achievements and policies and countering some of Romney's lies...just not forcefully enough to win the style points and with missed opportunities to hold Romney accountable. But we saw what happened when he called Romney out on the $5T tax reduction that would ultimately hit the middle class---Romney simple lied. The Pres. also called him out on trickle-down economics and Romney also lied, describing the same old trickle-down while insisting it was something new.

I was appalled at MSNBC last night and their horrible reaction to President Obama.

Did they even think that there might have been a plan in the way President Obama handled the debate? Perhaps he planned to just let Romney talk his head off and totally disclose himself for the fool he is? Romney assuredly did that!

Romeny was a bully, overly hyper, breathing heavy, meaness in his eyes and assuredly didn't follow the rules of the debate. President Obama just let him be the fool he was!

Where is all the fact checking of the Romney commentary? We know he lies and changes his mind constantly.

I appreciate the calmness displayed by President Obama and he did get information out to all of us in spite of the nastiness of Romney. President Obama is NOT a bully. He is respectful and he follows the rules. Romney was an ass and jerk to both President Obama and the moderator of the debate.

He let Romney spout off lie, after lie, after lie, knowing full well Mitt is on the video tapes and interwebs staying the EXACT opposite of everything he stated last night. The president is already at his rally today, bludgeoning Mitt with his own words and flip flops.

I wanted to punch Ed Schultz and Chris Matthews...they are typical reactionary lefties losing sight of the long game. There are two more debates to go...chill the f out. But - my timeline for action was not Obama's. He plays it cool until he is ready. What he did last night was lull Romney into a false sense of accomplishment. He was able to draw out of Romney some incredible promises and committments. Now R will have to live with them. Have faith everyone. Obama is a heck of a lot sharper than Romney. Let's be patient.

Romney is probably a terrible poker player. If he followed the tenets of his religion, he has never played any card game.

This causes a logical disconnect. If one hasn't gambled, how can one properly understand risk taking behavior? Obama and his advisers know this and probably use it against Mitt.

Elder John Widstoe (Quorum of the Twelve Apostles):

"It has been observed through centuries of experience that the habit of card playing becomes fixed upon a person and increases until he feels that a day without a game of cards is incomplete.
After an afternoon or evening at card-playing, nothing has been changed, no new knowledge, thoughts, or visions have come, no new hopes or aspirations have been generated, except for another opportunity to waste precious hours. It leads nowhere; it is a dead-end road. Dull and deadly is a life which does not seek to immerse itself in the rapidly moving stream of new and increasing knowledge and power. Time is required to ‘keep up with the times.’ We dare not waste time on pastimes that starve the soul."

    2. Anonymous4:58 PM

KitchenAid, the iconic home appliance brand, issued an apology soon after a staffer posted an offensive tweet from the company's official account.

"Obamas gma even knew it was going 2 b bad! 'She died 3 days b4 he became president," @KitchenAidUSA tweeted to over 25,000 followers Wednesday night.

The tweet presumably referenced President Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, who died on Nov. 2, 2008.

The President referred to his grandmother during the debate, saying: "You know, my grandmother - some of you know - helped to raise me. My grandparents did. My grandfather died a while back. My grandmother died three days before I was elected president."

KitchenAid quickly deleted the tweet. The company's senior director of branding Cynthia Soledad took responsibility for the offensive message and tweeted an apology to the President, followed by an explanation.

"Deepest apologies for an irresponsible tweet that is in no way a representation of the brand's opinion," @KitchenAidUSA tweeted.

"I would like to personally apologize to President @BarackObama, his family and everyone on Twitter for the offensive tweet sent earlier," @KitchenAidUSA continued.

"It was carelessly sent in error by a member of our Twitter team who, needless to say, won't be tweeting for us anymore," @KitchenAidUSA tweeted.

Soledad released this statement to Mashable via email:

"During the debate tonight, a member of our Twitter team mistakenly posted an offensive tweet from the KitchenAid handle instead of a personal handle. The tasteless joke in no way represents our values at KitchenAid, and that person won't be tweeting for us anymore. That said, I lead the KitchenAid brand, and I take responsibility for the whole team. I am deeply sorry to President Obama, his family, and the Twitter community for this careless error. Thanks for hearing me out."

There are no additional details on what happened to the staffer.

After taking some time to restore reasonable thinking and calmness - I made a nice donation to re-elect President Obama and I'm ready to keep up the good fight.

It is up to us to get the message out there about the LIES Romney sprewed, and calmly but relentlessly point out how rude, bullying, creepy, etc. that he was - and ask do we really want someone like that representing our country around the world? There are more undediced out there then I could have imagined - but they are open to reasonable facts and dialogue and persuasion to see reality of all that President Obama has accomplished.

Of course I would have liked President Obama to be more forceful, between whimpering in disbelief, cursing at the moderator for not doing his job, I was shouting out to my tv last night responses using Romney's OWN words to hang him - BUT the President is the grown up in the room, and as stated in other comments - the idiots on the right were waiting to pounce should there have been anything at all that their little pee brain imaginations could have whipped up into a frenzy of "angry black man" propaganda - sooooo as frustrating as it was, and at times heartbreaking - President Obama made a good choice in how he handled the debate - he was presidential, got his message out there, and remained above the nasty, bullying spittle that was being sprewed by Romney.

This approach also allowed Romeny to be over confident and babble on and on and on sprewing forth more lies and flip flops in full view of everyone watching that can now be shown side by side with his previous statements - this is up to the PACs to get the message out!!! It also opens him up to further questions in interviews - where he has to either own what he said in the debate or flip flop yet again.

Stay strong and get the word out, help your neighbors register to vote and get to polls on election day!

Obama: ‘Thank Goodness Somebody Is Finally Getting Tough On Big Bird’

President Obama mocked Mitt Romney for mentioning that he would cut funding to PBS as part of his deficit-reduction plan in Wednesday night's debate during a rally in Denver, Colorado Thursday morning.

"Thank goodness somebody is finally getting tough on Big Bird," Obama said. "It's about time. We didn't know that Big Bird was driving the federal deficit."

Gallup: Obama’s Approval Rating Reaches 54 Percent, Highest Mark Since ‘09

Fifty-four percent of American adults approve of President Barack Obama's job performance, according to Gallup's daily tacking poll released Thursday.

That's not only Obama's high-water mark for 2012, it's also his highest approval rating in Gallup's tracking since November of 2009. It also shows 42 percent give Obama negative marks for his job performance, matching his lowest disapproval rating for 2012. Gallup's previous four releases this year that showed only 42 percent disapproving of Obama all came in September.

The tracking period for Thursday's release was Oct. 1-3.

The 12 Lies That Made Mitt Romney’s Debate Performance Pure Fiction

...Romney was offensive, rude and arrogant (and not in a good way), but his policies weren’t the kind of crazy he’s been bragging up on the trail. He abandoned the Tea Party and the GOP last night, and basically fashioned himself into a rough outline of Obama, policy wise. The problem is, he was lying. That was a fictional Romney, not the Romney we have on tape from the entire past year, or for that matter all the way back to 1994.

So if Mitt Romney won this debate, he did it by lying about who he is and how he plans to govern. He stood on that stage and huffed and puffed how dare Obama claim he was going to defund education, when we know for a fact that not only did he float that in Massachusetts, but press overheard him at a closed door fundraiser telling his donors that he couldn’t tell us he was going to kill the Department of Education, so he would starve it in other ways. That guy, the guy who sneeringly explained how he couldn’t tell you the truth, he was poutraged last night when Obama called him on his sudden shape shifting.

Mitt Romney told outright lies about his record on several occasions – at least 12 times. The day after the debate, the brutal results of presenting a fictional Romney are starting to sink in.

He is just a silly old man grasping at money, pretending the presidency means anything to him beyond paying back his backers and starting war with Iran to make up for his draft-dodging, cowardly ways, like Bush.

Here's an honest opinion about the debates from someone who isn't a political junkie (like a lot of IM readers are).

I usually don't get into national elections until closer to the election. I have lots of friends on both the far right and the far left and in between so I get stuff from both sides.

Most of what I know about Mitt Romney is from this site and from the links you post, which I often read and appreciate(and from conservatives who hate Obama. Your comments make more sense.).

My sense last night was that Obama was calm and informed. Romney seemed tense and ill at ease. He talked fast and smirked and came off as a bully.

Overall Mitt did a lot better than I expected given all the gaffs and such I read about here at IM.

Obama seemed more "presidential" and confident. I also got a lot out of Obama's head shaking at Romney's comments. A huge dis without using words.

Obama did repeatedly point out Romney's inconsistencies. He did not "attack" he was presidential and was comfortable and sure about his facts, talking like someone who knows what he's talking about, and was good explaining things to "the people".

My 2 cents...from someone who's fairly informed, but just not into national politics yet. I suspect my opinion is shared by many who are not political "junkies".

Bristol I wouldn't form my mouth like that in your picture below. It makes your new chin stick out and you can really see your chin implant.

Gryphen if you can, maybe you can zoom in on this picture? Bristol's mouth/lines looks like one of those Charlie McCarthy dummies (puppets).

Will this be Bristol's excuse to exit stage left or an opportunity to play the victim and grift more votes? They need to check the package to see if Sarah Palin's fingerprints are on them.

Bristol Palin targeted in suspicious package sent to 'Dancing With the Stars' film studio - report

A suspicious package sent to the CBS studio lot yesterday (Oct. 3) contained a threatening note regarding Bristol Palin, TMZ reports.

According to a studio source, the package contained a white powdery substance (later found to be harmless) and a note "that read something like, 'This is what will happen to you if Bristol Palin stays on [the show].'"

Now a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars," currently filming on the CBS studio lot, Palin was also the target of a similar threat when she first competed on the show in 2010.

After Tuesday night's (Oct. 2) "DWTS" results show, Palin told us she is often a victim of hate mail: "I don't [read fan comments] because people have such opinions on me. 'Oh, I hate you, I want you dead, I'm going to shoot my TV' or 'I love you guys.' I don't read any of it. I'm not very engulfed in it."

Although Bristol and her partner, Mark Ballas, earned the lowest scores from the judges this week, they received enough votes to move on in the competition, irking many fans.

That happened before? It is probably one of their over worked up fans. They attract crazies from all walks of life.

It is also a good way to get publicity and attention. If they want to sell their brand they need to create action.

Someone has it out for Bristol Palin on "Dancing with the Stars" -- TMZ has learned, the suspicious package that was sent to the CBS lot yesterday came with ONE demand ... remove Bristol from the show ... or else.

Sources at CBS tell TMZ, a note was attached to the white-powdery package that read something like, "This is what will happen to you if Bristol Palin stays on [the show]."

The white powder was later determined to be harmless -- but we're told law enforcement is still treating the situation as a credible threat, and is currently investigating the situation.

FYI -- this is the SECOND time Bristol has been targeted by a suspicious letter while appearing on "Dancing with the Stars." The first package was sent when Bristol first appeared on the show in 2010. It also contained a threat.

Bristol is currently a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars."

If it is someone they can prove is a Democrat they will arrest and give them a long time behind bars. If there is no proof of a Democrat it is a "False Flag Operation". It will be like the other one. Bristol will get victim attention, sympathy and generate more votes to win as the girl that can't dance. Is there an All Star competition for best victim?

Go to "Open Debates" website. Might explain last night. Americans need a better election process. A debate once a week for 3 months straight before the election. I think the President will fix Rmoney's boat. Everyone stay focused and positive. Now for Sarah Palin. The rapture witch sociopath opportunist and her little gang of ignorant trolls will be silenced soon. Give her some rope. Did Todd Signed the FOI release yet? Whats up with the new bristol palin redneck glasses? Does that redneck tramp think it makes her look intelligent or what? F off sarah and todd.

People like Coulter, Malkin, Palin remind me damned souls, earthbound ghosts, who mock and jeer the living in the hopes it will bring relief to their eternal self-loathing.

I don't comment very much on here!! I do have to say, "MY GOSH"!!!! She sure gets uglier and uglier with every picture she has taken. Guess there was a reason the RNC needed all of those credit cards in '08 to make her look good.

Wow, I just stumbled on this site. If you people would waste half as much time on helping someone or some cause, the world would be a better place.

I don't know if I've seen so much hate in one place.

And, I really don't like, or not like Palin, but you people need to find a new hobby.

I was actually searching for a sports story in Alaska, that is how I stumbled upon you.

Don't even like politics, but, I had to comment, really, help the world somehow, the world has enough hate.

Onward to try to find my sports article. Good luck with all of this!!!

    LOL Geez!!
