AL Sharpton wants to know, "What in the world is going on with John McCain?" Good question!

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Now I am not always Reverend Sharpton's biggest fan, but I thought that this John McCain smack down on his show was probably the best one of the day.

And of course it certainly did not hurt that he had the beautiful Rula Jebreal on either. And SHE is the one to bring up the Lunatic from lake Lucille as a slam against McCain's ability to judge somebody's intelligence or capabilities?

Actually everybody on the panel used Palin to pound away at McCain's credibility, and considering his statements it is the perfect opportunity to do so.

Sarah Palin's highest aspiration was to be like the Tampa-twins. She couldn't even begin to imagine being a flam-flam artist like Paula Broadwell.
What must really sting for her is that they've taken her place as skanky, conniving, superficial Republican wannabes. She's history in every sense of the word. She can tweet and Facebook as much as she wants to, but they've invaded her territory and the cameras have moved onto them.

Just imagine - this is the man who would have been president TODAY if the McCain/Palin ticket had won!

As Joan Walsh so diplomatically put it - he appears to be increasingly unhinged, and bitter.

Also still showing his poor judgment - and his ass!

He also showed his true character in that hissy fit at the CNN reporter who asked him why he wouldn't answer the question about why he wasn't at the briefing about what he said he wanted to get to the bottom of.

Grandstanding for the cameras, making unnecessarily mean-spirited disparaging remarks about a distinguished professional woman, and really just showing us the bully that he really is.

If ever two people deserved to have their legacies tied together FOREVER for the history books, it's McCain and Palin: wildly unqualified by temperament and character. And losers, hah!

I love Rev. Al Sharpton. He is a no nonsense guy, and he takes no shit off anyone. A very self- assured guy. I love that he called out McCain's bitterness.
McCain is bitter that he lost to a black man. And to make McCain even more bitter, President Obama won reelection.
Romney is on the same page as McCain. Bitter white guys who lost to a man who they think is beneath them, because he is black.

You would be surprised at how many white supremacists are in politics. They think no person of color should ever be in the Office of President of these United States.
This is why McCain and Romney are so bitter, they think it was their birth right to be President, but not Pres. Obama's right to be there.
and Romney is also bitter that he lost to that same black man.

McCain has no credibility here. The guy who graduated fifth from the bottom of his graduating class and who almost put she who must not be named a skipped heartbeat from the Presidency is questioning someone's intelligence? And just a thought at who the Right Wing has gone after the most vehemently in the Obama administration, using lies and what ever else they can to get rid of them: Van Jones, Shirley Sherrod, Eric Holder, Valerie Jarrett, now Susan Rice. Anyone see a pattern here?

The only other person I can think to add is Rahm Emanuel but I'm not sure he was subjected to the same level of vehemence.

It appears the vast Gix wingnut Benghazi conspiracy is crumbling before their tear-clouded eyes. Poor dears. Can they actually finally get to work for the people? Think about it. Since we let the TeaParty and Norquist take over two years ago, the GOP has accomplished nothing in Congress. How many tax dollars have we wasted on their salaries? How many high blood pressure pills have we needed to cope with their insanity? Time to grow up, GOP. Obama is our President. You work for us.

McNasty is clearly suffering from Post-Trouncing-Shame Disorder.

He's re-living the traumatic embarrassment of LOSING in such a public and pronounced manner, voted against by a majority of the country.

He's identifying with loser Mittens and re-living (actually, RE-LOSING!) the election, and all of the post election analysis of shortcomings and mistakes is just too much!

    He. Just. Can't. Take. It.

Sarah Palin is now eclipsed by a more attractive, smarter and infinitely more accomplished YOUNGER woman (Paula), along with being outshone on the attention-whore front by a more attractive, more adept grifter who is also YOUNGER ( Jill).

Sarah loses even at her own chosen game.

  9. It is fitting that Sarah Palin is only referenced today as a joke or as McCain's bad decision. The news no longer follows her. Her FB rants do not receive coverage. She is recognized as a fraud in most circles, even in conservative ranks. And now that some conservatives (Jindall, Schmidt, Scarborough) are acknowledging the damage that their former defended and protected conservative entertainment complex has done to them and the country, I would expect that she will fade away.

I e-mailed Face the Nation to ask if this Sunday when Bob Schieffer has his favorite guest McCain on, if he would post a photo of Palin in her skin tight jeans, skank shoes with her top falling off one shoulder looking like she needs a shower on the set behind Johnny Mac. Ask if he thinks this woman is smarter and more qualified than the supremely intelligent Rice? The woman he ran as his VP who attended 6 colleges, where nobody remembers her, to attain a 4 year degree, which nobody has seen. Is she more qualified than Rhodes scholar, Oxford educated Rice? It is overdue time for an explanation about that entire dark episode in US politics to be exposed. Her is a woman who ran for VP whose main object in life now is getting a reality show on TV. Little Johnny has some 'splainin' to do.

I love Al Sharpton and thoroughly dislike John McCain and Sarah Palin. Sarah is a 'has been' and John has no credibility! The guy is one angry, overweight, mean spirited, Republican white guy!

Remember how he stopped his campaign and ran to Washington D.C. (due to the financial crisis) and then candidate Obama outshined him during the meeting? He was showboating then as he is now - except currently he is being shown as a liar!

He is leaving a horrible legacy for himself, there is no doubt! It'll either be Palin or this episode. Take your pick!

You know what's scary? You can be a senator and be inflicted with dementia and NO ONE WILL EVER FIND OUT. There's no health test for members of Congress -- there is for the president, but not for members of Congress. Personally, I think he obviously is showing signs of dementia or Alzheimers. Come on, the dude actually said that he never called himself a Maverick. He actually said that! I think people need to start asking whether he's mentally healthy enough to be a US senator and I think people ned to start thinking about forcing him to retire.

Unfortunately, there is another possibility. And I mean POSSIBILITY.

Before I say what it could be, allow me to refresh a few ideas. One. There are a tremendous number of idiots who believe EVERYTHING their beloved Repube leaders tell them. Two. Once they believe something they are told, that's the whole truth and not even provable facts can change their minds. Three. The Repubes currently in power have proven they will do almost anything (there's no PROOF yet of murders, just suspicions) to attain and maintain that power. Four. They are extremely pissed their planned theft of this election didn't go their way. Five. McCain already knows he is obsolete. There are far more, but let me just cut to the chase.

Lindsey Graham is part of this assault on Rice and the President and I KNOW he wants to be President.

SO? So what if this is a planned action to get Graham's face locked into the minds of those jackasses in the Repube party who believe everything they are told? That way when the time comes, those SFB's (shit for brains) will already favorably know of him and won't even consider the facts, only that Graham called the Prez a liar and got away with it.

Anybody got any holes they see in my thought?

Yeah. Lindsay Graham is a closet case and believe it or not a lot of people actually think that he's a RINO.

He's probably doing this to counteract the fact that he said he would compromise on immigration. You can't be seen as being willing to compromise in today's GOP.

We should all remember too that C. Rice {I can never remember how to spell her first name!] was the Bush Administration's national security advisor when 9/11 happened. No one questioned her responsibility for the event despite the obviousness of it. The GOP literally gets away with murder; how many people (Iraqis and Americans) died during George Bush's little Iraq war-without-a-cause? John McCain obviously doesn't care but if 4 Americans die in an international incident during President Obama's term, the president becomes personally responsible? Huh?

I know, he's a crotchety old man who, although he will never admit it, is ashamed that he unleashed the beast unto us. He really needs to pack up and go home, whichever one he can remember he owns, and enjoy what's left of his life.

He was at one time a heroic man and stood up for his beliefs, now, he just looks pathetic and petty. His anger at being beaten by Obama is obvious, especially going balls to the wall about this Benghazi crap right after Obama is re-elected.

Is that why they call him 'song bird' ? He was born into a military family. Spoiled, dumb and crass with connections to get out of trouble. He was set up to run for an office with Mafia connections. His life is a sham and a branding pretense. Any myth any of us once believed was never real.

  26. I have a convoluted observation which is only tangentially related to John McCain, the subject of Gryphen's blog post here.

    1) McCain's daughter Meghan just wrote a Daily Beast article bemoaning what her political party has become, and claiming she's been trying to fight the good fight for moderate Republicans for years.

    http://tinyurl.com/a3nayak

Surrrree. So, why has she refused to dish on what she knows about her father's choice for VP? She's adamantly refused for FOUR YEARS to tell the world what she knows about Sarah Palin, even in the face of Palin's increasingly unhinged neocon wingnut rants.

    2) This brings me to a funny juxtaposition of pictures we noticed in early 2011, Sarah Palin's tacky leopard print stiletto sandals, and those of Snooki Polizzi, a favorite of Meghan's horndog father. We thought Palin was channeling Snooki, but Palin appeared in them February 18, 2011, and Snooki wore hers February 24, 2011.

    http://tinyurl.com/cmubus8

Turns out Palin was probably channeling Meghan McCain herself - this picture shows McCain wearing leopard print stilettos September 8, 2010 while appearing on the Tonight show with Jay Leno.

    http://tinyurl.com/24ke3tr

Palin probably would have mocked/imitated McCain sooner than the next February, but Palin had that second book tour to complete, then a trip to Haiti, then an appearance at the Reagan Ranch...

Huff po has an interesting take on McCain's recent temper tantrum- media whoring campaign, and it's quite enlightening.

"But in January, the Arizona senator will lose his top-ranking committee seat due to term limits. The only ranking Republican spot available to him next session will be on the Indian Affairs Committee.

Unless, that is, the Senate creates a brand-new select committee. On Wednesday, McCain, flanked by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), proposed just that: a select committee with extensive authority to investigate the Benghazi, Libya, attack and the U.S. government's response."
