An early morning reminder from Professor Maddow.
Gotta love Rachel! And, as usual, she is absolutely correct.
Our country really DOES need us to vote (for Barack Obama), regardless of who you end up voting for. (Just so long as it's President Obama.) So don't just stand there, vote!
Gryphen, PLEASE post this video as an update to this post, it's absolutely spot on and such a great recap of the accomplishments of this amazing president:
Rachel Maddow - A presidency of historic consequence
Neither major party's platform mentions bringing the US ballot handling system into the modern day. The FL voters waiting 8 hours to cast early ballots is simply disgraceful. Yet it's not an issue any candidate even mentions. I just feel helpless!
Minneapolis. 9 am. Overcast, cool, damp, though not raining. I waited in line for over an hour to vote. I'm glad I did! :-)
Doing so doesn't make me better than anyone. Yet I'm glad I could stand in line that long now when I'm 56. I admire people with children or babies, or who are older or disabled, who waited in line too.
Wonderful to see such a huge turnout. Now when I walk past a community center near me, I'll remember how long that line was as it went down the block to the next corner.
It's like 2008 all over again, absolutely CRINGING thinking people were STUPID enough to vote for the Wasilla Dingbat.

I came home to discover my daughter had voted in preschool. I grabbed the camera and had the following conversation
