Anchorage police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker said Friday he’s retiring at the end of the year. “I put in my papers today,” he said.
Parker is an ordained preacher and, unlike spokespeople at many police departments, a badge-carrying cop. His last day will be Dec. 31.
Well isn't that interesting?
As many of you might know Parker was the gentleman who very quickly denied the National Enquirer's story of a link between Todd Palin and Shailey Tripp, as well as his involvement with her arrest for prostitution. At teh behest of the Palin's attorney by the way.
However later we learned that he had not exactly been completely honest in his statements.
It should be noted, though I have no evidence of any connections as of yet, that Governor Parnell's sex trafficking task force is currently hearing testimony about how wide speared the problem is in Alaska.
Probably not connected, but I will say that it is interesting timing in that I am pretty sure Officer Parker has some information about that troubling situation that the task force might be very interested in hearing about.
Does he really think resigning is going to make it all go away? Or is he resigning before he's fired? Will that save his pension?
ReplyDeleteA preacher, huh? Ordained minister? And he lied? Isn't there something in the bible about perjury? I seem to recall there's some major rule about not lying. I wonder if ministers be fired and their pensions revoked for lying?
Ya think?
He isn't a Mormon by any chance, is he? Isn't there something in their creeds about "lying for Jesus"?
DeleteYour willingness to speak this way about someone you don't know if very revealing. How do you know he is lying? Or is this just your bias against the Palin family at work? Or, maybe you just don't like preachers. Jesus also said not to gossip or bear false witness against someone. Bearing false witness is spreading information that you do not know to be true. Have you ever lied?
DeleteVery interesting.
ReplyDeleteMalia Litman is still trying to get some attention from Parnell, etc. in Alaska. I believe she sent her most recent request to the State Legislators. Check out her blog today. She has not given up.
ReplyDeleteAre there people in Alaska who could help get some naional attention concerning the new "sex trafficing" investigation? Todd should be at the top of the list.
Pat Padrnos
A preacher cop, defending the Palin's from any of 'em, all of 'em allegations put in front of us over the years.
ReplyDeleteGood riddance. He'll see the light like Frank Bailey, give him time.
Good riddance! I can't stand that mealy-mouthed Xian hypocrite. Not that the other guy is much of an improvement. Who but the APD would have a spokesperson who speaks English as a second language?
ReplyDeleteHe's a minister, huh? I hope he believes in a god that requires him to tell the truth rather than in whatever "god" Sarah and Todd worship.
ReplyDeleteJudgmental much?
DeleteHe probably sees the handwriting on the wall and is getting out. Can he be called to testify if he's retired?
ReplyDeleteHe sure can!
DeleteHe is such a pleasant nice looking handsome man in a uniform. He couldn't do anything wrong.
ReplyDeleteLt. Dave Parker has better PR than the pentagon for their Generals. It always pays to do well for your well connected friends.
ReplyDeleteSome Alaskans see this guy on TV more often than they see their own parents.
http://community.adn.com/?q=adn/node/162861
He's a bear tasering fool.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.adn.com/2010/08/02/1392724/police-discourage-use-of-tasers.html
At least he gave the bear a second chance. More than you seem to be doing for him!
DeleteWish we knew exactly who made the decision that the APD/Parker would provide cover for the Palins.
ReplyDeleteAlso wish we knew why some Anchorage-based bloggers have been silent on the APD corruption evident in Parker's 'news release'. It's not like they shy away from sex scandals and corruption involving other city and state politicians and the APD's action was problematic whether or not all of Shailey's claims are true.
"APD corruption evident in Parker's . . ." Let me get this straight. You are taking the word of the National Inquirer over the word of Lt. Parker? Have you read the Inquirer articles. It states the release and then "suggests" that the writer knows more. Does he say what? No, he just makes suggestive statements. No facts, just attacks. And you are taking it hook, line and sinker. Doesn't say much for you.
DeleteDidn't General Petraeus just quit, too? I say it is Mercury Retrograde.
ReplyDeleteOT.. I just got this from my sis. If true, Sarah seems safe to do anything she wants with her Pac..
ReplyDeleteJust watched last night's Steven Colbert Show....maybe you can catch it
In re-run today.....it usually re-runs the next day. Had his lawyer on...to
Explain Super Pac money. Colbert had a Super Pac this year just for fun...
And raised $ 1 million almost. Lawyer said that all he has to do is put it
In a 501 C 4 and then give it a new
Name other than Colbert Super Pac
Like it is now.....then nobody will
Know how he spends the money....and
It's legal for him to spend all of it
Any way he wants to.....even on himself.
That's no doubt what Sarah is doing.
Steven said. 'What a great way to get
Money.' and then he laughed. He had
More $ but gave some to Herman
Cain for ads.....as he thinks Cain
Is good for humor.
Remember Christine O'Donnell paid her rent, food, gas, etc. out of her pac and got in trouble. Now Jesse Jackson in trouble for using his money to remodel his house. John Edwards paying his mistress out of his money.
Deletepalin is who came to mind when Colbert did that bit last night. she's like newt, pretend to be thinking about running or run for an office you'll never be elected to to line your pockets and make contacts so you can further your "lecture circuit" scam...
DeleteYes ! Thanks for mentioning that (I had forgotten that I saw it before bed last night...) It really pissed me off, thinking of how Scarah and clan are doing exactly what the lawyer said !!!!!!
DeleteSuper PACs are different than PACs, though, I think.
DeleteSarah probably has millions in the Caymans too...
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of public servant who gets under people’s craws. He was drunk with power or made to make the statement by a superior or he was simply a Palin syncophant . As a man of the cloth it makes me even sicker to see he lied to the public. I think it was outrageous he wasn’t taken to task and lost his job. I am appalled at the utter lack of accountability by the Anchorage police. Nothing like projecting trust to the general public. (Snark in full plumage.)
ReplyDeleteParker better watch his six. I bet there are some who would do whatever to stop him from testifying. Water in his airplane fuel? A mysterious house fire? A hunting accident?
ReplyDeleteThe Palins must be getting a little nervous.
There is outrageous corruption in the tiny state of Alaska. I hope the people can one day get their state back.

Mr. Shirtless FBI agent is reminding me of Palin's Van Flein and Anchorage FBI's Eric Gonzalez. Normally the FBI does not make these statements on a Sunday. May be when it is a "friend", special or a business acquaintance.
“We are not investigating her," FBI spokesman Eric Gonzalez said Sunday. "Normally we don't confirm or deny those kinds of allegations out there, but by not doing so it just casts her in a very bad light. There is just no truth to those rumors out there in the blogosphere."

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s attorney, Thomas Van Flein, issued a four-page warning to mainstream news organizations over the weekend that he will sue on behalf of his client if “defamatory material” relating to her or her family finds its way from Internet blogs to print.

December 19, 2008. The Anchorage Daily News carried a statement from Gov. Palin's spokesman, Bill McAllister: "This is not a state government matter. Therefore the governor's communications staff will not be providing comment or scheduling interview opportunities."

(STATE) Troopers charged Johnston with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance -- generally manufacturing or delivering drugs -- as well as fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession.

Levi's mom in a drug sting. And more to the point: why would state (Federal) agents go after a woman who was apparently about to become part of Sarah Palin's extended family through marriage? Can anyone truly believe that the sting was coincidental? Or that a woman as feared as Palin would not be informed that a sting was being planned?
http://scharlottsbeacon.blogspot.com/2012/05/palins-claim-bristols-baby-tripp-was.html
Wasn't it the FBI in Alaska that was going to keep the public informed about the Wasilla Church fire?
DeleteIf the FBI in Alaska is in the pocket for scum like the Palins that will not bode well for the state. It is not a Federal Bureau, it is a Palin Bureau, PBI. They work hard at blocking investigations the Palins don't like.
That is how it works.
Yes very interesting as far as the timing goes for Parker to retire.
ReplyDeleteJust like it was interesting how fast Sarah Palin quit her job as the governor of Alaska when it was rumored that the Palins may be under investigation.
The Palins may be under investigation by the FBI in Anchorage? We know how they roll.
DeleteYou heard it here first in Immoral Minority!
ReplyDeleteI predict Dave Parker will come out with a book talking about Todd Palin's prostitution ring and make his retirement money.
How funny all these people in Alaska with some type of connection to Sarah Palin wants to write a book.
"Parker is an ordained preacher "
ReplyDeleteThat means shit to me as far as Parker trying to portray himself as an honest person.
Sarah Palin claims to be a God fearing Christian but is the meanest evil untrustworthy woman I know of.
Bristol Palin claims to be a God fearing Christian but is the second meanest evil untrustworthy person in Wasilla.
Anybody who claims to be Christian who is evil in the heart is worst than a person who is just plain evil in the heart.
The state of Alaska is currently conducting hearings into sex trafficking. When the Police Department of the largest city in Alaska appears to be so corrupt, it seems ludicrous to think that the state is actually taking the protection of women seriously....
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Malia Litman

APD spokesman, Dave Parker, quits. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteGeneral Petraeus, quits. Hmmm.
Gov Sarah Palin, quits. Hmmm.
Didn't Shailey say that the prostitution she was involved in, went on with big wigs of major corporations, FBI (we know about that) and military? Wouldn't it be grand if the Palin's are involved in this Patreaus scandal? Could these women, Broadwell and Kelley, be madam's for the brass?
DeleteI read at one site that Jill Kelley and husband are in foreclosure and bankrupt proceedings. Maybe Jill got involved because they need money and Broadwell wasn't too happy with her turf being invaded on?
Hmmm, indeed!
Just having happy thoughts about the possibilities.
They are madam's but not in the old school way. Broadwell is like "espionage"
DeleteDUMB AND DUMBER

The other one a "laision" type. I am no expert but did see some things go on during Reagan reign. That was long before internet and e-mails. One "masseuse" also posed as a consultant and met the clients wife. The old men do not all want full on penetration, hand jobs and blow jobs are fast and work just fine. Other men are fine with phone sex and internet porn is now popular.
Anybody seen Todd?
ReplyDeleteHow come Lt Dave Parker didn't notify the National Enquirer telling them he was quitting?
ReplyDeleteI thought he liked emailing them?
I'm not here to pass judgement on anybody but how come Todd Palin never addressed the story about being a pimp and using single struggling mothers as his prostitutes? Why won't he speak up for himself? People want to hear the words from his own mouth that Shailey Tripp is a liar, that Todd never pimped her out or had sex with her. What is he afraid of? Is Todd afraid of getting Shailey Tripp mad forcing her to divulge more secrets? Is it because if or when it is proven that Todd did these things that he will be able to say that he never denied it? I think everybody wants to hear it from Todd himself whether or not it is true that he is a pimp or solicited prostitutes?
ReplyDeleteTodd, where are you?
DeleteWe're waiting to hear from you.
Are you out there?
Something is wrong about this, why won't you speak up and defend yourself?
Todd made robocalls for political candidates but he won't speak for himself.
DeleteThat says a lot.
Aren't the Generals and the two women too far away to be connected with Todd and Alaska?
ReplyDeleteTodd's Craigslist partner in crime was located in Tennessee and Alabama.
