Jon Stewart rejoices at the implosion of Bullshit Mountain News.

God I could watch that all day!

P.S. By the way, for those who missed it, Jon also had the great Nate Silver on last night for the interview. It should not be missed, and you can watch it for yourself right here.

"math you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better"

Better than foisting Sarah Palin on the electorate (but not much better).

Fox "News" used to make me mad so I could not stand to watch it because of all their straight out lying and 24/7 falsifying. I have a sticker on my car "Fox News. Bad For America" and I have gotten thumbs ups while driving or just from people who ask me where I got that sticker.

But today I've surfed over to Fox on my TV and have been truly enjoying their meltdowns, shock & awe. I love watching the right wingers scratching their heads trying to figure out just what went wrong. I have a feeling it's going to take them a while.

By the way, did anyone else hear that the day after Obama won that fox decided to add Spanish sub-titling? A little too late to start pandering to Latinos if you ask me. Think they will start with the fake ala Romney spray tan to appeal to them?

Knowing Fox they'll screw that up too.

    O/T

    Romney's campaign has conceded Florida!!

    Obama Electoral Votes: 232
    Romney Electoral Votes: 206

Nate Silver's Nov 6th forecast numbers:
    Obama: 313
    Romney: 225

That's 8 out of the 9 Battleground States!!!

HUFF: "Mitt Romney’s campaign conceded on Thursday that it lost Florida, as votes continue to be tallied more than 36 hours after the election was called for President Barack Obama."

DB: "While Romney himself has yet to comment, his adviser Brett Doster told The Miami Herald “We thought, based on our polling and range of organization, that we had done what we needed to win [in Florida] ... Obviously, we didn’t.” Though ballots are still being counted, there aren’t enough votes left in Republican areas for Romney to catch up—Obama led Romney 49.9 percent to 49.3 percent, or by about 52,000 votes"

3, 2, 1 - Rove appears on Fox having another meltdown????????? I don't get Fox (yeaaa) so have no idea if he does or doesn't but after election night and his Ohio meltdown -- makes you wonder.

I think the electoral count shown above for President Obama is incorrect - he was almost beating Romney last night in the final count (except for Florida) by near 100 pts., so the number should be 300+.

Someone more creative than I am, will hopefully have noticed the same thing I did: that Karl Rove got that same look on his face, that the guy from "The Sting" got, when it finally hit him that he'd been had by Newman and Redford.

...and set up a side by side photo of that facial moment of horror, they both had.

In my opinion, it shows NOT merely simple surprise, but shock at the realization that the fix that was in, did not pan out.

I'm not a psychologist or anything, but I do feel this observation is elementary enough that ANYONE should be able to detect it.

Oh Nate picked Obama to win florida. look it up. Nate hit every state and dc, every senate race except the razor thin (3 thousand votes) ND race. Which the D won.

I bought his book today, as a lot of people did - sales up 850%. It is now #2 on the "actual best seller" list (not the coveted "ghostwritten memoirs by siblings and/or parents of VP nominees from alaska who quit their job after losing by ten million votes" category)

Nit pickers gotta pick nits just like grifters gonna grift. It's like a Scientific Theory, like gravity and coefficients of friction and stuff like that that aren't in the Bible but are still pretty important stuff.

    SHOULD BE:

    Obama Electoral Votes: 332
    Romney Electoral Votes: 206

The Correct number of Obama Electoral Votes is 332. Total EV available = 538. Hence, the name of Nate Silver's political blog at NYT is "538".
    **************************************************

I can't remember who said this, maybe Jon Stewart, about Nate Silver's column that "Nate Silver's 538 Blog Column at NYT is like a timely oasis located in the middle of a harsh desert of ignorance."

I'm sure I butchered the quote, too, but you get the gist. Nate's work and that of his colleague Sam Wang at Princeton Election Consortium helped keep me centered during all of the fake hype and "Shuck and Jive" propaganda that were rolled out as talking points to by the entire Repug Echo Chamber, purporting Romney surges---"RoMentum"--- and Obama gaffes and problems with the electorate, whereby R&R purportedly having a high probability for a decisive win, possibly by landslide margins. It was ALL a crock of shit, and statistically, Mitt never got higher than a 3:2 underdog during his BEST polling moments of the campaign, and he was NEVER in the lead, other than in the fantasy BS narratives reported by RW talking heads that were derived from verifiable statistically biased data that was used as a tool to misinform the low-info voters.

Holy shit that's exactly what my doctor told me Wednesday morning. That we've now become a socialistic country because everyone wants the government to give them stuff. That everyone wants a handout. That people are greedy and no one wants to work and they think the government is just going to give them everything. That when his house on the shore was damaged, he's going to pay for the repairs out of his pocket, he doesn't expect the insurance, or the government, to pay for it, it's his, and he's going to pay for it, no one else. He doesn't want social security, he doesn't to pay into it, but when he retires, he's going to get every damned dime. And he says he's going to divorce his wife, because even though in the eyes of his church he'll still be married, so no bad there, he and his wife will be able to collect the full amount of social security (wtf does this even mean??) so he won't be cheated out of any of it he paid into it. And this guy is a doctor. It's la la land I tell you!

    They really believe this stuff!

Is he a good doctor? Because I would seriously consider giving my business (and yes, in a private healthcare system you do have a choice)--elsewhere.

He's a great doctor, and unlike the republicans, I'm able to separate my political thoughts from my business and personal thoughts. Without this doctor, I wouldn't have the great son I have. So I won't change doctors. I tease him about the election, he teases me back. But. He's very serious about believing this stuff. And his one vote only counts for one vote, and I make sure my son and I counter his vote with ours.
