Authors of "Game Change" prepare for sequel, as actors in HBO movie based on their book receive awards.

Courtesy of TV Newser:

The authors of the book Game Change are working on a follow-up to their 2010 best-seller called Double Down: Game Change 2012. HBO, which aired a made-for-TV movie based on the first book, has already optioned the sequel for a movie.

John Heileman and Mark Halperin will release Double Down: Game Change 2012 in Fall 2013. It will, not surprisingly, focus on the 2012 Presidential campaign between President Obama and Mitt Romney.

Okay I don't know about all of you, but I am going to watch the HELL out of this!

Even though we JUST finished celebrating Obama's victory and are now focusing on the life outside of politics, I am still quite fascinated with the behind the scenes stories of what happened in this last election cycle.

After all I thought there would not be much that I would find surprising about Sarah Palin in the original Game Change and boy was I wrong!

Speaking of the original book and the HBO movie based on it, there are apparently some more accolades coming to the actors that gave those riveting performances.

Courtesy of Politico:

Just one day after news of their next “Game Change” book, more good news for the book’s authors: The HBO movie based on their book, “Game Change,” picked up three nominations from the Screen Actor’s Guild, which were announced Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Woody Harrelson was nominated for “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries” (he portrayed McCain strategist Steve Schmidt). Ed Harris was nominated in the same category for his portrayal of Sen. John McCain. Julianne Moore was nominated for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries” (she portrayed Palin).

(Insert obligatory Wasilla refrigerator reference here.)

Is today a great day to be covering politics and the Palin family or what?

You can bet that Sarah Palin isn't going to be happy about Julianne Moore being up for another award in her portrayal of her! Love it, love it!

Remember what Julianne said when she won the Oscar? Her first statement was that Sarah told her she couldn't do it. So, that leaves me to suspect that stupid Palin must have gotten in contact w/her in some manner - or left her some kind of a message. How neat to see the bitch proven wrong!

Ed Harris and Woody were outstanding in their roles too.

Idiot Sarah Palin who was also shown (in "Game Change") to come unglued ever so easily, to be lazy, to cop attitudes, be uninterested in learning and to be a liar and fraud. More and more will eventually come out about her and it's going to be so much fun to watch.

You go Julianne, Ed and Woody!!! Proud of you in playing your roles so splendidly. You are ALL winners!

Julianne Moore WON the Emmy for her portrayal of Sarah Palin, giving a hellava good speech in the process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5l4svckxkA

"I feel so validated because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down," she said when accepting her Emmy.

Sarah, the great job creator, is going to be demanding a cut to pay for her kids braces (translation: nose jobs) and a SAG card.

I wish wish wish WISH this sequel would refer to the Palin Pregnancy Hoax and its still-covered-up state, as a 2008 example of the GOP dirty tricks used in the 2012 election, like voter suppression and whatever it was that Ailes was doing to tamper with election results to deliver the 300+ electoral votes for Romney that he promised.

The fact that Palin/McCain/Schmidt et al. have so far gotten away with this hoax must surely have encouraged the shenanigans of 2012.

It's all part of a pattern. Including the MSM boycott of the hoax. Because the hoax is apparently common knowledge among elite reporters (per the Hitchens quote; see Brad Scharlott's Sept 8 post; the first paragraph has the Hitchens quote).

So it really should be acknowledged. Oh please.

Mr G -- as the owner of a pioneering blog on this very subject, I sure hope you will contact those writers.

Relying on my keen "Copy and Pasting" skills, I'll post the relevant quote here for your perusal:

"While living in Washington, DC, in February 2010, the now-deceased British intellectual Christopher Hitchens wrote in The Spectator: “An astonishing number of well-informed people tell me that Sarah Palin is not in fact the mother of baby Trig, but that she is ‘covering up’ for another family member whose child he really is.” It took an Englishman writing in a British newspaper to openly say what many knowledgeable Americans have shared on the sly but never publicly: that Sarah Palin faked the birth of Trig, her purported fifth biological child."

If you have only seen the movie and not read the book, I highly recommend that you get the book and read it. It's about much more than just the Palin story and it's fascinating. Of course, I particularly enjoyed the Palin portion, but that's probably only about 20 percent of the total book. The rest of the book is the story of Obama getting the nomination over Hillary and McCain getting the nomination. And I can hardly wait for the next installment!

The Wasilla Palins have been at IM all day. Are they nervous about being EXPOSED for the GRIFTERS, PIMPS, and LIARS that they all have been for years? Hey Todd, how's that PIMPING working out for 'YA'? Hey Bristol, are you taking your DWTS BABY back from Britta? Hey Willow, who did you give your BABY to? Hey Track, did you get tired of Faking a Marriage to hide Bristol's DWTS BABY? Hey Sarah, MATMAID, TAXES, ARSON, SEX TRAFFICKING, and MURDER INVESTIGATIONS make you NERVOUS? Pay your Lawyers, you need them. BWHAHAHAHAHA.

Not sure if I'll like the second book. I didn't like the authors on Morning Joe. They seemed like a part of a good ol' boys network with Joe and bashed and ridiculed Pres Obama at times.
