DeleteI saw the original interview on Greta's show. Even without editing, it was quite a let-down.
ReplyDeleteGreta had an interesting program when she focused on crime stories. As an attorney, she could share penetrating legal insights with viewers.
When she switched to politics, she was out of her depth. Her husband had been a Hillary supporter before she lost the Presidential nomination. For some reason, the Scientology power couple then hitched their wagon to Palin's star. I wonder if they regret that?
With his weak appearance and "aw shucks" simpleton manner, Todd was unimpressive, and Greta's simpering was embarrassing to watch. And of course Sarah revealed her ignorance every time she opened her mouth. When Greta chastised those who said Sarah was unqualified for VP by pointing out that she personally knew Sarah and that "she's really smart," that's when I knew Greta was lost.
That's also about the time I discovered IM and other blogs which dished the real dirt about Sarah. Talk about eye-openers! Its' fun to watch the occasional humorous bit about the Palins, now that the threat of Sarah in a position of power has been eliminated.
I remember that, it was a Fox news exclusive! Diane Sawyer and Katie Couric went on and on for weeks and months at how unfair it was that they were "shut out"!!!!

The tipping point for me, was the night McCain announced Sarah's name. I didn't know who she was, and bookmarked a bunch of stories,only to go back later and find them scrubbed. Someone mentioned Audrey and Regina's site... I found many of the links that were missing, the Alaska Bloggers had saved and/or had first hand knowledge.
I too came to IM when I was trying to find out just WHO that woman was that McCain selected to be a heartbeat away from becoming POTUS. I now am a daily reader of IM and so grateful that Gryph has kept this blog open. Thanks Gryph! Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteAs an Alaskan I found the entire "First Dude" nomenclature to be well below the standards and decorum that should be employed when referring to the spouse of a Governor, the leader of a state, an esteemed title and position that should be treated with respect and taken seriously. It is behavior such as this by the Palin family that made a mockery of the office and the title, that and her utter stupidity and lack of qualifications for said office.

It should be noted that Wally Hickel orginally supported Palin when she ran for quitter gov, but he soon grew to dislike her and not speak well of her!

After reading some of the responses here from the "trolls' it seems someone is batting for Todd. Someone is standing up for him cause he comes across as a mealy mouth clod in that video. It could be his family, Sarah or even Todd himself. The responses are as pathetic as the interview.

have to give Tawd some credit for babysitting little Trigg while the nannies are gone. You would think that Sarah isn't his mother--she brings him out when the cameras are present otherwise he is just something to earn her brownie points from other parents of special needs children. Rather insulting that she insists that Tawd by called the First Dude--she acts like that is what all Alaskans do when the truth is that they snicker about it and then call him Toad or Tawdry Tomcat or or the First Dud. Surprised she didn't ask all her fans to call him the Hunk--there is no warmth or affection between him and he has her permission to have affairs as long as he is discreet and doesn't tarnish her image. Sad that $arah thinks she could manage running the country when she couldn't handle the State of Alaska or her own children. Nobody is even trying to give her any awards for Mother of the Year.
