Video of President Obama getting his Tweet on.

As you guys may remember the President took to Twitter on Monday to take advantage of the new social media to talk directly to the American people.

Here is behind the scenes video of that event.

One thing I learned, the President is a better typist than I am.

You know I really respect the fact that the President is so willing to come to where the people are and to engage in interactions that may be out of his comfort zone, and not look a little clumsy while doing it. Just makes him more human and accessible in my opinion.

However I have to say that as cool as having the President tweet at you, I still think it pales in comparison to when Obama went to Reddit and did an AMA (Ask Me Anything) over at Reddit.

I truly do think that earned him huge points with the youth in this country. And undoubtedly inspired more than a few to vote for him as well.

In fact they are STILL talking about it over at Reddit to this day.

Twitter and Reddit, definitely not anything you would see a Mitt Romney doing... President Obama is brilliant, engaging the youth, and even the children, and.. the babies.

I saw this posted, gave me a chuckle:
My wish list: 8 years of President Hillary; 8 years of President Michelle; then 8 years each for Presidents Chelsea, Sasha and Malia. ~ Andy Borowitz

I'd rather have an eloquent, thoughtful, compassionate "community organizer" as my WONDERFUL President than Walnuts or Snidely Whiplash!

Still celebrating with all IMers! Once again, "God had the right person win."

    Snort another line, Wasilla Dingbat!

    "That's what I'm talkin' about!"

Barack Obama is cool. He stays in touch with the pulse of this country, the youth. He listens, he responds. He doesn't talk down to people, no matter what their age, their political leanings, their race or their gender. He respects other cultures and customs that are precious to people around the world, and in this country. He is respectful and gracious in whatever he does and says. I'm deeply grateful for his maturity and his level headedness. There's no question he will go down in history as one of the most influencial and significant people of the 20/21st Century.

P.S. He's also so fucking HOT!

Obama's Approval Rating Soars To Its Highest Point In Three Years In A New Poll

President Barack Obama's approval rating reached its highest point in more than three years in a new Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday, part of a sweeping post-election bump for the newly re-elected president.

The poll, which also contained some revealing measures relating to the fiscal cliff, found that Obama's 53 percent approval rating is at its highest point since it hit 57 percent on July 2, 2009. Only 40 percent disapprove, the lowest since the aftermath of the killing of Osama bin Laden in May 2011.

"Nothing like winning an election to boost your job approval. President Barack Obama hasn't had a score this good since his 52-40 percent approval rating May 5, 2011, right after the death of Osama bin Laden," said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, in a statement.

It's part of an overall robust bump for the president since winning re-election early last month. In Gallup's daily tracking poll, Obama's approval rating has soared to highs of 53 percent, as well. In Rasmussen, it's even higher — it has sat at 56 percent for three of the past four days.

Obama's improved approval rating goes along with the vast majority of people that favor a key element of his plan to avert the fiscal cliff. By a wide 65-31 margin, voters said they favored raising taxes on incomes above $250,000.

White House: Obama "Unequivocal"—No Fiscal Cliff Deal Without Debt Ceiling Agreement

Most of the media coverage of the Obama-Boehner negotiations has focused on taxes, but the fight over raising the debt ceiling may be the ultimate game of chicken.

I love when he stopped and answered that third tweet.
He's definitely "Commander in Chief". That "Business Roundtable" idea was brilliant! He's working around the obstruction and connecting with the people he needs on his side.
