A little beauty provided by our friend Dennis Zaki.

Dennis has been working with a seafood company out in Dutch Harbor and during his down time took some simply amazing photographs which he suggested all of you might like to see.

Wait until you see these!

Funny thing, the crab boat has trawl doors. Otherwise the pics are great.

    1. That's my fault. I just assumed it was a crab boat.

      My bad.

Cool photos, except the "crab boat" is a dragger/trawler.

It's not a crab boat, it's a trawler, most likely after pollack. Which brings us around to the right wing politics that brought us things like IFQs and CDQs and Federal management that's all about money for the big guys and crumbs for the little guys.

Don't forget, Ben Stevens should be in jail for his dealings in Adak.

No, it's a beautiful place where those right wing politicians have had an amazing life then and now, as most residents there who actually live away from a computer.

Fantastic Dennis! Thanks for sharing these photos Gryph, almost as beautiful as Vancouver Island. ;-)
Just kidding, these photos cannot be seen anywhere other than Alaska. Minus the eagles of course. :-)

King crab are far more prehistoric looking than our dungeness crab. We've bought and tried them but the dungeness crab are sweeter tasting compared to the king crab. And the opilia's are kind of a waste of time. Not much meat in their legs.
