Seriously New York Post? Seriously?

You know what, fuck em!

They can spin that testimony any which way they want, ultimately anybody who watched it without a pronounced partisan bias is going to see a a bunch of insignificant unmemorable political nobodies being schooled by an intelligent highly respected stateswoman.

You now I have watched the footage a few times and I am not even certain exactly how they managed to get this shot, though I assume it was during this portion here. (Go ahead and watch and tell me if looks like Hillary "exploded" to you.)

P.S. You might also remember that Rupert Murdoch's New York Post was also responsible for this cartoon:

Not exactly a place where intelligent people go for even handed reporting.

John Kerry took Senator Ron Johnson to School today. If Senator Johnson wants to question the Benghazi attack, he should have attended the Intelligence Briefing. Johnson got his ass kicked 2 days straight.

Hell yeah! I watched yesterday's questioning. Hilary was superb...she did kick some ass, but never once displayed anything near as the picture from the ny rag shows. Shame on you, Post.

What pisses me off is these rags and Fox are the only thing a lot of stupid people see because they are scared of the "liberal media", so they never see how it really was. They just get the altered version of it and that is what they believe.

This rag paper is owned by Rupert Murdoch so take it from where it comes. Their most outrageous headline was HEADLESS BODY FOUND IN TOPLESS BAR.

  3. That was a completely bullshit picture. I watched the entire thing again with the sound off so I could focus on her body language, facial expressions and hands. Nothing. Not even close. Those don't even look like her hands. That picture looks like something you'd see on the cover page of an "Aliens ate my baby," trashy rag.

And this is exactly how our gutter press would handle a presidential campaign by Hillary Clinton or any other Democratic female candidate. Good grief! Will they never grow up!

No, really, I have read similar comments about the Clintons. Women just don't know their places anymore, dontcha know.

Malia Litman's report on her blog (as highlighted here on an earlier thread) may be confirmed by Fox's own list of On Air Personalities. While Karl Rove is listed(under R-Z), and contributer Mike Huckabee is listed (under H-L) and even contributor Dana Perino is listed but Ms. Palin's name is absent under M-Q http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/personalities/#s=m-q

Largest Outdoor Gun Show In Pennsylvania Postponed

The largest outdoor gun show in Pennsylvania has been postponed following a week of protests against Reed Exibitions, the organization that runs the show, because of their decision to ban the display of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, the Patriot-News reports.

"It is unfortunate that in the current emotionally charged atmosphere this celebratory event has become overshadowed by a decision that directly affected a small percentage of more than 1,000 exhibits showcasing products and services for those interested in hunting and fishing," reads a statement from Reed Exibitions.

The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show was expected to bring in $44 million in travel and supplies to the area, according to the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau.

I happened to be chaperoning a group of high school students travelling in Kiev when Chernobyl exploded. We made arrangements to get our group out of the country early via Finland, and some members of the US media met us there. One of the reporters brought a copy of the NY Post with the headline "20 Thousand Dead in Kiev!" Apparently, there were dead bodies littering the streets that we somehow must have missed!

I never had much respect for that rag before that experience, but now find it only good for soaking up puddles in my basement when my sewer lines back up!

What a rag of a daily. That gossip "$arah's got nuthin on me in the hubris dept" Cindy Adams hates that President Obama got re-elected and disparages him on a regular basis just because she can. What a despicable human being. Who the heck is she?

  9. I live in NY and find that most NYers consider The Post to be the local equivalent of The National Enquirer. It hasn't been a serious newspaper since it was bought by Rupert Murdoch, who introduced the tabloid style of journalism common in his other papers. The Post was once respected for its journalistic integrity and columns by Eleanor Roosevelt, Eric Sevareid, Murray Kempton, Pete Hamill and Earl Wilson, but is now considered a complete joke.

As a fellow NYer, I agree The Post is laughable. It belongs in the supermarket check out lines.

  10. Everything associated with Murdoch is cheap and outrageous. The Wall Street Journal was the leading authority for straight-forward business news for over 100 years. Sure, it had its editorial pages which offered opinions that one might or might not agree with. But facts were facts, and news and opinion were well-delineated.

But all of that changed drastically when Murdoch bought the paper from the Bancroft family about five years ago. Now, it has good days and bad days, and too often the bias and editorial bleeds into the news coverage that it is no longer a trusted source like it once was. Think "Fox News" in print.

The biggest contrast between where it was versus where it is today is in the online comments to stories not behind the paywall. A third of those commenters must bounce between the Daily Caller and The Blaze, and the Journal drops the level of discourse to appeal to them. This is exactly what was feared when Murdoch made overtures to buy WSJ, and he promised to be hands-off. He obviously lied.

My father is the head of the treasury and VP of the NYC branch of an Austrian bank, and he hates the direction the WSJ has taken after Murdoch has gotten his hands on it. Although his colleagues are mostly RWNJs, he is from the flower power generation, but studied and worked hard for his two masters degrees.

He used to read the WSJ for the business and finance news and articles, now the paper is dripping with rightwing bias he can't barely tolerate it anymore.

The paranoia enveloping the right is shown everywhere, these folks don't impress, they fear the crush of luddites taking their jobs. It won't be the spiteful but the american consensus, i.e. Potus, we have spoken and the ignorance will be corrected.

Hillary was justified in her anger. The idiot kept asking her to get inside the mindset of the terrorists and her response was quite appropriate...I watched the whole thing.

The New York Post is a rag-

What do you expect from a newspaper that hires "Ess Eee See U Pee Pee", and has a "T and A" page for those who read with one hand, real news?

This wasn't taken at the hearings. Hillary had a completely different outfit on at the hearings. I watched the entire several hours' worth, and she never exploded like this. My favorite part was when she calmly reminded Rand Paul that she was the Secretary of State (in explaining a part of the report on Benghazi.) Didn't hear a peep out of him after that. But truly, I came away from those hearings with even more respect for Hillary, and even more of a hope that she runs in 2016.
