Just in case you missed it here is MSNBC's Luke Russert trying to get a coherent interview out of Ted "Poopy-pants" Nugent after the SOTU speech last night.

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Courtesy of MSNBC:

When asked what it was like sitting in the chamber alongside victims of gun violence, Nugent launched into a confusing rant about “engineered recidivism” and the mental health system.

“Our mental health system has failed so thoroughly that people who have threatened lives and conduct themselves in dangerous abhorrent behavior,” he said. “And have been alerted, the officials have been alerted by co-workers, fellow students, mothers and fathers of these mass murderers.”

He took on the president too, criticizing his “predicable, flowery, feel good, save the children, end world hunger insanity.”

“And then I see him either do nothing, or do the opposite,” he said. “I feel horrible that we’re going after my guns, instead of stopping crime and dangerous behavior.”

When challenged by NBC news reporter Luke Russert over comments he made last year, comparing Democrats like Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton to coyotes who deserve to be shot, Nugent became agitated, cursing at Russert and calling him a liar in vulgar terms.

And THIS is the sorry excuse for a human being that  Rep. Stockman believed was an appropriate choice to bring to the Sate of the Union address? I think that says about all we need to know about Steve Stockman.

By the way my admiration for Luke Russert just went through the roof. He did a great job of trying to get something reasonable out of this bullshit spewing ass clown.

Perfect spokesman for the NRA however. They should definitely keep him in the forefront.

  1. Too bad the asshat didn't have that much respect for the military when he had his chance to serve. And how can he be going on law enforcement raids (OK, he lives in Texas so maybe that explains it) when his knees are so bad he can't stand up for our military when the rest of the Chamber did. Luke doesn't have shit for brains, but Ted Nugent sure does.

Sad thing is that Sh*t The Bed Ted was given the opportunity to be interviewed. So many more worthy people that cannot be heard.

Theodore is correct. Our mental health facilities have indeed failed us---he's still walking around instead of being heavily medicated in a secure lockdown facility.

All well and good, but hopefully with a few more years of experience he would not even waste his time on the cretinous Nugent.

Seriously, look at what he has said and done over the years and especially in the last few, Luke. Then ask yourself if there is any journalistic contribution that can be made to the national conversation by interviewing Nugent as opposed to say, Honey Boo Boo.

I agree...why did Luke conduct this interview? With the wide assortment of outstanding individuals in that chamber, this was the person whom he thought was worth his time? I think he saw it as a chance to make himself look good. period.

Sorry, but I think this young man has ridden on his father's coat tails long enough. He needs to go back down the ranks and earn his way to the big show.

His nasty remarks to Nancy Pelosi several months ago made me despise him and this interview does nothing to change my mind.

"Then ask yourself if there is any journalistic contribution that can be made to the national conversation by interviewing Nugent as opposed to say, Honey Boo Boo." There was plenty of journalistic contribution in asking this question. First, it pointed out what an idiot Nugent is. Second, it pointed out the ignorance of people like him who support not having any restrictions on guns. And last, he showed his total lack of respect toward the victim's of gun violence.

Honestly, I think he did us a favour. We really NEED to keep the GOP's crazy in the spotlight. We can't let people forget what these asshats are and what they advocate.

And this was definitely a good case of shining the light on some bullshit.

Interviews with these idiots that don't coddle them, that just let them run their mouths and show the world who they are of their own volition, are a good thing.

Nugent is a case of the outhouse calling the toilet stinky. Basically, he described himself. And wow was the insane anger simmering in him; you know he just wanted to haul off on Russert, but the cameras were there and instead he kept laughing that crazy laugh.

Iowa Anti-Choicers Admit They Want to Imprison Women for Abortion

Now Iowa Republicans are flexing their muscles, trying to show that they hate the ladies even more than the forced-transvaginal-ultrasound folks in Michigan, Texas, and Virginia, or the women-can’t-think-on-weekends-and-holidays nuts in South Dakota.

Nine state representatives in Iowa have introduced a bill that would define killing a fertilized egg as “murder”.

See? You don't have to parody right-wing conservatism.
Any attempt to lampoon the likes of Ted Nugent or Sarah "Punchline" Palin or any of their ilk, will pale in comparison to the original.

The best offense to today's Republicans is:
    just let them talk.

WHOA, creepy Ted sounds JUST like Sarah when she spews her bullshit.
He looks and sounds like he's copying her style of speaking, exactly. Even the wide eyed "trying to look incredulous" stare.
    Anyone else hear/see it?

    3. Agree they are so similar in so many ugly ways but, hands down, he wins the "trying to look incredulous" stare honors. He does it whenever he is asked the most simple question, or the most 'hard-hitting' while she just bats her fake eyelashes and licks her lips.

Cowards are like that, no good answer --- wellll, just talk louder. Wave your arms around, change the subject. Then stomp off and complain you were attacked, misquoted or feared for your safety. Ends the pesky polite discussions every time.

Nugget's core inadequacies kick in when he knows his answer will make no sense to rational and sane people so he pulls his act of false bravado to impress his legion of follower.

Both of them learned at the knee of their fearsome leader Limpbaugh. They live that old saw, "if you can't dazzle them with brilliance; baffle them with b-s".

I wonder which political party's adherents systematically destroyed the mental heath care services and facilities in this country. And which political party is responsible for cutting funding for the very health care coverage that this pants shitting draft dodger thinks we need.

Nugent is so far out of the thinking of the vast majority of American's, he is one person I would like to see pass a mental evaluation before being allow him to own firearms. He seems to have an unhealthy infatuation of guns as if he never grew out of his childhood fantasy of guns. Looking at his past history and his comments relating to guns, I'd feel a whole lot safer if I knew for sure he was mentally balanced. Also, lets not forget who shut down most of the mental institutions we use to have, Reagan, a Republican. I very seldom hear that fact mentioned, But, I remember Reagan supporting and pushing for fatal cuts to our mental institutions moving the worse into jails, and the other to the streets. This is something the Republican's should be proud of, especially now that they want to cut benefits in Social Security. The only reason Social Security is in trouble is because of all the money the government has borrowed from the Social Security trust fund which they promise to pay it back. None of the politicians, Republican's or Democrat's want to admit that, but it's true. Since Social Security loans is a good portion of our National Debt, the Republicans see that as an easy way to cut our National Debt. It just makes me angry how the Republican's are lying by omission to the American people. But then again, I haven't heard of any Democrat's correcting what the Republican's have failed to tell American people.

That was certainly a pointed and brave question to ask this mentally challenge individual. I'm surprised Nugent wasn't smart enough to simply walk away instead of making an a$$ of himself.

  18. "Aftet asking if he was on the 'Punk'd TV show during his interview with Russert, Nugent said that he had actually shit his pants in order to get out of this interview."

Watch for Sarah to use this excuse if she's ever asked to answer an impromptu question.

"Sorry, Katy. I thought I had a fart backed up, but I just shit myself. So if you'll excuse me, I'll think about your question about what I read, and I'll get back to ya."

I think his obsession with fecal matter pretty much qualifies for mental illness. I hope Luke ran to the nearest hospital and decontaminated his face, lord knows where Nuge's hands have been!

This is what he said last year at an NRA klan meeting
