Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss are interviewed about their upcoming film "The Unbelievers."

Two heroes of mine, doing incredibly important work while courageously enduring a never ending onslaught of threats from those claiming to embrace peaceful religions.

I am going to watch the hell out of this movie.

Why is it not controversial when religions put out media disclaiming science with no proof?
All science does is explain the world around us and is based on facts proven/disproved through analysis.

People should ask themselves the real reason why religions would attack science, could it be they are afraid they will lose power.....

You answered your own question in the last half of your last sentence.

Oh. And a little nit-picking. I hope you don't mind.

"...on facts proven/disproved through analysis." If something in science is disproved, it isn't used as a fact. Drop the '/disproved' and you are perfectly correct. Sorry to be so picky.

I like to think that God created scientists and science so we can understand the world. The people who want to live in the Old testament should just join up with the Citadel folks in Idaho and enjoy their gated life free from taxes and with every teen armed. They may want to check how the ruling class there plans to have safe water and electricity with no taxes, however. And remember, God never said "Thou shalt be armed!"

I like what Neil Degrasse Tyson says about intelligent design, in essence--Why was the playground built right over the sewage treatment plant?

Did I miss something? "Just from this conversation, I can tell what a heated debate there will be about this film". They both made rational statements of fact about"The Golden Rule", and were respectful of religion when saying there's good and bad in believers and non believers. And Religion doesn't necessarily help this discussion.
They were spot on about Radicalization, and that term doesn't just apply to Islam, but CNN can't showcase "Jesus Camp" along with radical Islam, it's always "Them" who are "bad".

I can't wait to see this documentary.

BECAUSE they made a great deal of sense, they are a danger to those in religious power - even those who just USE religion as a foundation for their power.

And all of us who are non-beleivers - such as Dawkins and Krauss who happen to be at the head of the front lines - are also a threat since those same people have no hold over us and they cannot "control" us.

It DOESN'T MATTER that what we say and believe is RIGHT! WE are different. To quote The Doors: "People are Strange, when you're a Stranger"....

Mankind has ALWAYS hated and/or feared that which is different and goes to great lengths to destroy "different".
