Palin starts out congratulating Willow for sticking it out for an entire year and "graduating" from "hair school."
Then she launches into this revisionist history of Willow's academic career before she was trundled her off to Arizona to focus on tackling the reams of research and late night studying required to learn how to properly add highlights and wax old lady's eyebrows.
Here is her advice to the youth of this country, straight from her ghostwritten Facebook page:
It’s crucially important today for young people to think about the big picture when making education decisions. And the big picture is the goal of self-reliant business opportunities based on work ethic and not entitlements. One of the reasons I aggressively encouraged vocational training opportunities as governor of Alaska is because they lead to good paying jobs and happy careers. Young people should not be pressured into assuming that a college degree is the only path to employment today. It’s not. Some college degrees obviously lead to clear professions, like those in the medical and engineering fields, but that’s not the case with many of the liberal arts degrees young people today gravitate toward either because they aren’t sure what they want to do after college or because they’ve been led to believe that college life is a sort of rite of passage for any career. That might have been the case once, but the salary and career opportunities a liberal arts education alone can get you have been dramatically limited these days. It’s so sad to see young people holding expensive college diplomas that come with no practical job opportunities.
Great advice don't you think?
"Hay kids DON'T spend years working hard to achieve your dreams while attending one of those challenging universities! Instead give up and go to hair school. After all what do we really need more of in this country, scientists and educators, or somebody who knows how to frost your tips?
But hey, don't misunderstand! Palin is not telling you NOT to go to college, she is just saying that it is waste of time these days.
Unlike say back when this failed politician, news commentator, and parent got HER degree!
I’m not discouraging a student from getting a liberal arts degree if that is his or her dream. I am always for following your dreams. How could I be against a liberal arts education when I myself got a liberal arts degree in journalism/communications from the University of Idaho?
Yes it only took going to five different colleges for Palin to get the degree that SHE has never been able to use to start a career! And these days it will cost twenty times as much to fail at achieving YOUR dreams, so why bother?
Here is how her ghostwriter summed it up:
Follow your dreams, (If they're not TOO hard that is!) by all means. But don’t be blind to the fact that your dreams might be achieved outside of acquiring an outrageously expensive traditional college degree. Do not be lulled into thinking that good jobs grow on trees or that the government will somehow take care of you. The bottom line is – as my dad always told me – find out what you love to do, then find out how to make a living doing it. (And if you can't do that, get somebody to do the actual work and just take credit for it!) Learning a trade can do both. No one can take those vo-tech real life skills away from you. They lead to independence, satisfaction, and a paycheck. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Yeah because if you waste all of that time in school you still might end up being such a loser, that even though you supposedly have a degree in communication, you STILL have to pay somebody to write your Facebook and Twitter posts. And you certainly don't want to grow up to be THAT pathetic now do you kids?
This just gets sadder and dumber. So much for the Ivy Leauge speeches in the future I guess. Actually, either one of 'em is a sure fire Hasty Pudding winner!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this! My comment fits better here!
ReplyDeleteOmg the skank has a new fb post congratulating willow AND of course:
Getting a dig in at msnbc journalists(how does she know so much about their family income/college years/background?)
Slam at the president
Proof again she reads IM since she "explains" why it took FIVE years to get a college ahem diploma
Lambasts the virtue of getting a college degree
While congratulating willow and encouraging others to pursue vocational traing she talks about less expense of it and yet-who paid for willow to study out of state and in London? I am sure willow didn't have the funds. Is she slamming msnbc journals for "backpacking"around Europe with their parent's credit card while at the same time using hers to pay for willow's beauty schooling?
Frack in skank azz bitter dried up and old news unflippingintelligent creep.
She can't even post a congratulatory post about willow and urge those who choose it to pursue vocational training without bitterly clinging to her hate!
I know everyone thinks CNN said thanks but no thanks to scarah working there but it would appear that maybe her rep tried msnbc too because she is all over them with her rotten smell.
Unflippinghinged!!! Unflippingeducated! Unflippinggracious! Unflippingintelligent! Unflippingkind! Unflippingtruthful!! Unflippingintelligent!!
Hash tags anyone?
#Unflippinghinged is appropriate.
DeleteYes it is and yes scarah is!!!!!!
DeleteGot to hand it to $carah. She never attended hair school but she is an expert at "frosting tips"!! Every time she posts more drivel, she frosts my tips!
DeleteFlipping unhinged is more appropriate.
DeleteSo, Sarah's father told her to quit things halfway and grift?
ReplyDeleteBingo
DeleteThat seems to be the gist of what she is saying. That along with being a very unpleasant person in the process.
Delete#GetAGripPalin
On the Sarah's facebook page they have a picture of Willow and friends on the Today Show set. Does anyone know why she was on the Today show? Or has it aired?
ReplyDeleteInstead of her hair school class going to the zoo for a class field trip they went to a tv studio. That's all.
DeleteYeah, kids, go to Hair School and if it does not work out, Todd Palin has a job for you. After all, Sarah's daughters are professionals when it comes to Sex. Even if they don't 'charge' FOR IT. Sarah left out the facts about Willow having a baby which forced her to Drop Out of High School.
ReplyDelete"even if they doin't charge for it"? Check poor Levi, he paid for his mistakes with Bristol over and over. Cross one of these low morals kids of Palins and they will make your life miserable.
DeleteSarah just because your children are scholasticly challenged doesn't mean you should discourage other children.
ReplyDeleteSo who the hell asked her? She's under the mistaken impression that anyone gives a damn about her opinion. What a loser.
ReplyDeleteWhy was Willow home schooled as a Sophomore in high school and never went back?
ReplyDeleteP R E G N A N T
DeleteWillow where is your Baby? We saw your Pregnant body during the Book Signing.
DeleteThe baby was "whited out" or disappeared like sarah's, Ruffles, Menard, miller and the church adoption records.
DeleteRIP
Hair school tip
ReplyDeleteIf you have a wide face and body and want to look slimmer, cover your face with your hair and never look directly at the camera. Turning your face and body gives your picture a slimming optical effect.
And follow family tradition, and get that nose sculpted to resemble a "tiny Hollywood starlet", like Ashley Judd....
DeleteFirst of all, I have a hard time believing that Palin graduated from a college. She faked a pregnancy, road races, building a new home with legally purchased materials...
ReplyDeleteIf everyone is uneducated, she will look less ignorant. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
I've never believed she graduated from college. There's no way she could jump from one college to another and have all her credits transfer. Unless she was a brilliant student and could carry more than a full load of classes successfully- and if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. Also, she's never quite figured out what she majored in... journalism, or communications, and now it's apparently communications/journalism- but the ONLY picture of her at her alleged graduation shows a yellow tassel for a bachelor of science, which is what her sister Molly would have worn... and the picture shows blonde hair, too, just like Molly.
DeleteShe couldn't have graduated. 6 years and five schools, no way she had the requisite appropriate credits for a bachelor degree. Associate degree at bEST. Also, I called UI and asked what color the tassel should have been for her degree. The one photo of "someone" purported to be SArah, has the WRONG tassel"...but the RIGHT tassel for Molly's degree.
DeleteShe is so mentally ill - she is stuckin a child developmental level. Children believe that they can get away with shit.
It was actually (and supposedly) FIVE years.
DeleteShe graduate from high school in 1982.
She says she graduated from college in the Spring of 1987.
Willow's new "look" can get her arrested in AZ.
ReplyDeleteActually, aside from a couple obviously Palin-centric comments, I can't see anything terribly wrong with that advice as something to consider when making future plans.
ReplyDeleteIf Sarah hadn't written it (and we assume she merely stuck her name on it for the most part), it probably would be perfectly acceptable to anyone reading it.
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteThe trouble is, vocational ed classes have been slashed in this country. When I graduated from high school in the 70's, our county had a vo-ed high school that taught auto skills, building, secretarial skills...not any more. I don't see craftsmen taking on kids either, to learn at a cheap rate to be a plumber or an electrician, or even an auto mechanic. So Sarah, put your money where your mouth is and start standing up for more vocational opportunities for kids not college bound. Instead of blasting people who are smart enough for college, smart enough to get scholarships and actually study and earn a degree, why not help your cause?
DeleteI know, it would take your money instead of your big mouth. And who, may I ask, sits around at 17 and thinks, "Gee, I don't know what I want to do with my life, so I;ll just sit back and let the government take care of me?" What is with the GOP? Do they know people like this? Are they nuts?
No, it wouldn't, Lynne. There is a push by TeaTHUGS and ReTHUGS to discourage and defund liberal arts programs, or reduce them to rote memorization testable by Scantron systems. (See the joke that is Western Governors University for starters.) I suspect that they see the word "Liberal" in front of arts and so of course, they are agin' it.
DeleteIn reality, those of us in academia often hear from corporate reps, how what is lacking in many STEM/vocational grads, is critical thinking and writing skills - such as those possessed by - philosophy and history majors.
Once upon a time, students went to college and completed their gen ed requirements (intro/survey courses)before they were even allowed to choose a major. That way, they could "sample" and find out what they really liked BEFORE getting halfway into a major. Historically, an EDUCATION was the liberal arts. And JOB TRAINING wasn't even considered part of a college degree.
They ARE NOT synonyms.
@6:58,
DeleteI didn't know that about voc classes. It would be nice if Sarah did anything for any cause but din't see a lot of promise in that department.
Re: the GOP, I have this working theory that they are the ones that love to take advantage of the "system" and are projecting this onto everyone else, especially the poor.
I wholly agree that they are wrongly projecting their own inclinations onto the rest of us.
DeleteWhile I'd agree with her that college isn't for everybody, and there are many challenging, necessary, and respectable trades that don't require a degree at which one can make a very good living, I'm offended by both her tone and her ignorance about what a liberal arts education has to offer someone who earnestly applies their best efforts.
My grammar, punctuation, and spelling aren't perfect, but I can craft my own coherent missives.
Classes in my chosen profession led to a good job with full benefits directly out of college, and more than a decade of running my own small business.
Classes in logic, statistics, sociology, philosophy, and science honed my ability to apply reason.
I'm surprised at how often I use what I learned in biology, chemistry, physics, and math.
As for all the rest, I like to think those classes made me a better rounded person with a wider range of interests.
I'm proud of myself for sticking it out, getting a degree in something challenging, and picking up my own tab. Too bad Palin, presented with the same opportunity, squandered it, then makes light of the efforts of others.
Why couldn't she just make positive noises about the benefits of vocational education and leave it at that? She has no class and certainly does not reflect well on her alma mater. I bet they cringe every time she mentions having graduated from there, and wonder how they could have let that happen.
8:09 p.m., my dad, a Colorado Springs Limbaugh conservative, refused to let me apply to my dream college because its materials referenced "a liberal education." I was 18 and very sheltered and didn't know any better. When I figured out later that it basically meant liberal arts, I was both angry and amused.
DeleteI ended up going to the Christian college of my dad's choice. He had no idea when he picked it how liberal it was--I met my first openly gay men and lesbians on that campus, attended PRIDE with a friend, began to support gay marriage, learned evolution, found out God doesn't vote Republican, discovered (in religion class, from my professor) that there are contradictions in the Bible, and realized there is and should be a difference between my moral feelings about abortion and other women's moral and legal right to choose.
My dad was not too happy with his decision to force me to go to school there. By the time he realized, though, it was too late--I was there at his insistence and loving it!
Dang. I wish she would have told me this before my girls got degrees in math and computer science. They could have been hairdressers, instead of systems analysts. What was I thinking?
ReplyDeleteReally now!
DeleteYou are a terrible mother lol!! :)
I'm a failure, I guess. In May I have to attend my daughter's graduation from Mayo (most exclusive medical school on the planet). This after attending her honors graduation in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins, another one of those east coast elitist universities. Later this month she weds some lawyer, also from one of those fancy colleges. What a shame since after all of that education, I'll still have to pay someone else to cut my hair. I am so embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your low functioning daughter.
DeleteNot everybody can have a child that graduates from the kind of prestigious hair ivy league academy that Willow is about to.
Don'tcha know?
congrats. Your daughter's accomplishments are a joy to read.
Delete(And, I'll be attending a graduation in the spring... a young relative getting her doctorate in computational biology. We just say she's trying to outdo (in the little known specialties dept.) the cousin with the doctorate in limnology (study of inland lakes). Both of them started with, gasp, a liberal arts degree.
I really like reading your comments.
DeleteMy Nephew is finishing his 2nd year at Mayo.
DeleteI cannot begin to tell you the shame he has rained down upon the good name of my family!
We had hoped he would choose "Hair School" also, too.
Mayo IS a special place. Prepare yourselves for disappointment.. The daughter got her 1st match at the #1 peds/EM residency in the USA with lots of others competing, but not ONE hair school in the bunch. Cmon!
DeleteCongratulations and continued good luck to your nephew.
@6:56 Computational biology. Nice! Best to both of them and you, too.
DeleteMayo?
DeleteUnflippingbeleivable!
Who names a school after a condiment?
-Sarah
@9:27
DeleteI probably work with your daughter! What year is she? Or is she coming this summer?
http://www.penroseacademy.com/academy/financial-aid/programs
ReplyDeleteTuition at Penrose academy the hair school Willer graduated from costs $19,500. For a part time one year program that's quite pricey considering it does not include room & board. You could finish a two year community college degree or certificate program for about half that here in VA.
I firmly believe not everyone is cut out for college, and vocational training can be a great alternative. I just think its funny that NOT ONE Palin child has ever stepped foot in a college class to date. Their last hope is Piperr Diaper, and from the looks of things she'll be lucky to get a GED.
Virginia Voter
holy moley! $20K for a hair cutting certificate.....
Deleteadd the fact that mommy dearest purchased an AZ home for room and board, that was quite the pricey education, that most people wouldn't pay.
DeleteMy son is an RN and it cost him less than $19,000. He got scholarships, grants and a student loan of $7000. He's an incredibly smart guy but he worked hard for those scholarships by studying. (which doesn't seem to be high on the Palin list.) I couldn't help because I had Breast Cancer and was barely making it, so he did it all by himself and took care of me, too.
DeleteEvery month, when he pays on his student loan, he has not one single regret that he has that debt.
There are people who aren't cut out for college, but Palin being Palin, couldn't just congratulate Willow. Instead, she had to insult and add snark. Really, I'll take a page from Palin and be snarky. She's crazy--and it's clearly obvious she feels she and her family are inadequate.
(I still can't get over the bare-chested picture of Chuckles Sr on her FB the other day. That's just plain weird.)
From the way Sarah Palin gushed over her daughter "sticking it out" to finish that part time, one year program, it's pretty clear Willow wouldn't be able to complete a two-year anything.
Delete"Sticking it out." That's a back handed compliment from a mother if I ever heard of one.
I get my hair cut at the cosmetology school where I live--it's inexpensive, the students love the practice (or at least that's what they tell me;), and they always do an amazing job. It's a good school and the students clearly receive excellent instruction.
DeleteI don't remember how much their tuition is, but I know they don't have fancy study-abroad programs in London or tours of the Today Show. Most of the students who have cut my hair are single moms who struggle to make ends meet and wouldn't be able to afford those kinds of trips anyway. But I'd still trust them over Willow Palin with my hair any day.
Pretty pic of Willow
ReplyDeleteI think so, too.
DeleteGood photography angel. too bad it doesn't look like Willow.
DeleteWillow is a very pretty girl and I wish the best for her. There is usually at least one in a dysfunctional family that can break away and make a normal life for themselves. I still have a little hope for Willow and Piper.
ReplyDeleteI used to think Piper would be the one to do it, but just a few months ago, I saw pictures of the 11 year old Piper wearing a cocktail dress to Dancing With the Stars. From this I concluded that Sarah's decided Piper's going to continue the proud family tradition of sluttitude.
DeletePlus, I've always gotten a gay vibe off Willow.
Willow may be bi. They left out the part about her fling with a boyfriend. She may have only graduated because Mommie could buy that for her.
DeleteCongratulations On Your Entrepreneuring, Willow Palin!
ReplyDeletehttp://wonkette.com/511439/congratulations-on-your-entrepreneuring-willow-palin#more-511439
Whoa! The comments there are hysterical!
DeleteGreat Link, Wonkette nailed Wonkeye!
WILLOW PALIN GRADUATES! WILLOW PALIN GRADUATES! Etc. Good job, Wills, we are happy at ya for graduating from what your sainted mother describes as a “hair and skin academy,” where you went on foreign exchanges (to Juarez we are guessing?) and visited “the sets of major media productions” (like Dancing With the Stars?) and did other stuff too. Also you are an “entrepreneur” with a strong work ethic, although we are not sure your mother knows what “entrepreneur” means, because to our knowledge you are not that. But it’s cool! Nobody but your mother expects you to be! You are by far the best Palin girl, as your sister — you remember her, the one who was always super nasty and bossy at you for no reason on that terrible teevee show you were on together? — is a completely useless slug.
ReplyDeleteBut your mom wrote some word salad at us, ABOUT EDUCATION, ON WHICH SHE HAS THOUGHTS, on her major media platform, Myface, and we are going to have to look at it now.
So okay, first Sarah Palin says some weird stuff trying to make Willow’s beauty school seem fancier than it probably is? There is nothing wrong with going to beauty school, it is a perfectly cromulent trade, stop being so defensive about it, Sarah Palin! None of your other children go to school AT ALL.
And then she gets going on why vocational training is awesome (it is — and if school districts didn’t consistently track students of color into vocational programs no matter their potential, maybe we would still be allowed to have vocational programs!) and why not everybody has to go to college (we agree, and are also hugely saddened that the Department of Labor’s awesome Job Corps job training program has had to suspend enrollment because of chronic underfunding from assholes like you) before spinning off into a paragraphs-long hatespeech where she class-wars all the rich bitches.
And I’m proud of the fact that I was able to pay for my degree myself and graduate debt free. See how times have changed? Back then I was able to work my way through college and pay as I went. I had to go to school part-time some semesters in order to work and intern full-time, so it took me five years instead of four to get my bachelor’s degree, for which I’ve been roundly criticized by the liberal media (but how many of those critics were shackled in debt after they perhaps gallivanted around the globe with their daddy’s credit card in their backpack before finally finishing college and snagging that gig at MSNBC?).
Dude, if you are still mad at Charlie and Katie for exposing how uncurious and uneducated you are, just READ A NEWSPAPER instead of being MAD THAT PEOPLE WENT TO COLLEGE, LIKE YOU DID ALSO. TOO.
And not to nitpick (of course to nitpick) but also the fact that you went to like nine colleges may have also had something to do with taking longer to finish, but we are not gonna pick on that because five years is fine. NOBODY CARES BUT YOU THAT YOU TOOK FIVE YEARS TO GRADUATE. Whatever. Again with the bizarre defensiveness, weird lady.
Anyway, good job working in that college debt is Nobumer’s fault. Good Facebook post. A++ would Facebook again.
"Hey kids DON'T spend years working hard to achieve your dreams. If you can't get along with your wife and child just divorce them but make sure you get the guns.
ReplyDeleteRight Sarah
"And the big picture is the goal of self-reliant business opportunities based on work ethic and not entitlements."
ReplyDeleteChallenging your intellect and exploring your talents is the big picture. And that is true every school year from grade one thru grad school. EVERY student should be developing work/management skills AT THE SAME TIME.
She lives in a bubble if she thinks the goal should be self-reliant business opportunities,, Very few people are cut out to be entrepreneurs. And her use of the word entitlements in this context is disgusting.
DeleteSelf- reliant business opportunities? Right, like docs, accountants, lawyers or engineers just hang up their shingle these days. he reality is that even professionals with degrees are likely to work or be dependent on corporations for their livelihood.
DeleteThere is no such thing as a "medical" college degree. Is RAM drunk and high all the time now too?
ReplyDeleteDidn't Sarah say she put herself through college which is why it took her 5(?) years to graduate. I have a very hard time believing that. I put myself through college with a very good job that paid well and it took me 8 years to get through college. I believe it's just another one of sarah's lies.
ReplyDeleteI also notice she mentioned somewhere that Willow got out of high school early. Is there any proof or any evidence she did get through high school early? I would be more inclined to believe she quit school instead. If anyone knows the answer to that I would appreciate hearing if she got through early or if she quit. As I recall, she spent a lot of time in LA helping with Bristol's child when she should have been in school.
Since we didn't hear Sarah Palin bragging about Willow's high school graduation, my money is on Willow quitting school and getting a GED.
Deleteshe took online courses - that allows you to complete within a certain time frame and she managed to successfully do that - before her former class graduated. So technically, she finished early....
Deleteshe couldn't function in a public setting.
Mono?
DeleteDo you know for a fact that she actually has a high school diploma?
DeleteOr does she have a GED? I heard some squawking that she was taking online courses, but I didn't hear she earned a high school diploma.
George Bush graduated from Yale. No doubt the Palins used the same family way of getting Willow graduated from "hair school".
DeleteAnd as long as we keep commenting, she'll keep posting. When we all have nothing to say, maybe she'll shut up too.
ReplyDeleteSo true but some how I can't stop myself. I need help, is there a 12 step program for palinaholics?
DeleteI understand. I wonder sometimes if we aren't all just feeding the beast. There really isn't anything new to say about Palin or her family that hasn't already been said 100 different ways already. Whatever...just a thought.
DeleteSarah posts to feed her donors.
DeleteI disagree; we have to keep commenting to continue calling BS on her ridiculous self-serving fairy tales.
DeleteOtherwise some people will come to believe that what she says is true.
Willow dropped out of school high school.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know they said she was home schooled, but Alaska has absolutely no guidelines for homeschooling. There are no regulations, no criteria, nothing. Alaska has the most lax rules when it comes to homeschooling. And when I say "rules," I mean, there are none!
I would bet good money that all she did was study for the GED (which a 9th grader could pass) and learned nothing else.
Sarah Palin failed Willow, not because Willow went to "hair school," but because Sarah Palin didn't insist that Willow finish high school.
If you are homeschooled, you don't need a GED.Generally the school "principal" aka mom or dad, just signs off on your diploma and prints a transcript.
DeleteAnd Indiana is just as lax as AK, though looks like you have more cooperation between public schools and homeschoolers.
I did a search and found some "online high schools" where you could get your diploma by answering about ten questions.
DeleteSarah's IQ is allegedly 83. Think about what that portends for her offspring.
ReplyDeleteYes it's evident that it is indeed hereditary. I really do feel sorry for all of Sarah and Todd's offspring now and in the future. What an legacy of stupidity to leave behind. I would change my name not just my chin.
DeleteI think Sarah finally looked at her Sarah PAC filings, and realized that she was paying somebody a whole lot of money to do nothing.
ReplyDeleteShe didn't write that.
A trade is a good thing to know. Many young people study hairdressing and make a career of it. It can be lucrative. Many young women like the flexibility to fit around raising a young family.
ReplyDeleteWhat Palin has wrong is to use her daughter's career choice to slam other equally hard working young people that are NOT coasting through a party college on other people's money. Some college students (like me back in the day) are choosing less expensive schools (the cheapest for me) and keeping up their grades so the few scholarship dollars don't vanish meanwhile planning how to pay back the loans. Some college students know very well that they are among the lucky few that get 4 more years to focus on growing their minds and extending their horizons.
What irks me about this Palin rant, is that she can't just say "I'm proud of my kid" without trying to pay back every little insult she's imagined.
Exactly, 5:43! She makes it about herself once again....defending the fact that it took her 5 years to graduate (after how many different colleges was that?)by bragging that she paid her own way. Also too, notice she says Willow graduates debt free, but doesn't say Willow paid her own way. Which is great if Mommy dearest paid the tuition, what with all her millions ...but flies in the face of the 'work ethic' she espouses. Too, also, notice that Willow is already an 'entrepaneur' before she's had her first job or started a small business. Want to bet how long it takes for her to actually open her own hair salon?
DeleteWhat irks me about this Palin rant, is that she can't just say "I'm proud of my kid" without trying to pay back every little insult she's imagined.
DeleteEXACTLY! She is so petty...Tom Petty. LOL
I had to look up how much they make a year. According to this website they only make an average of 22K. That's a lot lower than I thought.
http://www.careercast.com/content/10-least-stressful-jobs-2012-3-hair-
You know, it's really bullshit that these Teabots and Palin worshipers think that going to college, and bein' elite, and all edumacated an stuff is just no good for rill 'Mericans, unless it's all hard stuff like computers or engineerin'
ReplyDeleteOh, but I wonder who they run off to if they are sick and need a doctor? Oh, yeah, THEN they call their GOPe friends and find an "elite" cuz it's their precious baby chile who needs the very best, and most edumacated smartest and bestest.
I bet they want the same for their lawyers, and money people, and their "consultants" and ghost writers, and maybe even their security Seals and Delta boys, you betcha. Then they want the rill 'Lites but only for them, all other 'Lites is bad.
Otherwise the libruls and the Rinos are the bad elites, like teachers, and them professors, and the main lame stream elites who think they know it all, and didn't like W when he went ta war in Iraq, which was from God and all.
Also, too, them Harvud and Yail types and them who spend way too much time and money learnin' stuff that ain't in the bibull, and cost too much student loans and stuff, and they aren't the rill 'Merica like $arah said in her North Carolina speech, also too.
What stoopid $carah doesn't understand is that an undergraduate degree isn't an end, it's a prep. The breadth of knowledge and the critical thinking skills of a liberal arts undergrad degree are quite desirable when getting into graduate school or med school or law school. Law schools seek out...PHILOSOPHY majors.
DeleteIt's called a LIBERAL arts degree not because those holding it vote dem (which is likely what stoopid $carah thinks) but because the skills obtained aren't tied to any one career, but applicable to many.
It took 5 years for $carah to obtain her degree (IF she did) yet she proves over and over how little she learned! Even McCain's advisors decided it was a waste of their time trying to educate her on basic knowledge. Look how quickly she forgot how to dress with a little class and dignity.
DeleteUnflippingbelievable!! How dare she interfere in other people's kids career choices. She has no business confusing other parent's college kids.
ReplyDeleteHey, Sarah, you should go down to the many lower 48 college and university graduation ceremonies, jump in the back seat of that Volvo and go museum hunting. I know quite a few students with autism and disabilities that will be receiving their BA diplomas. It's not always about the money with some people. It's about the principle and the work ethic and the challenge and the satisfaction of knowing they could do it. They might have to work at a McJob again and they may not contribute to the big money-makers, but at least, they know they accomplished what others told them they couldn't.
Sarah, mind your own business. Stop thinking that you know what's best for other peoples kids. By the way, congratulations to Willow - good for her that she pursued her dream. Please let others pursue their dreams. You owe Melissa an apology. She never tried to push a certain educational criteria on anyone. But, you are doing it. Her opinion matters because she doesn't put people down, but tries to raise hope. Your opinion doesn't matter because you put people down, and lower hopes of those who don't agree with you.
Great response.
DeleteSarah's problem is that she does not value education, and because of that fact, she has no business giving anyone advice about his or her future.
One of the best of the many gifts my parents gave me was the opportunity to graduate from a liberal arts college where I majored in philosophy. They and I knew I was not going to be a philosopher when I graduated and was not going to get a job philosophizing. But because my family valued education, they realized the rigorous academic requirements were going to make me a better writer, a better thinker, and in the long run a better person and citizen who is still excited by ideas and the desire to learn. I made sure my own children received the same gift.
As John Stuart Mill, the great Utilitarian, enlightenment-era philosopher said,
Delete"Better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a pig satisfied."
As we know, $carah has chosen not to tak emr. Mills' advice.
"Learning a trade can do both. No one can take those vo-tech real life skills away from you. They lead to independence, satisfaction, and a paycheck. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise."
ReplyDeleteGreat advice. We don't need those doctors, scientists, psychologists, musicians, teachers, mathematicians, ...
Hey now, if there are no psychologists/psychiatrists, there will be no psychiatric commitment due to 'exhaustion' for Silly Sarah!
DeleteAmirite?
Einstein needed a haircut, I'm picturing a mullet!
DeleteSarah AND her ghostwriter AND her "postage paid" PR firm AND the handlers who are giving the above their "let's party like it's 1799" yapping points ALL deserve a big, heapin' dish of STFU!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's boycott all things Palin for a week, or a month. Just pretend that she is too unimportant to notice, comment or care one whit about. Let's see what it would be like if the Palins didn't matter. We could carry on about everything else under the sun, just not one single word about a Palin. Please? We're only feeding her need for attention. She's just not that important anymore, not that she ever was.

DeleteIt’s rubbernecking a train wreck and I can’t stop watching ... sigh
DeleteNO WAY!
DeleteThats what she wants and is holding out for. Keep expising her until the job is done.
DO NOT QUIT
You left out this part...
ReplyDelete"In planning for her future, Willow thought long and hard about what kind of work would make her happy and provide her with a good income in today’s economy. She’s artistic and has an interest in making people feel and look their best, and as an entrepreneur with a strong work ethic she desires to be her own boss as a small business owner."
The only way that Willow could attend this school and be an "entrepreneur" is from the money that Palin grifted off her suckers who contribute to her PAC.
She is beyond delusional this shit off and think that most intelligent people don't see through her. Sad, that she could not just congratulate her daughter and leave it at that without having to inject her views on to others.
I don't give a damn what this moronic dimwit is saying anymore! She who quits is giving young people advise? Will someone please stuff an apple in the pig's mouth to shut her up.
ReplyDeleteHey Sarah, will Willow be the Hair Dresser for Todd's Prostitution Ring? Will she cut Trig's hair soon? Will she cut her Baby's hair?
ReplyDeleteI didn't go to Sarah's FB page and read the whole post. I only read what was copied and pasted here. I think you're off base on this one. You put words in her mouth that are untrue and dishonest.
ReplyDeleteShe didn't say college was bad or worthless. She said that college is not for everyone. This is true.
She also said vocational school is a good choice for those who can't, or don't want to go to college. This is also true.
She also said that going to college, for the sake of going to college will not necessarily lead to a good paying job in today's world. This is also true.
So what's your problem? Read it again without the commentary that was inserted. Michelle Obama could have said all of this and received accolades.
I have one daughter who went to community college for two years and transferred to a 4 year college on full scholarship. She graduated Magna cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. She then went on to Columbia University for her Master's. When she graduated, she immediately got a job in DC in the field of education policy and makes a very nice salary. We are extremely proud of her.
I also have a daughter who went to vocational school and graduated from a certificate program. She got a very nice job at our local hospital and makes almost as much money as the first daughter. We are just as proud of her. Not because of the salary, but because she chose the education she felt was most beneficial to her and succeeded, and works at a job that brings her great satisfaction. Both girls followed their hearts and chose very different paths. In our view, both girls made wise decisions.
Well, you should have gone to read the entire thing. It was one big excuse for why her kids didn't go to college. Yes, I agree that college isn't for everyone, but it was so obviously a cover for all the rest of her kids that didn't, can't or won't go.
DeleteCollege is not for any Palin.
DeleteExactly. I don't know who wrote that FB post for Sarah, and I cringe at admitting this, but my ex the college professor certainly could have. He taught waay too many kids who never should have been in college.
DeleteIt's Sarah's narcissistic attitude and pettiness. This is also true.
Deleteyes and she slammed the president, slammed msnbc, and basically talked about me me me.
Deleteshe didn't give offer alternatives in a positive and thoughtful manner. she was defensive about everything and attacked for no reason per the norm.
yes, vocational school is a good option.
yes, community college and university are good options.
yes choosing to work a trade from the bottom up to learn a craft is a good option.
her post is not offering these up as equally good options-she slams and rants and then basically says don't waste your time getting a degree.
she is the same person who took offense of what melissa harris perry said? leave our kids along you skank scarah. leave our kids alone.
Sorry to disappoint you, but your second daughter DID not receive an education. She received ob training, a huge difference.
DeleteAs we have seen, many jobs get outsourced, technology replaced, and eliminated. Those who have job training in one of them are SOL.
An education is about a transformation of the person, whether or not they ever choose to utilize that education in any employment, or not, they remain an educated person. Usually, this corresponds to good citizenship, too.
Thank all that is good and just in the world that Mr. Obama is President.
ReplyDeleteI do. Every single day. MANY times a day.
DeleteI like your happy disposition!
DeleteWhat happened to Sarah Palin's advice to stay out of the business of our kids?
ReplyDeleteOriginally my son wanted to grow up, go to college and be the POTUS.
Nawwww not anymore thanks to Sarah Palin!
My son said Sarah advised kids they don't have to go to college so now he looks up to the Palins for advice and inspiration.
He wants to be happy like the Palins.
My son thinks growing up, marrying a white trash trailer park girl and becoming a pimp will make him happy and rich.
I WISH SARAH PALIN WOULD STOP ADVISING AMERICA'S KIDS ON CAREER CHOICES AND TEACHING THEM ABOUT HISTORY.
Sarah Palin said it took her 5 years to get one degree because she worked.
ReplyDeleteWell Sarah how do you explain this away?
SIX FUCKING COLLEGES and that's not counting her overnight stays at the University of Alaska's college dorm rooms!
Wikipedia:
College 1. After graduating from high school in 1982, Palin enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
College 2. Shortly after arriving in Hawaii, Palin transferred to Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu for a semester in the fall of 1982,
College 3. Then to North Idaho College, a community college in Coeur d'Alene, for the spring and fall semesters of 1983.
College 4. She enrolled at the University of Idaho in Moscow for an academic year, starting in August 1984,
College 5. Then attended Matanuska-Susitna College in Alaska in the fall of 1985.
College 6. Palin returned to the University of Idaho in January 1986, and received her bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in journalism in May 1987
How many Basketball Players did she 'SERVICE'
Deleteduring those 5 years?
Wiki was edited quite a few times before they came up with that scenario. ;P
Deletewhen the semesters and courses were added up, she had a total of about 2 years plus 2 courses...no where near enough for a bachelors degree of any kind.
She had to take some time off because of mental issues??? Depression? Pregnancy? Wite Out? Glen?
When I called Idaho in 2008, there was no record of a Sarah Heath graduating....the staff actually checked at that point. It wasn't until I mentioned, "try Palin" that the call was transferred and no info could be given out at that time.
There's one part missing. In the facebook post Sarah mentioned doing a full-time internship as one reason for it taking her longer to complete college. She's rewriting history again. She did the internship in Wasilla at the end of the 5 years. We don't know if she completed the required number of hours. She left the internship when she was pregnant and married Todd much to the surprise of the employer.
DeleteThat's very interesting, Dis Gusted, didn't know about that stuff.
DeleteI've read that she did an internship in Alaska during her final semester.
DeletePlus, I've seen where she took a semester off somewhere along the line.
So, we are to believe that Sarah Palin jumped around to all those different schools, changed her major, had to transfer in courses, didn't take any summer courses (Sarah Palin said she had to work in the summers) and still graduated in what amounted to 4.5 years (with a fulltime internship one semester)?
As a professor who had dealt with transfer students, I call bullshit.
When I was in college, we could chose to do an internship. Most students did the internship in the summer, because if you didn't, it would be extremely difficult to graduate in four years.
As with everything connected to Sarah Palin, it's a tangled web with lots of questionable and nebulous "facts."
Sarah's the woman who thinks so much of hairstylists that she's been known to stiff them out of their fee. This recent screed on education sounds more like a passive-aggressive swipe at Willow than true maternal pride.
ReplyDeleteWe know she had plans for Track and Bristol with which they complied. Whatever she wanted for Willow wasn't realized but I have faith that she'll find some way to interfere...maybe call Mark Burnett to hire Willow for one of his shows.
I know, this whole thing makes me wonder if she has a motive besides her usual crap.
DeleteWhat plans? They seem pretty shiftless to me.
DeleteWait, isn't she crossing some kind of communal property line? Sarah is concerned and giving advice to other peoples' kids? Unflippingbelievable! I guess it takes a village idiot...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to give you a head's up because I know that you have never had your brows waxed or sat two hours for a color weave and cut, Gryph. What women do while they're sitting with the stylist is talk. And talk, and talk, and talk. We know EVERYTHING about our stylist, and she knows EVERYTHING about us. That old Clairol commercial was spot on - "Only her hairdresser knows for sure". Because a good hairdresser NEVER tells a soul anything about you if they want customers.
ReplyDeleteNo one in their right mind is going to Bristol "Diarrhea of the Mouth" Palin to get their brows - or anything else - waxed if they don't want every private thing about them broadcast far and wide.
Good luck with THAT vocation, honey. Hope it works out better for you than dancin'.
You are getting the 2 girls mixed up. Willow seems a little sarcastic and snotty to be a hairdresser...remember the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT Willow!
DeleteWillow, not Bristol. read..and try to keep up.
DeleteThat is so true about us talking to our stylists. To be really good, one should have some knowledge in Psych 101.
DeleteA lot of hairdressers are male, and many are homosexual. Good Luck getting ahead with that foul mouthed homophobic language!
DeleteAnita W - On the other hand, Willow could find herself in an environment where she counts gays as friends and learns to drop the prejudices and homophobia....or not. There are plenty of gay-free salons and other cosmetology career paths.
DeleteI've worked for many years with children with all different types of physical and cognitive disabilities. Many of them have skills that make them excellent candidates for a vocational or technical program, but not necessarily for an academic track. For those students, especially those who have a particular passion for a vocational career, I say more power to them.
ReplyDeleteHowever, in these days of high unemployment, the competition for available jobs is increasingly brutal, and a college degree can often be the difference between a job and the unemployment line. To belittle young people for pursuing a college degree is shortsighted and...yes, just plain stupid!
But, then again, she has a history of putting down things that she could never achieve herself. I think most of us refer to this phenomenon as 'jealousy'.
Spot on.
DeleteI agree with Sarah that college is not for everybody. Do they teach you PIMPING 101 at any university? How about drilling peep holes so a student can peek at women's nipples?
ReplyDeleteNo argument here.
Right Tawd?
Isn't she muddying up the waters a bit when she says she has a liberal arts degree in journalism/communications in just 5 years? A liberal arts degree, whether an associate's or bachelor's degree, require a great deal of general study credits in addition to the journalism/communications classes. Any college grads able to help me out here? I may be wrong about this but I think it's another of her tells.
ReplyDeletehttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100114024556AAdmlEO
University of Idaho journalism degree (I know it's a little different that when SP attended, but you get the drift):
http://www.uidaho.edu/class/jamm/journalism
I have a journalism degree and we had only 30 credits in my major, which was done by design so that you could get a broad based education, which is needed to be a journalist
DeleteSarah Palin hates Public Schools because her 2 daughters were wild and screwed every boy in sight while on campus. The other girls at the schools threatened them because they were screwing all of their boyfriends. The Palins were known to be 'EASY LAYS'.
DeleteJournalism and communications are entirely different programs of study. No one gets a journalism/communications degree. You get one or the other. And she probably got neither.
DeleteDoesn't the high school in Wasilla have a statue erected in front dedicated to the Palin females?
DeleteIf I sleep around like Bristol during my school lunch period, can I get a reality show, write a memoir, get a Dodge Charger, buy a house and go on DWTS twice?
ReplyDeleteWhy should I go to college?
Our questions are answered.
ReplyDeleteHow come Sarah doesn't buy Trig the right pair of glasses and get him some hearing aids?
How come Trig still eats baby food from a jar?
How come Trig doesn't go to a school with other DS kids?
Why?
Because Trig has no desire to go to college! So why buy him glasses he can see with, why buy him hearing aids to hear teachers with if he's not going to school, why teach him to eat real food since he stays home with Todd and doesn't plan to eat at college?
Makes sense now
Sad but true.
DeleteDon't jump on me, this is just an observation.
ReplyDeleteWillow sure does have a big ass nose.
I'm glad someone else besides me noticed that.
DeleteSarah you advice to other people is that they shouldn't go to college and get into debt.
ReplyDeleteOld wise one, what's your advice for Shailey Tripp?
TO KEEP HER MOUTH SHUT AND HONOR THE CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT.
I think someone got paid off and moved out of state. What is Shailey doing now anyway, has she said she has a job on Blades blog? She was taking questions for a while but that sure didn't last long and nothing was answered just like when she had her own blog. Just like the licence plate subject that came up..on her blog she said she didn't know anything about the plates with the Tripp name on it at that time , now she is saying that Todd was going to give them to her, well which is it?
DeleteWhen did Wasilla High School stop there Underage Promiscuous Struggling Mothers Class?
ReplyDeleteI don't see it on their web page.
Palin starts out congratulating Willow for sticking it out for an entire year and "graduating" from "hair school."
ReplyDeleteWhat about the kids who stuck out 4 years of high school? Do they get a shout out?
+1
DeleteDidn't Governor Sarah Palin quit her Alaska job 1/2 through and then Willow quit high school 1/2 way through too?
ReplyDeleteWhat's Willow's excuses, same as Sarah's excuses?Willow doesn't want to be a lame duck either? Ethics charges?
I'm not even going to guess why Track quit on his family.
Way to project Sarah (or, in this case, Sarah ghostwriter)
ReplyDeleteJust because your college experience (whether you actually managed to get your degree or didn't) was totally wasted on you doesn't mean that applies to everyone else (or anyone else for that matter).
What a waste of money that you took 6 years of college experience and totally managed to learn nothing and have no ability to communicate or broadcast. Pictures of Belushi in Animal House come to mind ("7 years of college down the drain").
Sure, college isn't for everyone. Please tell Mitt Romney and his pals who own for-profit schools and are royally taking advantage of the loans students take out -- and then must pay, even if they weren't college material and thus never graduate. THAT'S the big scandal.
ReplyDeleteAs for Sarah' communications degree -- as Jimmy Fallon explains it, he was a computer science major until it got too hard, then switched to communications, which he admits isn't a real major. He then dropped out of college, because the work toward his major wasn't challenging enough. (We're looking at you, Sarah.)
Undergraduate education, for those who choose the liberal arts, exposes a student to foreign language courses, logic courses, laboratory science courses, literature (English and other languages) courses, anthropology, sociology, government, and, let's not forget, Sarah, history courses, both foreign and domestic.
When the liberal arts student graduates, he or she is thus able to go forth in the world with a multitude of skills with which to confront the future. Using a combination of work study, loans, scholarships and other help, students can make it through any school, with determination.
And, yes, I have a daughter who graduated Phi Beta Kappa from an Ivy League college, and a son who's mastering a vocational skill in school. I know the plusses and minuses of each situation. I applaud Willow for learning a craft and hope she has success practicing it. I also applaud the liberal arts graduates who go on to graduate school, Teach for America, the Peace Corps, or simply return to their communities better able to contribute to the body politic.
My father took the bus from home to go to his state college. He pumped gas part-time to pay for it. He ended up as a newspaper editor and a U.S. Congressman. It takes all types.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. A liberal arts degree has held everyone of my siblings in good stead. I hope the best for my children when they finish. Unlike the last generation in our family our kids also consider themselves citizens of the world and the attendant responsibility this brings to their lives. We need more citizens of the world and not more nonsense advice from Ms. Palin who defaults to a mindless, insensible rhetoric. Why in the world would my kids take advice from her? She is seriously deluded.
DeleteWhy does Willow's hair look so obviously dyed, greasy and dirty?
ReplyDeleteShe's not a good advertisement for a future employer, or for future customers.
Don't women in Alaska use shampoo, and, occasionally, a comb? Over here on the East Coast, these two items of personal hygiene are prized by women everywhere.
so Willow has the lazy eye also? I can see why people say she's Trig's mother.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin, stay out of our children's lives and decisions. twitter twitter
ReplyDeleteOf course Sarah Palin doesn't think much of "liberal studies" degrees.
ReplyDeleteShe claims to have minored in political science (because it always interested her), yet she didn't know what the VPOTUS does and she thought the Queen was in charge of England.
Obviously, the "liberal studies" courses she took to minor in political science were a complete and utter waste of time
It is true that it is honorable and more than acceptable for young people to choose to enter the trades. We need electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, welders, carpenters, dental assistants, chefs, etc etc. And hopefully, Sarah also supports the unions that represent these trades. The training and education leading to certification in most trades can be strenuous and difficult. Willow will only be an entrepreneur if she receives an entitlement from her mother who will buy her a beauty salon to run. It takes more than a work ethic to become a business owner. It often takes investment from people with money such as SarahPAC. Congratulations and best of luck to Willow. I hope that she ventures out on her own and doesn't allow her mother to manipulate and control her 'carreer'
ReplyDeleteHow about prostitutes? Do we need prostitutes? Why is Todd in the pimping business?
DeleteAnon @ 8:07 P.M. - "and hopefully $arah also supports the unions that represents these trades". BULLSHIT!!! The traitorous skank bitch was suckholing up to Walker in WI two years ago, when people protested his union-busting tactics! She kissed his ass and proudly proclaimed that WI is a "right to work" state, meanwhile Pimp Toad held a IBEW card. Fuckin' traitors!
DeletePalin starts out congratulating Willow for sticking it out for an entire year and "graduating" from "hair school" (WHOOPIE DOO) and then switches horse on her readers and brings it back to her. Why waste her readers time and just start with and end with Me ME Me Sarah?
ReplyDeleteGriffin, I think your hatred of Sarah Palin is starting to cloud your judgement. This is not terrible advice for people who can't afford a college tuition. I have friends whose student loan payments are as much as my mortgage.
ReplyDeleteMy parents encouraged us to go to the Vokie school. Three of us did. The oldest went to a state college. Her tuition wasn't much more than one of those aforementioned student loan payments. Guess who's the least financially secure?
By the time my friends were graduating college, I was making $40K. "This is not a lot of money", you might be saying. Well, 25 years ago, it was. My best friend's trade was Cosmetology ("hair school"), and mine was Data Processing (they don't call it DP anymore). Last year, we both made $117K.
To close your mind to something just because...Sarah Palin...kinda makes you sound like a right-wingnut.
P.S. I hadn't read the full FB post before I commented about student loan payments being the equivalent of mortgages. There was plenty to criticize about that post, like blaming Obama for the fact that the "job creators" refuse to pay a living wage, or the snarky MSNBC comment. Yet you chose to criticize an affordable alternative to a college education just because it was written on Sarah Palin's FB page.
DeleteJOb training makes one an automaton.
DeleteTel us, do you give a rat's derriere what data you are processing? You do know that IBM continued to sell Hitler data processing machines and programs - the ones used at Auschwitz and Buchenwold? Or perhaps the data you process is used by Nike to get more product and sweat out of the poor women and children they employ, as they calculate to a hundredth of a second each process to make a shoe. can you tell us why child labor is wrong or time and a half for overtime is morally right? Why do workers deserve compensation for work related injuries? can't answer that? Then maybe it will get taken away, with no one to defend its morality
And you, automaton, are screwed.
I'm one of those failures as a parent. Should have sent my girls to hair school. Instead they're wasting their scholarships and a six year program at a decent College. My son just got "the skinny envelope" from the college he wanted most to attend. Willow will be a billionaire by the time my kids graduate.
ReplyDeleteLove how RAM's mind works. Congratulations to Willow.... then harp on the victimhood she's gotten from the Eliteists for taking 5 years to graduate college. I'm a few years older than Sarah, worked part time and still managed to graduate in four years. I got my masters while working full time and don't regret any of it.
There's a huge leap between "hairstylist" and "entrepeneur", it takes tons of experience and years to build a clientele, save for your own salon... etc.
I think it took RAM 5 years to graduate because she majored in turkey drum sticks and pie.
DeleteWillow admitted on Bristol's show that her best friend in AZ is a liberal that voted for Obama. Willow did not jump on Bristol's anti gay marriage rant either. I think this job will be her ticket to freedom and free choices for Willow. Sarah needs to convince Bristol to take some classes. ANY classes!!! .
ReplyDeleteDoesn't willow realize she can make a ton more money with a tell all book? Does she share bristols borderline retardation?
ReplyDeleteI read on IM that Willow has some other disease. I forgot the name. I think they said it was assburgers or something?
DeleteWillow has party girl azy form what I read about that "Life's a Bitchtol" show. I believe she doesn't work Saturdays - the day salons make the most money - don't work those days and even as an owner, your take dwindles.
DeleteDis Gusted7:49 PM
ReplyDeleteshe took online courses - that allows you to complete within a certain time frame and she managed to successfully do that - before her former class graduated. So technically, she finished early....
she couldn't function in a public setting.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Call me ignorant but doesn't a hair dresser work with the public? So if Willow was kicked out of school for not playing well with others, what is she going to do with the cranky women who do not like Willow's haircuts?
Will Willow tell them to go fuck themselves and quit that too?
Online classes are a joke. Rote learning graded by a computer.
DeleteI actually teach online courses for a brick and mortar school and I can tell you my students have to work their asses off.
DeleteNone of my students are Palins, though, and I'm sure Willow didn't learn a thing in whatever "online high school" diploma mill she may or may not have "attended."
(and, yes, many online classes are a joke...but not all of them)
This is bad of me for thinking this...but I think this hair school thing could work to the Palin's benefit in two ways. 1) No strangers cutting hair (DNA) or seeing Sarah's bald head. 2) To launder money (pimping).
ReplyDeleteTodd, college... LOL
ReplyDeleteSarah's college experience is highly questionable, suspicious and a waste of time
Track was sent away to camp in Michigan with no college
Bristol said she was going to enroll in college in Arizona and got distracted by trial husbands Gino and then Joey and having babies
Willow, poor girl, never had a chance to finish high school and no chance of going to college.
So the pressure is on Piper.
Piper you can do it... if Sarah stops taking you out of school.
Palin is a horrible mother. She turned an important time in her daughter's life, made it all about her, politics and a sick revenge against the so called people who did her wrong. The bitch is sick!!
ReplyDeleteSarah is a narcissist who sees her daughters as competition.
DeleteAccording to Shailey Tripp, she was promised lots of work, money, travel and her own business.
ReplyDeleteLook what that got her.
Shailey had to give her so called boss most of her money.
Why wasn't Willow good enough to get a job with Todd?
How much will Willow charge for landing strips? Can I get the family discount?
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin just can't help using her family to promote herself. She doesn't do anything quietly and privately. Sarah likes to live large and publicly.
ReplyDeleteThat's fine, if Sarah was the kind of gal who could roll with the punches, laugh at the jokes and let all of the small stuff go. She can't She has such thin skin that she has to respond to everything. Sarah posted a juvenile reaction to Melissa Harris Perry's comments about community by threatening to take our kids hunting in the big truck after church. Oooh, that sounds scary.
I wrote that my kids couldn't go anywhere with Sarah because she doesn't take good care of her own kids. There are too many photos of Trig in a car or truck, not wearing a seat belt. Surprise. Guess what photo of Willow Sarah chose to put on her facebook. Yes, there's Trig in the back seat in a car seat. Can't tell if he is laughing or screaming, but Sarah is saying, "He does too have a seat belt on, I told you he did."
Another problem that Palin has complained about are stalkers. Some teen aged boy has his eye on Sarah. The Palins have to get court orders to keep the stalkers away. Movie stars have learned an important secret. They do not want photos of their kids circulating around because they are afraid of kidnappers. They do not publicize their schedules because they really do have stalkers, mentally unbalanced people who write creepy notes to them.
Sarah posts much too much private information about her family for a person who pretends to be afraid of stalkers and demands privacy. You can't have it both ways. Sarah wants the publicity and has no qualms about using her kids at any opportunity. If she does that, then it's hard to claim that they are just private people.
This May and June, there will be thousands and thousands of kids who graduate high school, college, graduate school, medical school, law school, dental school, it's going to be a long long list. I'm sure that Sarah is proud of Willow for finishing a course of study. The proof will come when we see if Willow takes her education and turns it into something that she wants to do. I hope that Willow isn't going to be bought off with another one of Mark Burnett's crappy TV shows where Willow has some "interesting people" come in to have their hair styled. I would like to wish Willow well. At least she finished what she started, which is more than I can say for her mother. What do Bristol and Track do, exactly?
Who is that a photo of? It's not Willow.
ReplyDeleteWell, $carah... You might have taken five years of courses at diverse colleges all over the western states, but you sure as heck did not PAY for that edumacation! In the old days, community colleges were free - you only paid a nominal fee, and paid for the materials. I know, because I came here to this country as a foreign student, and my classes at the local community college were FREE as I stated above. (And THAT, even though I was a FOREIGN STUDENT!). Tuition was instituted a couple years after I started.
ReplyDeleteAlso, too... With you futzing around, moving from state to state every other semester, you could NOT have held ANY serious job that would have paid you enough for living, because, even in the 'good old days', it took some time for someone to look for a job, and to apply and get accepted. No serious employer would consider hiring someone on, knowing that employee will leave as soon as - or even sooner than- they finally learned all the ins and outs of said job
So, again, $carah: STFU, and stop thinking of us as being as 'stoopid' as your fellow mouthbreathers are. We are NOT.
College tuition in the 1980s was not free. It was a lot less than it was now, but it was most definitely not free.
DeleteFor fucks sake, didn't like 3 of her kids drop out of high school? One cause she got pregnant, another cause he got arrested and had to join the army to avoid jail and the third because she wanted to be a reality TV star?
ReplyDelete2 got pregnant while in High School and developed 'MONO'.
DeletePoor Willow. Oh, yes, she is graduating, and Sarah has written all of that stuff about her. Now Willow has to pass her licensing exam and run a successful business. The pressure is really on because if Willow's dream of being hairdresser to the stars or whatever her dream is doesn't come true, Sarah won't like it, especially after RAM went to all that trouble writing that Facebook post. Besides, it will make Sarah look bad. Poor Willow, graduation today, nothing but pressure tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAbout Sarah's comment that she went to 5 schools-- I think that Chuck Heath Sr. said that was nothing. He went to 10 schools. Seriously, how could anyone go to 10 different schols?
ReplyDeleteI don't disagree with Palin on this, I mean really, Willow is THE MOST successful of her children at this point, actually finishing a year of hair school.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I wouldn't personally encourage my own daughter to be a stylist. They are on their feet all day on a hard surface with their hands up in the air, which I've heard tends to lead to higher risk of stroke in hairdressers, as well as have a lot of lung issues due to breathing in all those chemicals, not to mention the actual tiny pieces of hair.
Willow should definitely hit it hard while she's young, as come to think of it, you really don't see many hairdressers over the age of 40 or 50, do you?
Psssh, that's it then I'm booking my husbands prostrate exam and my pap smear with our haircut appointment...who needs fancy schmancy doctors!
ReplyDeleteGeesh I feel so much smarter already listening to Palin...bet she even knows some tax evasion short cuts we could all use too!
Willow is the intellectual and cultural icon of the family since she made it through "hair school". "Awesome!" says Bristol.
ReplyDeleteSarah couldn't boast about Track having an accomplishment, it looks like it is all on Willow's head.
On the top picture: what is the dark circle crease around the girls right eye (your left)?
ReplyDeleteGRYPHEN: "Yeah because if you waste all of that time in school you still might end up being such a loser, that even though you supposedly have a degree in communication, you STILL have to pay somebody to write your Facebook and Twitter posts. And you certainly don't want to grow up to be THAT pathetic now do you kids?"
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty sad and pathetic that Sarah(PAC) has to pay someone to congratulate Willow on her graduation.
Sure Sarah. We really can't have thinking people in this country. We just need a bunch of kids with vo tech skills and under-developed critical thinking skills.
ReplyDeleteI agree college prices are concerning. That is why we started saving the DAY our kids were born. All gift money from grandparent was socked away as well. At the ages of 14 and 13 they have 35k & 30K so far.
While trades are important, if you are smart and motivated and have the drive, GET a DEGREE
#1 - A college education is NOT simply job training. Higher education broadens the intellect and opens the mind to new ideas. Landing a job is secondary. Vocational school is where students go to simply land a job, not a university.
ReplyDelete#2 - In Minnesota where I live, the cosmetology schools are filled with welfare mothers who attend for free in order to fulfill their Welfare-to-Work training program requirements. The goal is to get them off public assistance by giving them job skills. It's considered low-level training that anyone can complete. It's not rocket science, nor is it a substitute for a genuine college-level education.
Well, I've always thought that this country needs to provide better vocational training for our kids, but I doubt that Sarah Palin is the person to give ANYONE advice about higher education. When I was in high school there were still vocational programs available to choose from. After about 1970 that disappeared.
ReplyDeleteGermany does a great job in providing vocational training and there is not the stigma attached to choosing that form of education. I doubt that any of Sarah's kids could make it through though. It does require hard work.

What an asinine, jabbering, dolt. You can get an outstanding traditional college degree without it being "outrageously expensive."
ReplyDeleteThere is so much wrong with her entire statement that it makes my head hurt.
I used my brains and creativity to earn a fully accredited, prestigious bachelor's degree with 80% of my credits earned outside a classroom (in the early 90s; many more opportunities in today's online world). This enabled me to go on to a very well-regarded public university in the midwest with a focus on STEM fields where I earned a traditional master's degree in one of the science fields.
Palin should be slapped with a thousand diplomas.
and what happens if willow gets sick of her hair and beauty salon?
ReplyDeleteOr has and accident and hurts her arm and can't work?
She has nothing to fall back on.
Except her mother's money.
If she had gotten a 2 year degree in anything she would be much better off.
This is a women whose kids haven't even gone to a Jr. college?
If they didn't have all that money, they'd be living at home with the Palin's.
Looking back at the campaign. Many of the things that Sarah didn't seem to know were things that she should have known just from helping her kids with their homework.
ReplyDeleteThe narcissists I have known have all been incredibly weird with money. However rich, they loathe, absolutely loathe, spending money on others if they feel that in any way it is their duty to do so. They will gladly bind others to them with gifts and rewards, but giving others what is their due just sticks in their craw.
ReplyDeleteThe whole facebook story about fancy and expensive education is a justification for not doing what every normal parent does: get your child the best education you can afford.
