Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Amazing advertisement that has different message for children than it does for adults.
Now THAT is an amazing use of technology. I hope a message is there for PSYCHOLOGICAL abuse, too!
I just wish it weren't necessary.
Anybody want to bet how the Repubes will feel about this use? I mean, pigs like SP will probably scream about taking away parent's rights to control their kids!
My only fear is that the technology could be used in a bad way as well. As a parent, do I really want advertisers putting messages only for kids in their ads? Granted, the the venues for this technology are limited, but still, walking around a mall with my kid, should I feel the need to squat down at every kiosk ad to see if it's saying something else to my child?
I agree with you, Lisa. So much is sexualized for children. While this may have been developed to reach a particular demographic, soon this will be a very small percentage.
Interesting new technology, but I hope it is never used as a marketing tool. I am positive some retailer is thinking about ways to sell their sweetened cereal or horrible plastic toy to little ones as they walk along the street with their parents. The NRA could advertise child-size guns without their parents knowing.
Gryphen it is ironic that you are such a great spokesperson for women's rights and against the exploitation of children, and yet on my Ipad, every day I see an add on this blog for dates with "Thai Girls," featuring a photo of a girl looking to be about 13.
Let's do a fundraising so you need not take money from these traffickers.

Takers?
Anyone?
Damn I hate child abuse!
I thought it was pretty clever too when I saw it.

ReplyDeleteYou can be sure that, if a profit is seen in the offing, the technology will be used and defended by the users.
DeleteBeaglemom
With home schooling on the rise, you can bet that abusers will be keeping children ignorant so they won't be able to read.

Thanks.
This is beyond clever, it's genius!
