You know, its easy to forget just how batshit crazy this woman is until you see all of her lunacy strung together in one long video homage to insanity. That look on Steve Schmidt's face is priceless. but somehow I think it pales in comparison to the smile lighting up the faces of many people living in Minnesota right now.
Aside from some of her die hard fans she won't be missed in MN. I do suspect Esme from CCO is going to have to be talked down from the rainbow bridge. She was MN's local lap dog in the press, slavishly devoted to Shelly. I'm sure this will be a blow to her and her Sunday morning hate fest. I'll have to watch next weekend to watch Esme in mourning.
ReplyDeleteStole a list of homeschoolers, huh? You’ve got to brand that livestock so you know what you can harvest.
ReplyDeleteI know all homeschoolers aren’t Fundamentalist, but you can see what their thinking was.
2014 trial date for this one. There may be more trial dates depending on how badly they continue to fuck up.
DeleteAnderson Cooper too trashed her last night.
ReplyDeleteAnderson Cooper Goes After Michele Bachmann Over 'Factually Incorrect Statements' (VIDEO)

I know darned good and well the people in her camp are going to talk about how the "liberal media" is going to spin this as exactly what she says it isn't. (In fact, they already are talking like that.)
ReplyDeleteWhat I am looking forward to is them making all these profound statements about how it wasn't this and it wasn't that and they will be doing it at the top of their lungs! I want to see the laughter and gaiety when it is proven that all those things WERE the reasons she left.
And I am looking forward to seeing her in prison! AND I hope she gets thrown out of Congress due to the Ethics Committee's charges! It will be icing on the cake to see her PROVEN a liar!
Oh. And how long do you think she will stay married after tis?
Rachel Maddow last night paid homage to the political career of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, who announced yesterday that she will not seek re-elction next year. Bachmann’s anti-gay histrionics are well-documented, but there’s rarely been such an entertaining, albeit embarrassingly ridiculous compilation of Bachmann’s stupidity.
ReplyDeleteBachmann’s “mistakes” are offensively stupid, and dangerous. Countless American children likely have gone without the HPV vaccine after Bachmann’s claim it was dangerous.
Bachmann is the perfect example of “It’s on the Internet so it must be true,” stupidity, but that’s not the whole problem. Her inability to grasp basic facts — and her inability to recognize she has a problem with facts and has a staff so maybe they should do her research — speaks to a broader problem.
Maddow warns that Bachmann’s influence should not be overlooked.
http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/maddow-takes-hysterical-embarrassing-walk-down-bachmann-memory-lane-video/politics/2013/05/30/67714
I think we can be fairly certain that her Congressional staff comprises only graduates of fundie colleges like Liberty or Patrick Henry -- you know, the colleges for whom knowledge is a dangerous thing! Bachmann only spews the crap her staff feed her.
DeleteHoot Smalley, 'nuf said.
DeleteI watched Rachel last night (as I always try to do!) and liked how she handled the Bachmann news. She basically said there are still others like her in Congress that can create as much harm to the nation as Bachmann has and will until her term is completed. She also reviewed some of Bachmann's doings throughout her tenure in Congress.
DeleteWe need to thoroughly review and pay attention to candidates we vote for across the nation. Watch their 'behind the scenes work' and not 'just what they say' to promote themselves..
Maddow's show is outstanding and I recommend it to everyone. She is well educated, smart, topics are well researched, speaks well, has a terrific sense of humor and educates and makes you think! Plus, I enjoy it when she sometimes mixes one of her famous drinks at the end of a show!

Heki vs. Bachmann: the real reason Michele Bachmann quit
ReplyDeleteSomeone from Michele Bachmann's 2012 presidential campaign team stole an email list off of Barb Heki's laptop. This list was from the evangelical home school organization for which Heki played a leadership role. She lost that role and was disgraced. She sued.
This lawsuit was a part of the pile of ethical scandals endangering Bachmann's political future.
Yesterday, the court scheduled the trial.
Yesterday at 3:00AM, Bachmann released a video relating the glorious news that she wouldn't seek reelection. Of course, this is Michele Bachmann, so it was immediately followed by seven plus minutes of the kind of utter disregard for reality we've come to expect from her.
We're supposed to believe she'd have beaten Jim Graves, that it wasn't about her scandals and blah blah blah blah ...
Here's what it very well could be about...
Pay attention to the date!
A trial date has been set in an Iowa lawsuit alleging that Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., stole and misused an e-mail distribution list maintained by an Iowa home school group during her failed 2012 presidential campaign.
This morning, the seven-day trial in Heki v. Bachmann was scheduled for May 14, 2014, court records show.
Barb Heki, the woman whose email list Team Bachmann stole, will have her day in court. Bachmann's trip to Iowa to negotiate a settlement failed utterly.
The trial will take place smack dab in the middle of Bachmann's battle for her political life.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/05/30/1212577/-Heki-vs-Bachmann-the-real-reason-Michele-Bachmann-quit
A few weeks ago Michele's local paper reported
Delete" U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann is engaged in settlement negotiations in a lawsuit alleging that senior members of her presidential campaign stole a proprietary e-mail list of home-school families from the computer of an Iowa campaign staffer, according to sources close to the case.
The Minnesota Republican reportedly traveled to Des Moines Monday to meet with attorneys for Barb Heki, an Iowa woman who sued the campaign last year alleging the theft of the list, which eventually was used to contact Iowa home-schoolers.
Lawyers for Bachmann and the campaign did not respond to requests for comment on the talks. Bachmann’s congressional office also declined to comment or provide an account of her whereabouts on Monday."
www.startribune.com/politics/206531561.html
Yesterday that case was placed on the docket for May 14, 2014, and yesterday Michele resigned! So settlement? Not so much apparently!
Like I said yesterday!
"There are a couple of things which could have caused Batchit Bachmann pack up her crazy and go home. Fact or Fiction, who knows? Just like Fox News!
2. Batchit and and her attorneys could not get the homeschooler email theft and campaign coverup lawsuit to settle. Bad news: the Heki's don't want forty pieces of silver and a non disclosure agreement to go away quietly.
3. Worse news: The Heki's told Michele they have been reading the bible and that money settlements are the devil's work. The bible says an eye for an eye and that is what they want the judge to take from Batchit Bachmanns and her staffers in a public trial! "
The depositions for this suit probably will explore who was paid and how they were paid. Possibly other monkey business by the campaign will be discussed under oath.
Very reminiscent of how and when Sarah resigned.
That's a year away.
DeleteI'll bet it gets settled before then.
The only people that will miss her are comedians. I loved the guy with the tissue in the video. Love Lawrence O'Donnell.

Aaaannnnd the MN Cuckoo becomes extinct. I hate to say it, but she makes Sarah Palin look smart. I know, right?
ReplyDeleteI think Bachmann actually graduated college. So did her Dr Corndog purse carrier husband!
DeleteI wouldn't go THAT far. I'd call it a draw.
DeleteBachmann, believe it or not, actually has a law degree from William and Mary, one of the most prestigious law schools in the country, though her claim is clouded by claiming to have an LLM in Tax law, which William and Mary does not offer.
DeleteShe has also traveled a bit more than Ms. Palin, but let's face it, these two are peas in a pod.
MN Cuckoo may be cuckoo but at least she almost always looks well dressed, clean and presentable.
DeleteMeanwhile the Ol' Northern Hag looks slovenly, unwashed, and ready for Skid Row, with an aura of toxic smelly fumes shrouding her.
Now its time for her to become a multi-millionaire on the Hate speaking tour. That is what it has come to in American politics. They run for office not to govern, but to get media exposure, for lucrative paying jobs down the road. Pitiful, just pitiful.
ReplyDeleteIt will be rather difficult to get permission to leave her cell to make the speaking engagement!
Delete"Dr Bachmann" got his PhD from an unaccredited on-line school. It is not a valid degree and he is not a legitimate PhD. It wouldn't even be considered an Associates degree. In Mn you can counsel without being licensed. He is not licensed and Never published. He is a bigger fraud than she is
ReplyDeleteMichele Bachman was in the last class of the Oral Roberts University's law school. It's based, natch, on Christian principles.
DeleteHer tax degree, from William and Mary, doesn't mean she was qualified to enter its regular, competitive law school. As someone who already owned a (questionable) law degree from a school with provisionary accreditation (Roberts) taking a one-year course in tax law wouldn't be that hard to achieve.
And we're never told where in her class she ranked. Remember that John McCain was second from last in his class at Annapolis; Michele B. could have been dead last at W&M, but still got her tax law certificate.
(Fun fact: Eric Cantor graduated from the regular W&M law school the same year, '88, that Mizz Bachmann got her tax law certificate.)
When she was running for President (gasp) some of her fellow IRS workers noted that she'd taken advantage of every family leave provision that was offered, often took sick days and personal days, or just delayed in getting her work done. They were not impressed by her work ethic or work product.Nonetheless, I'll bet she gets some sort of pension benefit from that Fed'l government service.
As for her husband, you're completely correct, 10:03. "Union University," Marcus Bachmann's alma mater, is some on-line sham, not the Union University that's about 180 years old, based in Schenectady, New York. (Founded by the grandfather of psychologist William James and the novelist Henry James.)
Real Ph.D.s don't use "Dr." in their title. They laugh at those who do. The feeling is that only a physician who's gone to medical school and can respond to a Code Blue, should use the "doctor" label."
It's inverse snobbery.
But the Bachmanns are such grifters that, after getting an on-line degree, the doughboy that's Marcus Bachmann would, of course, call himself "Doctor" when setting up a sham counseling service.
Adding together the enormous Federal and Medicaid payments his clinic takes, the farm subsidies they claimed, the money that was paid to them for taking in those foster children (who probably were prayed over three times a day until they cried "Uncle"), and Michele's Congressional and IRS pensions, these hypocrites have done quite well for themselves gaming the system for their own financial advantage.
You mean aside from the fact that he's praying the gay away from others?
DeleteI note that Bachmann was in Russia when her video was released.
ReplyDeleteOnly two ways she'd be there:
1) On an all-expense-paid Congressional junket, of which there's no doubt she'll take full advantage in the next 18 months months;
2) She was comped by a private fat cat.
If #1, I hope her journeys did not cost the taxpayer $200 million per day.
If #2, who paid for her to travel?
It's imperative for the House leadership to remove her from the House Intelligence Committee asap. She's announced she's a lame duck, and it's doubtful she'd get much support from the tea party to keep her there. She can't walk out the door next year with her crazy brain full of classified information that she'll use for her own purposes.
Has the Double-Breasted Alaskan Dingbat weighed in yet on the demise of her sister birdbrain?

“I don’t think there’s that much going on, other than her going to talk at the school. Joe Muto's new book gives the lowdown on Bill O'Reilly, Roger Ailes, Sarah Palin and others at Fox
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/fox-mole-back-fresh-dirt-article-1.1358106
Muto goes on to describe working with Sarah Palin, who was hired as a correspondent for the network.
“She is every bit as good-looking, and is also every bit as dumb, as they say,” he says. “We knew immediately it was not working out with her.”
Palin exhibited “the worst type of diva behavior” while collecting $2 million a year from Fox, and “could not be bothered,” Muto said.
“We had to track her down and beg her to be on the show, and she was under contract.”
It's delightful, but not surprising, to hear that the Queen thought she'd just rake in her $2 million per year and not actually have to do any work for it. I'm surprised Fox didn't give her am ultimatum -- show up and say something intelligible, or we'll cancel your contract.
DeleteMaybe their contract didn't have such a provisions, since they'd never come across a "celebrity" who only grasped at the money and didn't want to show up on millions of tv sets in return.
Has Muto gotten his new eyeglass prescription filled?
Delete“She is every bit as good-looking, and is also every bit as dumb, as they say,” he says.
good looking????
I'll bet the Palins are absolutely green with envy at how the marginally more intelligent, and incredibly more ambitious and devious, the Bachmanns have been in gaming the system to their advantage.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Sarah. You can't achieve the heights of notoriety that the Bachmanns have without at least some sort of marginal intelligence, some real education, and the ability to get off one's duff and move. That's why Michele, in all her ignorant glory, could pretend she actually could be President.
Remember when you showed up at the Iowa State Fair to try to undercut Michele? That's your level of competence -- terrorism.
Dinty, MB got her "Law Degree" from Oral Roberts University I was dating a Law student who was attending U of Tulsa and you should have heard the derision from legitimate Law students about Oral Roberts Univ and Law School in particular. They called it Oral Roberts Carnival.
