Tom Tomorrow imagines what it would have been like if Oklahoma tornado survivor Rebecca Vitsmun had responded to Wolf Bliter's question the way it DESERVED to be responded to.

I am taking NOTHING away from Rebecca Vitsmun as she did a wonderful job, and demonstrated great dignity. But how cool would it have been if she had decided to REALLY rake Blitzer over the coals for his insensitive remarks?

Both are fine, but the original better demonstrated his level of ignorance and her humanity for not bursting his bubble, since he did it so well himself.

98 grand plus and counting... given by the godless to
"Thank" Ms. Vitsum for her courage... not to shabby!

  6. That's why I have always had a problem with that way of thinking ie: "prayer saved me or him or her...thank The Lord" what does that say to the people that died, from cancer or natural disaster etc...were they not good enough to be saved or was the prayer not strong enough.
It is a way of thinking that sets people up with unrealistic expectation and eventual disappointment.

There is enough of a delay in broadcast so that they would have simply cut away to something TOTALLY different and not shown it at all.

And had they any idea what they did show would have reverberated as it did, they probably WOULD have anyway.

How dare he, anyway. Who the fuck ever told a highly visible "journalist," he should be putting words and thoughts into his subject's mouths?

That always bothers me, when someone says it was the lords will or I was saved by God, or the game was won due to God. But he lets whole families be wiped out in horrible ways. Towns be wiped out. When a child dies, God wanted them with him, God wanted them with him. If he really wanted them he could just sap them up. It makes it seem like other lives mean less then theirs, or my home means more to God then others. People just don't think when they open their mouths. These same people didn't read in the bible where it says: Time and unforeseen circumstances befall us all. I certainly don't believe that God takes children to be with him. My question has always been why would he care about winning football game and not care about a little child being raped , abused and killed. Then let it happen, if he is so involved to even pick your mate for you. Stupid is as stupid does.
