Beats working, and you are taken care of for life after that period of progressin your personal agenda and vanity. No wonder Tea-Baggers against big government try so hard to get into office.

GOP State Lawmaker Wins Missouri Congressional Seat

State Rep. Jason Smith (R) won a special congressional election Tuesday in Missouri, taking over the seat from one political family who represented the state's heavily Republican 8th district for 32 years.

Smith defeated Democrat Steve Hodges in a race in which he was heavily favored.

Texas is going to get very, very interesting. And Blue.

Change is coming in the Lone Star State:

Enrollment data from the Texas Education Agency show that this school year Hispanic students reached 50.2 percent of Texas' 4.9 million public school children, compared with nearly 49 percent last year.

Anglo students stopped being a majority several years ago and continue to decline in number.

Hispanic students in prekindergarten through high school now total 2,480,000 in Texas. The group is 90 percent of the student population in the El Paso region.

    More:

Two of every three public school children in Texas are minorities, according to the data.

How Texas conservatives are fighting back:

Budget cuts to public education in light of a budget shortfall of up to $27 billion [...]

Budget shortfall? Funny, given California's surplus. Maybe conservative governance isn't all that it's cracked up to be?

Battleground Texas is laying the foundation for the coming Texas Democratic majority. Given the demographics, it's only a matter of time. And it's making Texas conservatives so crazy they're starting to make unforced errors:

Take Texas GOP chairman Steve Munisteri‘s efforts to drum up support for “Battlefield Dallas,” an attempt by Dallas Republicans to counter the Battleground Texas push. Munisteri flew up to Dallas for an event and said all the right things during his speech.

It was billed of “the first public meeting of Battlefield Dallas.”

But a Tea Party Republican made the headlines when he had this to say about GOP voter outreach efforts.

“I’m going to be real honest with you, the Republican Party doesn’t want black people to vote if they’re going to vote 9-to-1 for Democrats,” Ken Emanuelson said.

Honesty is good, but we knew that stuff already. They don't want black people to vote. Or brown people. Or Asians. Or single women. Or college students. Or anyone under 30. Or Democrats. Or anyone living in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and the border counties. In short, they don't want anyone voting that doesn't already agree with them. But of course, that's un-American, so the only available alternative is secession.

But nope, they can't leave the union. Texas' electoral votes will look delicious in the Democratic column, and that's coming sooner rather than later. And even sooner if Hillary runs.

    Also, this...

I so hope the Republicans across the nation get their clocks cleaned in the upcoming election.

Have you noticed they are trying to tone things down a bit? Be sure and watch what they do behind the scenes as they will say something quite different publicly!

I'm not voting for any Republican in the state in which I live - especially in the U.S. Congress!

Obama Flips Off Republicans By Appointing Susan Rice National Security Adviser

President Obama is giving the political version of the one fingered salute to Republicans and their scandals by appointing Susan Rice to be National Security Adviser.

The New York Times diplomatically reported that, “The appointment, which Mr. Obama plans to make on Wednesday afternoon, puts Ms. Rice, 48, an outspoken diplomat and a close political ally, at the heart of the administration’s foreign-policy apparatus. It is also a defiant gesture to Republicans who harshly criticized Ms. Rice for presenting an erroneous account of the deadly attacks on the American mission in Benghazi, Libya. The post of national security adviser, while powerful, does not require Senate confirmation.”

The clear message that President Obama is sending to congressional Republicans begins with an F and ends with a U.

President Obama gave up on trying to work with Republicans late in 2011, but his promotion of Susan Rice after Republicans endlessly demonized her during their Benghazi conspiracy frenzy speaks volumes about how the White House views the Republican attempts to create a scandal.

At one level, President Obama was telling Republicans to take their scandals and stick them where the sun doesn’t shine. But on a deeper political level, the president just gave the the conspiracy addled Republican toddlers another shiny object to be captivated by. In other words, it looks like the president is inviting Republicans to commit political suicide by continuing to chase these scandals.

Amb. Rice is a deserving candidate for the NSA post. She was also a deserving Secretary of State candidate. This promotion is a comeback for Rice, and Obama’s way of letting Republicans know that he is in charge. Republicans and their media machine will unleash howls about “Obama’s arrogance,” and they will use this news to advance their conspiracy theories, but this is a huge win for the president.

Republicans didn’t push Susan Rice out of the administration with their scandals. They got her promoted. Republicans aren’t crippling the Obama presidency. They are helping him look more like a man surrounded by children. There is no downside to this maneuver for the president.

The Rice appointment was a savvy move by an administration that remains three steps ahead of its Republican opposition.

Glenn Beck Goes Off The Deep End In A Conversation With Himself (VIDEO)

After Glenn Beck’s recent ridiculousness about dropping some mega-bombshell concerning a massive government cover-up relating to the Boston bombing, I thought there was no possible way for him to be any more stupid. But he never fails to deliver in that department.

In a segment from his show “The Glenn Beck Program,” on his television network TheBlaze, Beck goes off the deep end in a make-believe-but-must-have-happened-come-on-don’t-be-a-moron conversation with himself about the IRS scandal, or maybe Obamacare… I can’t be certain because he doesn’t make a lot of sense. Basically, Beck talks to himself while dressed up in a wig and mustache and speaking with a strange accent. Not only does he say dumb things, he looks and sounds more imbecilic than ever before.

    Watch the video:

And for this imbecility he is paid hundreds of millions and lives in a mansion surrounded on a multi-acred estate. Republicans: group of crazy and very angry people who would rather spend countless millions paying fools than to put even one dime into a functioning economy that would work for everyone.

That's why we have to put those lazy, hungry children to work! They need to get off their behinds and earn those peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, doing manual labor if necessary!

That wonderful Mr. Beck fella works so hard talking into that radio and sharing all that important information. So, why can't those layabout 5-year-olds clean some toilets and scrub some floors for their lunches, like that Mr. Limbaugh so wisely suggested?

I came to the conclusion that Republicans have gone truly insane, when I heard yesterday that the next vote to come up in Congress, will be to defund ACORN.

That's right: the same ACORN that ceased to exist several years ago.

And yet, some reasonably intelligent friends will still vote these idiots back into office...making THEM insane, along with Boehner and the gang.

These are the same people who have voted 37 times to repeal Obamacare...and failed EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Insanity: repeating the same mistakes over and over again and expecting different results

The next vote after that - defunding the Pony Express

I absolutely love the fact President Obama appointed Ms. Rice to this position. And, it is an outstanding 'finger' to the Republicans creating all the trouble in Congress. Love it, love it!

Guess it's called 'working around them'!
