Two prominent US bloggers who were due to speak at a far-right rally in Woolwich on Saturday have been banned from entering the UK, the Home Office has said.
Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, who set up Stop Islamization of America, and run the website Jihad Watch, have been forbidden from entering the country on the grounds their presence would "not be conducive to the public good".
The far-right English Defence League was planning a march on Saturday ending in Woolwich, south-east London, where soldier Drummer Lee Rigby was murdered last month. Geller and Spencer were both set to attend.
A Home Office spokesman said: "We can confirm that Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are subject to an exclusion decision … We condemn all those whose behaviours and views run counter to our shared values and will not stand for extremism in any form."
Matthew Collins, from anti-extremism group Hope Not Hate, which campaigned for Geller and Spencer's exclusion, said the organisation was "absolutely delighted" by the decision.

Pamela Gellar is essentially identified by SPLC as a hate group of one for her incredibly aggressive attacks on the Islamic community. And Robert Spencer runs a blog called "Jihad Watch" that is equally as objectionable.
Hmm, I wonder how Sarah Palin will respond to news that her home-girl, and fellow Islamophobe has been given the cold shoulder by the same people who refused to invite her to Margaret Thatcher's funeral?

I let my annoyance with Geller blind me. Actually, anything Pam Geller, wears, thinks or says would annoy me. But SHE does indeed looks horrific with long hair and a mouth.
Her hands look like those of Sarah Palin. But even more telling, Pam is a liar and a bigot with a black heart, just like Sarah as well.

ReplyDeleteI go to England to visit my husband's family every year and was there last month when soldier Lee Rigby was hacked to death in the middle of London, in broad daylight, by two black African Muslims. Race relations in the UK were already extremely tense and complicated and the backlash has been tremendous. Crimes against Muslims has increased 8x since this incident, which isn't surprising considering the biggest newspaper is the conservative, extremely racist tabloid the Daily Mail. This is the #1 paper and it's been stoking racism against anyone non-white like a bonfire long before this happened. They commonly run stories about Muslim "hate" clerics and brown people raping or killing other brown or white women. I'm not kidding.
ReplyDeleteOn the other extreme, the government is much more politically correct than ours. People are actually arrested and go to jail for even randomly *saying* something racist -- no free speech! A drunk woman was caught on the subway CCTV rambling something about foreigners needing to get jobs and was jailed for 30 days and lost her job. The lyrics to "Baa Baa Black Sheep" have been changed to "Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep". Seriously. So, it's kind of extreme there on both sides of the racial divide. Unfortunately, the government's extreme political correctness is just pissing many people off even more.
The main reason race relations really started to deteriorate to begin with is, since the formation of the EU, any slob from any poor, backwater member country can come to the UK and get free housing, food, health care, education etc. This is seriously straining their limited resources and threatening their white Christian supremacy. Many Brits think "foreigners" get preferential treatment and want to literally close the borders to all immigration, period.
I know this post is long and rambling, but just want to share some context on how very, very tense the racial situation there is, especially against Muslims. Shame on this Gellar bitch for trying to pour fuel on this powder keg.
Meanwhile, London is reeling from an attack by Khalid Masood.
