Outspoken Brits don't want Franklin Graham and other American hate mongering Evangelical ministers anywhere near them.

Several British pastors and politicians are voicing concerns about a controversial American evangelist’s plans to preach in the U.K. next year. 

Franklin Graham, a prominent evangelical pastor who has made blatantly homophobic and Islamophobic statements in the past, is scheduled to headline the Lancashire Festival of Hope in Blackpool in September 2018. Graham’s three-day event — similar to the “crusades” once led by his famous father, Billy Graham — is reportedly taking place with the blessing of more than 300 church leaders and members in England. 

But not all residents of the area are enthused about Graham coming to town. Some have urged the U.K.’s home secretary Amber Rudd to ban the preacher from entering the country altogether, the Guardian reports. 

Nina Parker, the pastor of a church in Blackpool, told HuffPost in an email that she’s worried that Graham’s visit could embolden those who are prejudiced toward Muslims and queer people to express that hate. 

“It will give oxygen to those who hate as they will be aware of hatred being expressed by a man of high status in the Church,” Parker wrote to HuffPost. “It will portray a Trump style, hard line, hate filled version of Christianity devoid of understanding of and acceptance of ordinary people. It will destroy the reputation of Christianity in this region as it will be assumed that this man speaks for all. It will bring Christians into disrepute.”

Parker has more than 60,000 signatures on a petition to block Graham and his merry band of trouble makers from poisoning the UK with their hate speech. 

Personally I wish we could start a petition here in America to kick Franklin Graham and his toxic crew of evangelicals the hell out of this country.

But it wouldn't help.

Even if they left they would be quickly replaced by more just like them, some perhaps even worse.

You know it seems these days that all America exports anymore is stupidity, racism, and intolerance.

I guess that's what MAGA really means.

Donald Trump is planning a secret trip to visit the UK so long as nobody finds out. Oops somebody found out. Oops it's cancelled again.

So is there like a back way in that I can use? A servant's entrance or perhaps doggie door?

So yesterday this article showed up in The Sunday Times:  

Ministers are on the alert for a flying visit to Britain by Donald Trump this month. 

Senior government officials say they expect the American president to make an unscheduled stop at his Aberdeenshire golf course as part of his trip to Europe to attend France’s Bastille Day celebrations on July 14. 

Theresa May’s team are on standby for Trump to visit Downing Street as well. It is understood that any visit would be confirmed only 24 hours in advance so anti-Trump protesters did not have time to disrupt his visit.

What a damn coward. Sneaking into the country like a thief in the night.

However apparently people in Britain can read, and earlier today this was printed in The Guardian: 

Anti-Donald Trump protesters are preparing to spring into action at short notice after it emerged that Downing Street is braced for a snap visit from the US president in the next two weeks.

Some of the protests being planned are quite....inventive.

All of this was then followed by this article from Reuters:

President Donald Trump has no plans to visit Britain in the near future, a senior U.S. government official said on Monday, but he added that the U.S. leader could always suddenly change his mind.

So in other words Trump does not want to visit the UK if any protesters find out about it, but might sneak in once they are convinced that he is no longer coming.

And this my friends is the man who is leading the most powerful nation on the planet.

Jesus what a pansy ass!

Hey remember that last President we had, who would plan these trips long in advance, and then show up despite any protesters who might be present?

Good times. 

So it appears that Donald Trump's visit to the UK is cancelled after all.

Now look I will only come if you promise there will be no booing.

You may remember that two Sundays ago we reported that Trump was refusing to travel to the United Kingdom until people started being nicer to him there.

In response both the UK and US responded that the trip was still a go.

Well as it turns out, not so much.

Donald Trump's state visit to the UK appears to have been shelved for at least two years after it was not included in the Queen's speech. 

The Queen's address usually mentions planned state visits, but Wednesday's speech only contained a reference to welcoming King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain in July. 

It follows reports that the American President told the Prime Minister he will not come to the UK on a state visit if there are large-scale protests against him. 

Apparently the invitation from Prime Minister May still stands, but there is no information when the thin skinned one might deign to take her up on it.

Let's face it Trump is a giant orange panty waist who is too afraid to face crowds of people who will not kiss his ass.

That's why he likes those campaign rallies where he can have security escort out any hecklers or protesters.

However he is at some point expected to travel to places in the world where hecklers and protesters will make up the majority of the attendees.

Hell the way things are going with his poll numbers pretty soon the only place he will be able to attract a crowd of people to applaud his speech will be inside the Oval Office.

And that is only if he does NOT invite his wife.

Donald Trump cancels his visit to the UK until they promise to be nicer to him.

U.S. President Donald Trump won’t visit the U.K. until he feels the British public would welcome him, he told U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May in a phone conversation in recent weeks, the Guardian reports. 

Trump didn’t want to spark public protests, he told May according to a Downing Street advisor quoted anonymously by the paper, potentially postponing the visit indefinitely. 

London Mayor Sadiq Khan earlier this week called for the visit to be cancelled over the president’s comments in the aftermath of the London terrorist attacks.

“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the U.S. in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,” Khan told Channel 4 News Monday evening.

Aww, did the little orange snowflake get his fee fees hurted?

Well he better get used to it because if the British papers are any indication, things are certainly not going to get better for him anytime soon.

Donald Trump is not a fit and proper person to hold the office of president of the United States. That is a view widely held in the US and among America’s European allies, by politicians and diplomats in government and by rank-and-file voters repelled by his gross egoism, narcissism and what Boris Johnson, the foreign secretary, has rightly termed his “stupefying ignorance”. It is a view we wholeheartedly share and have repeatedly expressed, before and after Trump’s narrow election victory last November. 

Trump is an habitual liar, as evidenced again in last week’s sworn congressional testimony by his sacked FBI director, James Comey. Trump is a bully, as Angela Merkel, Germany’s chancellor, among many others, can testify from personal experience. And Trump is a coward. When put on the spot, as over his authorisation of a disastrous special forces raid in Yemen in January or his bogus claim that Britain’s GCHQ bugged him, his craven instinct was to shift blame to others.

Since taking office, Trump’s dangerous, loutish and irresponsible behaviour has exceeded his critics’ worst nightmares. He has fuelled Islamist extremism by escalating US military involvement in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, at a rising cost in civilian lives. He has exacerbated divisions by his attempts to ban Muslims travelling to the US. He threatens war with Iran while cutting foreign aid and cosying up to autocrats and human rights abusers in Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and Turkey.

Yeah I don't see that red carpet in England rolling out for Trump anytime soon.

Here's an idea.

Perhaps if we ratchet up the criticisms here at home, we can irritate Trump enough so that he no longer feels welcome in America either.

Maybe we can piss him off so much that refuses to live here anymore and takes his traveling sideshow to somewhere that he feels more welcome.

Say Saudi Arabia for instance.

After all they let him touch their orb and gave him a bunch of expensive goodies.

Hey its worth a try, and I know I will certainly continue doing my part.

P.S. Apparently after this story broke Britain's soon to be replaced Prime Minister found out and they are now saying the visit is still on.

Okay, let's wait to see who's right.

New survey finds that United States is no longer one of the top five best countries in the world.

Switzerland is viewed as the No. 1 overall country, according to a survey of more than 21,000 people from 36 countries in all regions of the world. People regard the European country highly for its citizenship, being open for business, an environment that encourages entrepreneurship, the quality of life it provides its citizens and for its cultural influence. 

Switzerland is one of 20 new countries evaluated this year, as the total number of nations assessed in the survey grew to 80. 

Canada finished No. 2 overall and the United Kingdom No. 3, as both did last year. Germany fell from its top spot in 2016 to No. 4 this year, while Japan moved up two positions to No. 5 overall.

The United States fell as many positions as Germany in the rankings, dropping to No. 7 overall, behind Sweden. The U.S. is still seen as the world's most powerful country, but the gap between it and second-place Russia, which American intelligence officials say interfered with the presidential election in an effort to help Trump, has narrowed to a near-negligible difference in that area.

"Narrowed to a near-negligible difference." Oh that's just dandy.

Other findings from the survey were the following:  

• Nearly 75 percent of respondents said they had lost respect for the U.S. in some degree because of the toxic tone of the 2016 presidential campaign. 
• Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, would have won the global popular election, but Trump would have won in Russia (83 percent of survey respondents viewed him favorably) and China (54 percent). He also polled fairly well in Israel (46 percent), Nigeria (42 percent) and Turkey (37 percent).

Is this what Trump means by MAGA?

Because I really don't see it.

UK officials want an investigation to determine if Russian interference helped bring about Brexit.

Labour MPs are ratcheting up pressure on the government to reveal whether Russia interfered in the EU referendum. 

Former culture secretary Ben Bradshaw told Business Insider that the "public has a right to know" if the Kremlin attempted to influence the outcome of the Brexit vote in June last year. 

He is concerned that Prime Minister Theresa May’s government is not being transparent enough about the issue — particularly now there is acceptance in the US and other European nations that Russia has attempted to meddle in democratic decisions, he said. 

Bradshaw pressed the government on the matter in two separate House of Commons debates in December last year, during the second of which he asked the prime minister what is being done to investigate Kremlin interference.

It is a more than reasonable request since we certainly know that Putin wants to break up the EU because he fears their combined power.

And it is not as if there is not any evidence to support this.

Reports suggested that Russia used its vast intelligence apparatus during the run up to the U.K.’s June referendum on EU membership in favor of the winning “leave” vote. Both RT and Sputnik, English-language news outlets which receive funding from the Kremlin, produced often misleading news coverage that tallied with the campaign urging voters to leave the EU. 

Russia is also believed to have leveraged its “troll army”—individuals paid by the Kremlin to produce and promote fake social media content—to focus on messaging around the referendum campaign.

The Russian disinformation campaign may have influenced the vote outcome. Polling in the lead up to the referendum had showed a majority of UK nationals wishing to remain. But as election day neared it became apparent that the race had grown close, and the final vote count resulted in a narrow victory for the leave camp, which won 51.9 percent of the votes compared to 48.1 percent for the remain side. 

The Brexit leave vote fits with Russia’s goal of weakening the EU, which it has eyed warily as former Eastern Bloc countries have flocked to join. The U.K.’s withdrawal will leave the EU without one of the three largest economic and military powers in Europe.

Please, if Russian interference could convince the voters in America to elect the worst president since the founding of the country, how hard would it have been for them to convince British voters to throw away their future?

Sir John Chilcot has delivered a devastating critique of Tony Blair’s decision to go to war in Iraq in 2003, with his long-awaited report concluding that Britain chose to join the US invasion before “peaceful options for disarmament” had been exhausted. 

The head of the Iraq war inquiry said the UK’s decision to attack and occupy a sovereign state for the first time since the second world war was a decision of “utmost gravity”. He described Iraq’s president, Saddam Hussein, as “undoubtedly a brutal dictator” who had repressed his own people and attacked his neighbours. 

But Chilcot – whom Gordon Brown asked seven years ago to head an inquiry into the conflict – was withering about Blair’s choice to join the US invasion. Chilcot said: “We have concluded that the UK chose to join the invasion of Iraq before the peaceful options for disarmament had been exhausted. Military action at that time was not a last resort.”

 The conclusions of the report were as follows: 

• There was no imminent threat from Saddam Hussein. 
• The strategy of containment could have been adopted and continued for some time. 
• The judgments about the severity of the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction – WMDs – were presented with a certainty that was not justified. 
• Despite explicit warnings, the consequences of the invasion were underestimated. The planning and preparations for Iraq after Saddam were wholly inadequate. 
• The government failed to achieve its stated objectives.

The report did not weigh in on the legality of the invasion itself, though it makes it abundantly clear that the evidence did not support the decision.

The report also revealed the private correspondence between Blair and Bush, with one memo written even before Bush had sold the idea of an invasion to Congress saying:“I will be with you [Bush] whatever.”

What was it Dakota Meyer said again about the Obama Administration being corrupt and its supporters overlooking "obvious crimes?"

In this country Congress has NEVER launched a serious investigation into the legality of the Iraq War decision, and as long as the Republicans remain in charge it never will.

Instead they will likely launch yet another investigation going after Hillary Clinton. (Oh look they are already starting.)

However if anybody wants to really learn of the criminal and deceptive behaviors utilized by the Bush Administration to get us into this tragic and costly conflict perhaps the best source for that would be Rachel Maddow's brilliant documentary "Hubris."

Brexit causes 2 trillion dollar losses in stock market as millions of Brits experience "Bregret."

The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 611 points, or 3.39 percent, as investors reacted strongly to news that the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union. U.S. markets closed at three month lows. 

Friday's sell-off marked the Dow's biggest drop in 10 months. All told, there were an estimated $2.1 trillion in losses across global markets today, according the S&P's Howard Silverblatt. There were an estimated $830 billion in losses estimated in U.S. markets today. 

The Nasdaq dropped 202 points, or 4.12 percent, while the S&P 500 slid 76 points, or 3.6 percent. 

U.S. crude fell 5 percent, or $2.47, to settle at $47.64, its largest one-day decline since February. 

From Europe to Asia to the United States, financial markets showed panic over the so-called Brexit.

There is also news that the United Kingdom may not deserve that name for much longer.

There has long been political jostling among the four nations that constitute the United Kingdom, but the so-called Brexit referendum has divided them in ways that mean they may not come back together again. England and Wales voted to leave the union. Scotland and Northern Ireland voted to stay. Within hours, Scottish and Irish politicians raised the possibility that their nations would leave the United Kingdom so they could remain in the European Union. 

“This outcome tonight dramatically changes the political landscape here in the North of Ireland,” said Declan Kearney, the chairman of the political party Sinn Fein, which has legislators in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and has long sought their reunification. Mr. Kearney said Sinn Fein would seek a referendum to have Northern Ireland leave the United Kingdom and join Ireland, an independent country (and European Union member). 

Scotland rejected a proposal to quit the United Kingdom in a referendum in 2014, in part over concerns that as an independent country, it would be unable to join the European Union and would suffer economically. On Friday, Nicola Sturgeon, the first minister of Scotland, said her party would “prepare the legislation that would be required to enable a new independence referendum to take place.”

While all of this is going on there are millions of British citizens who are hoping that the "no take backs" rule is not in effect in this case.

A petition calling for another referendum on whether Britain should stay in the European Union has now received at least 2.1 million signatures — a level that means it must now be debated by British politicians. It was apparently so popular that the British Parliament's website, where the petition was hosted, briefly crashed.

The hope is to somehow invalidate the Brexit vote and get things back to normal in the United Kingdom, before that moniker gets retired for good.

What the political fallout might be if they succeed in shifting this whole thing into reverse is anybody's guess, but I imagine that the country will suffer some serious political schizophrenia for quite awhile.

Let's just make sure that every Trump supporting moron is paying close attention to what is happening here, becasue if their candidate were to be elected they would likely suffer the same feelings of regret now sweeping the British Isles.

The UK Parliament debates denying Donald Trump access to their country.

Debate began Monday in the British Parliament over whether to ban U.S. Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump from visiting the United Kingdom. 

The debate, which was started by an online petition that described Trump’s comments about Muslims as “hate speech,” will not produce any binding decisions. Authority to ban someone from the country rests with the home secretary, not with Parliament. But the debate will give British lawmakers an unusual chance to weigh in directly on U.S. politics.

Some are concerned that blocking Trump would send an unfortunate message to America: 

Paul Flynn said Mr Trump's call to ban Muslims from the US was "extremely dangerous" but barring him from the UK risked being seen as anti-American. 

Yeah I would not worry about that as most of us view Donald Trump as "anti-American."

MP Tulip Siddiq seemed to have a better handle on the situation: 

British Member of Parliament Tulip Siddiq urged her colleagues on Monday to support a ban on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, arguing that he would put Britons at risk by importing “violent ideology.” 

Although MPs who spoke all agreed that Trump’s vitriol against immigrants had been out of bounds, most argued that banning him was not the best way to deal with the issue. 

Siddiq, however, insisted that Trump would be endangering British Muslims if he was allowed into the country. 

“This online petition signed by nearly 600,000 people shows that when people feel a sense of justice, when people feel we need to stop a poisonous corrosive man from entering our country, they will act in good conscience.” 

“His words are not comical, his words are not funny, his words are poisonous,” she continued. “They risk inflaming tension between vulnerable communities.”

Excellent points.

As for how Americans will see a banning of Donald Trump from the UK?

Well I think most of us would understand completely, and then start considering options for how we could do the same thing here.

You know it has seemed that the Donald was coated in Teflon the way every criticism seemed to slide right off of him without leaving a discernible mark.

However this time Trump may have taken his "politically incorrect" shtick a smidge too far.

Not only did newly elected Speaker of the House Paul Ryan come out strong against Trump's remarks, but even the usually non-partisan reporter Richard Engel could not let this pass:  

"This is really not the country that I know," he said on MSNBC on Monday night. He continued: 

This is not small ball, actually. This matters. It would be interesting to say, "Oh, this is just fun. This is just more, you know, he's trying to score a few points." But the world watches this. The world sees the leading political candidate from one party making these kind of statements and still doing well and having these rallies. ... Those are going around the world right now, and people realize this person is leading in the polls. That must be what Americans think. I was today with an ambassador from the Middle East. Today. And we were talking exactly about this subject. And he said, "Well, people in our country watch what is going on, and it makes us very concerned." So from the world perspective, it is absolutely an image, an impression, a black spot on our collective foreign policy and our conscience. And it also just feeds into the ISIS [Islamic State] narrative.

Ricard Engel is well known for reporting the straight facts, with virtually no political spin, so for him to weigh in like this you have to know that Trump's remarks are upsetting and angering his sources.

In Britain there is already a petition, with well over 200,000 signatures, asking the Parliament to block Donald Trump from entering the UK.

Perhaps even more impactful, at least in Trump's eyes I would imagine, is news that his remarks have pissed off some of the Middle Eastern businessmen that he has long wanted to work a deal with:  

Emirati business magnate Khalaf al-Habtoor only months ago proclaimed his support for the Republican presidential candidate, but that's all changed in the wake of Trump's increasingly incendiary comments about Islam.

"If he comes to my office, I will not let him in. I reject him," al-Habtoor told The Associated Press. "Maybe we can meet somewhere where I can debate with him in a very civilized way, not in the way he approaches people." 

There is no way that I am going to suggest that this is the end of the Donald Trump campaign for President,  because at this point we are so far down the rabbit hole I cannot discern up from down.

However I will say that if this INCREASES his poll numbers, that the Republican party might just as well all start donning their white hoods in public right now.

Because there will no longer be ANY doubt as to just who they are from this point forward.

American police have killed more people just in March than British police have since 1900.

I would not actually lay the blame for this so much on a barbaric American police force, as I would that they are firearm carrying public servants in a country where virtually EVERYBODY has access to an arsenal of deadly weaponry.

A police officer in England responding to a robbery or domestic violence call can have some assurance he will not have to face a barrage of bullets, but an American cop knows full well that at any time he might come face to face with an armed assailant and is constantly on high alert with his hand on his gun.

That is the price we pay for our precious 2nd Amendment.

A fantasy of personal defense.

New poll in UK finds that 33% do not believe in "any sort of god or greater spiritual power." Wow!

One third of under-24s describe themselves as atheists, according to a new poll which offers more evidence for a "generational shift" away from religious belief. 

The YouGov/Times poll found that 42% of adults in the UK said they had no religion, including 19% who described themselves as atheists, 7% who identified themselves as agnostics and 3% as humanists. 

49% of respondents described themselves as Christian, whilst 9% were listed as "other". 

The Times reports that "33% said that they did not believe in 'any sort of god or greater spiritual power', compared with 32% who believed in God and 20 per cent who believed in a spiritual power."

So one third of the adults in the UK are now non-deists?

That is amazing.

And you have to love this next part.

Interestingly, the poll noted that political leaders were "viewed slightly more positively as a result of their admissions that they do not believe in God."

This marks the first time I have ever wanted to move to the UK in my entire life. 

What must that be like, to be surrounded by so many rational people?

I have NEVER felt more stupid.

A two-year-old toddler in UK has become the youngest ever member of the genius club Mensa, after he scored an incredible 141 on an IQ test. 

Adam Kirby scored 141 in the IQ test that reportedly ranked him smarter than US President Barack Obama and British Premier David Cameron. 

The toddler was invited to join the elite group after demonstrating his ability to read Shakespeare and understand Japanese, Spanish and French, the 'Daily Express' reported. 

The toddler stunned his parents Dean and Kerry-Ann Kirby by spelling 100 words and mastering both his times tables and the periodic table of chemical elements. 

"Adam's abilities are outstanding. While most children are just learning to stand up or crawl, Adam was reading books. His development was mind-blowingly quick," Dean, a 33-year-old IT consultant from Mitcham, South London, said. 

"We used to show him cards with the words hippopotamus and rhinoceros on them and he could identify the right animals most of the time," said Dean. 

Adam's IQ of 141 – just four shy of the Genius category – compares with the average Briton's score of 100. 

At two years five months, Adam is the youngest boy to join Mensa, the report said.

I joined Mensa once. I did.

However before you get all impressed I should probably tell you that I did it to meet smart women. 

I went to one meeting and as far as I could tell there were no women. (There was one shapeless hulk in the corner whose gender was indeterminable however.)

Personally I think that anybody who joins Mensa to meet women has already failed the IQ test. Not because there are not smart women, but because they are too smart to want to attend Mensa meetings.

But seriously two and half? How is that possible?

Far Right Wing bloggers barred from entering the United Kingdom. Why can't we do this?

Two prominent US bloggers who were due to speak at a far-right rally in Woolwich on Saturday have been banned from entering the UK, the Home Office has said. 

Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, who set up Stop Islamization of America, and run the website Jihad Watch, have been forbidden from entering the country on the grounds their presence would "not be conducive to the public good". 

The far-right English Defence League was planning a march on Saturday ending in Woolwich, south-east London, where soldier Drummer Lee Rigby was murdered last month. Geller and Spencer were both set to attend. 

A Home Office spokesman said: "We can confirm that Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are subject to an exclusion decision … We condemn all those whose behaviours and views run counter to our shared values and will not stand for extremism in any form."

Pamela Gellar is essentially identified by SPLC as a hate group of one for her incredibly aggressive attacks on the Islamic community. And Robert Spencer runs a blog called "Jihad Watch" that is equally as objectionable.

Hmm, I wonder how Sarah Palin will respond to news that her home-girl, and fellow Islamophobe has been given the cold shoulder by the same people who refused to invite her to Margaret Thatcher's funeral?

So I figured I would follow the link and see where it led.

It led here:  

Formal notification of receipt to Vote Sarah Palin USA President 2016 a sum of five million UK pound sterling (at exchange rate of equivalent in USA dollars of November 5 2012). The sum of five million UK pound sterling is equivalent value of asset held (which has a commercial market value of ?5 million). No expenditure was incurred in November 6 2012 USA presidential election campaign. This is because Sarah Palin was not an official USA presidential candidate on November 6 2012. This is the only filing that i have to disclose to FEC relating to 2012 campaign activity relating to USA presidential election 2012.

I quite literally have NO idea what this is. I checked and they do not seem to have any presence whatsoever on the internet.

Anybody have any ideas?

By the way 5 million UK pounds sterling works out to approximately $1,501,700.00 American.(Oops, should not have relied on a Google search, it turns out to be more along of the lines of $7,508,500.00)

I have so many questions.

Update: It looks like some small number of those questions have been answered. Well almost at least.

This is the profile of the person,zaccheus gilpin, identified as the treasurer of VOTE SARAH PALIN US PRESIDENT 2016.

And this was found in a Wall Street Journal article titled Brussels' Wacky Lobbyists:

Then, there’s Zaccheus Gilpin, who is based in the UK and whose registration suggests that he has pledged ₤5 million to the Conservative Party, “payable soon.” We have been unable to track Mr. Gilpin down, although a Google profile of someone with the same name suggests he’s a male model in his early 40s looking for worldwide assignments, who also claims to be an excellent kisser.

So my question is who is this person trying to mess with? The media, us. or Sarah Palin?

P.S. Thanks for all the digging you guys did on this story. I literally had just a few minutes to post it before having to leave for an appointment and did not have enough to time to do any thorough investigating myself. But you guys are the best so I knew you would get to the bottom of it.
