Bill Maher's final New Rule from last night: "If Ben Franklin writes something smart, but Sarah Palin tweets it twice and puts it on Facebook, THAT cancels it out!"
He makes some very good, and humorous, points.

That's because Sarah Palin will always be the basis for a good joke. And, she didn't need to post it twice on her Facebook; she didn't know what she was posting the first time she posted it.
Bill will be at DeNaina center in Anchorage on Saturday 8/24. We are unfortunately going to be out of the state at that time but we looked into tickets and they are $79 for what is left, minus service and other fees. I'd so go if I was going to be here.
there is a reason for the adage -- don't shoot the messenger. we need to focus on the message about uncontrolled surveillance and my second concern about how that guy got the job in the first place.
