Margaret Thatcher used to say, “I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.” So, thank you, Mark Begich, for making me and others exceptionally cheery today! Mark, after looking at your voting record I can see why you are looking for a distraction. You have voted FOR Obamacare, FOR massive tax increases, FOR carbon taxes which could cost Alaskans 21,000 jobs, AGAINST pro-life legislation, and there’s so much more. You even flip-flopped to oppose the nation’s balanced budget amendment. You agree with, and vote with, ultra-liberal Senators Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid approximately 90% of the time. Mark, you recently said, “Alaskans pick who they want based on what’s good for Alaska.” Couldn’t agree more, Mark, which is why many hope to see great changes for our great state following the upcoming 2014 election. In the meantime, we suppose we’ll see much more playing of the ol' Washington political game using those inside D.C. reporters each time you have to distract from yet another bad vote for Alaska in the U.S. Senate. It cheers us up and gives us good opportunity to remind Alaskans just how loyal to the Obama agenda you have been

Quoting Thatcher, attacking Begich's voting record, and connecting him as often as possible to President Obama, Harry Reid, and the liberals. Just like you would expect to hear from a conservative middle school student on a social media outlet after learning that she has no hope of ever becoming prom queen.
However did you notice that she did NOT double down on her claim that she is considering a run for the Senate?
No, all she says is "many hope to see great changes for our great state following the upcoming 2014 election." No mention that SHE is going to be that "great change."
And why is that? Because she has NO intention of running.
However she does NOT want anybody blowing her scam before she can trick the paint chip eaters into throwing money at her political pole dance. She is still shaking her ass and does not want the audience to wander away before she is done pushing her fake boobs together and making kissing noises at them.
You see she knows, that Begich knows, that she can't run.
But she does not want everybody else to know, that Begich knows, that she knows, that she can't run.
Does that make sense?

ReplyDelete...But before her supporters start scooping up “Palin for Senate” bumper stickers, it’s worth noting the many reasons this idea is far-fetched.
For starters, the Fox News commentator did not appear on Hannity’s show to announce that she is mulling a run; she merely responded to the conservative host’s question gauging her interest. As Palin demonstrated throughout her lengthy and highly public 2011 deliberation over whether to run for president, she is adept at fueling speculation and loath to close the door on any possibility that she is not otherwise compelled to discount. If Hannity had asked her if she would ever contemplate running for president in 2016, or for governor in 2014, or perhaps even returning to her old office at Wasilla City Hall, the answer might have been the same: She’d consider it.
The fact is that neither Palin nor any of the aides who run her political action committee have indicated she’s taken any of the steps required to explore a Senate bid. She recently re-signed a contract as an on-air analyst for Fox News after parting ways with the cable channel in January -- an indication that she missed playing the role of pundit and ideological watchdog on national television.
If she were to seek and win a seat in Washington, Palin no doubt would attract outsized attention as the nation’s highest profile freshman senator. But she would be just one of 100 politicians languishing in an institution that functions on staid formality and lengthy deliberation -- traits that are antithetical to her political brand and modus operandi.
Since stepping down as governor in 2009, Palin has been a key player in Republican primary fights, where her endorsement has often been a factor in the election fates of candidates across the country.
Her relevance in general elections, however, has waned significantly.
Alaskans, in particular, long ago stopped fixating on their state’s most famous citizen -- a fact that is perhaps her most compelling reason not to run: She might not win.
Alaska is a notoriously difficult state for pollsters to get a handle on, and recent Palin-related surveys are as scant as the results are mixed. In a May poll conducted by a conservative group called the Tea Party Leadership Fund, Palin held a two-point lead in a hypothetical primary matchup against Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and 2010 GOP Senate nominee Joe Miller (the two declared 2014 Republican Senate candidates).
But in a February survey conducted by the Democratically affiliated Public Policy Polling, Begich had a healthy lead of 54 percent to 38 percent over Palin in a hypothetical general election matchup, and only 34 percent of voters statewide held a positive view of their former governor.
Though she has never been one to make decisions based on polling, the very real possibility that Palin could suffer an embarrassing defeat on her home turf is a good reason for thinking twice about a Senate bid.
Palin remains one of the country’s most unpredictable political figures, and perhaps she will ultimately throw caution to the wind and jump into the primary fray for the right to take on Begich.
But the preponderance of evidence and logic suggests she will sit this one out.

I think we're going to see using voting for Obamacare as an attack backfire in the months running up to 2014. As more people find that they like having healthcare and it is making a positive difference in their lives, they are going to be reminded of that when the Republicans attack using it.

Obamacare has allowed our family to continue to cover our son while he attends college and works part-time. We had looked into Cobra to cover him before Obamacare, but, it was outrageously expensive and we would never have been able to afford it. The average 6th grader has better receptive and expressive language skills than Sarah Palin, as well as a broader and deeper knowledge base.
Hedges also noted that the USA loves the spectacle of a person who achieves sudden, wild success culminating in a prolonged, macabre train wreck. That's what we are seeing here.
I worked with 5th graders this past year and they would get a failing grade if they turned in a writing assignment constructed as poorly as the garbage she produces.
