Impeachmet's always been a crazy, no-win idea, but it keeps the right-wing charged up. They may be even more angry at him when they can't get rid of him through impeachment.

Despite the fact that he was re-elected with a five million vote difference between himself and diffident Mitt Romney, the wingnuts act as though he's still an impostor.

It's my belief that it is not only because he's black, but because he's half-black. The fear of miscegenation is so overwhelming that it adds volatile fuel to their already crazed anti-liberal bias. The idea of a black man (especially, perhaps, a foreigner) overwhelming a white women is a
    deep dread of many whites,

The fact that Sarah Palin is married to a half (quarter?)-breed hasn't entered into the conversation. Of course it shouldn't, but it's ironic that it hasn't, among the bots. Todd is a shadowy, marginal man, not really "one of us." Perhaps that makes her even more attractive to the pale geriatric crowd who worship her. She's still "theirs."

Todd's grandmother is a full Yup'ik. Not much of the bloodline has trickled down to blue-eyed Todd. Neither did the notion that we take care of our own larger community and not just with the attitude of "What's in it for us?" and "How does this endorsement thingy work?"

If he does a strike on Syria without Congress, then I am sorry - but he needs to be impeached. We are not directly threatened by Syria gassing their own people. As I understand the law, that is only situation he can strike.
No one I know wants us to intervene. He is doomed if he strikes.

Well, it's a good thing all our major national and international decisions don't depend on your understanding of the law Anon 4:49 a.m.

We were not directly threatened by Iraq either also too. We sure went in their with balls swinging, sending our warrior bodies in there and whatnot, right Sarah Palin? Right George W. Bush? Right Dick Cheney?

To be fair, there IS a difference between impeachment and conviction.

Could he be convicted of 'high crimes and misdemeanors'? No.

Could the House pass articles of impeachment? Yes.

It's like suing your neighbor for giving you the evil eye, assuming you can find a lawyer who will take the case. Can you win? Of course not. Will a judge fine you for wasting the court's valuable time? Probably. But can you still file suit for just about anything, absurd or not? Sadly, yes.

It all depends on the level of Crazy in the House...and we've all seen that there is a LOT of Crazy in the House these days!

  4. I think, Gryphen, that you should pay attention to what Anon@6.32a wrote about the difference between "impeachment" and "convicted".

Those assholes in the House could definitely "impeach" Obama on whatever lameness they wanted to say. He'd not be "convicted" as long as the Senate stays in DEMOCRATIC control.

4:49. - 60 day war powers authority clearly gives the POTUS right to launch strikes on Syria. Reagan in Libya in 86 & Iran oil rigs, Bush in Panama

I was driving through Richmond, VA (that twerp Eric Cantor's district) earlier this week and a man waving a big-ass 'Merican flag and hundreds of dollars worth of signs (probably Koch provided) hanging off the overpass failed to elicit a single HONK from motorists on this campaign.

    Ha ha.

Gotta love a flowchart using Orange Weepy Dude's tears as a prop. If one's impeached by the impaired, does it still count?
