As you know I do not condone violence against Sarah Palin on this blog, but having said that I certainly DO understand how people can get VERY angry at her constant attacks against he President and inflaming of racial tensions in this country.
To make that point perhaps I should share a few of the Right Wing responses to this tweet courtesy of of Breitbart's asylum for the criminally stupid:

There are quite a number of responses which accuse this McMillan of being a racist, though I see nothing racist about wanting to slap somebody who infuriates you. And of course those accusations are undermined by the incredible racism demonstrated by these comments.
The other thing that I noted was how completely these idiots bought into the Palin mythology that she is a "frontier woman" who churns her own butter, hunts her own meat, and chops her own wood. In fact NOTHING could be further from the truth which anybody who watched her lame ass reality show could determine for themselves.
Once again I do not condone violence against the Tundra Turd, but if I were a black person watching how she has attacked and ginned up hatred toward the first black president, I am not sure I would feel much different. However I probably would keep those feelings to myself.
The far right republitards will believe anything fed to them by their choice of media, thus, they believe that Mrs. Palin is a "frontier woman" because it's been fed to them by their media. People in Alaska know better, and anyone with any hunting experience that has seen Mrs. Palin hold and shoot a gun knows better.

ReplyDeleteBill Kristol appeared on Morning Joe Tuesday morning and distanced himself from comments he made on an ABC online interview Sunday about Sarah Palin’s path back into political power, saying he gave a dispassionate answer to a question about her political future, and was not actually encouraging her to run.
“I was asked, ‘Does Sarah Palin have a future?’ and I just tried to give an analytical answer, which is I don’t think she does having resigned as governor,” Kristol said. “I said, ‘I’m not urging this.’ This is useful to think outside the box, not just accept the conventional wisdom…If she wants to have a serious future in American politics, as opposed to giving speeches occasionally, causing a ruckus with Facebook posts, she should run for office. Running and winning takes away a lot of the baggage of the past.”
Which isn’t to say Kristol was against the idea of her running.
“You don’t think if she ran in the Republican primary in Alaska and beat a couple of good candidates and the incumbent senator, it would be interesting?” Kristol asked. “It would fun to have her in the Senate in January 2015. Good to have a Republican vote there, lively young senator.”
“I promise you that what she heard out of what you said was ‘how to,’” said Nicolle Wallace, the John McCain aide who was assigned to Palin during the latter’s tumultuous 2008 campaign as the GOP running mate.
“She really disappointed me when she quit the governorship,” Kristol admitted. “Until then she had been a popular governor. Fine, you’re a defeated vice presidential candidate, you have couple bad interviews, you can survive that. Quitting the governorship in your first term? People don’t understand that.”

DeleteIt's interesting that Bill had to walk back his comments, a day after Sarah's rabid fans in the Pee Pond all repeated the same meme about "rehabilitating Sarah." There must be a behind-the-scenes memo that goes out to prompt so many "different" people to write exactly the same comment. I assume that they are not all different people, but a few people using different screen names. By repeating the talking point for the day (Sarah doesn't need to rehabilitate her image) and firing off their angry emails, they probably can get Kristol to soften his language. Watch them. Someone doesn't post a personal opinion. A pro-Sarah comment is echoed, word for word by a number of those sheeple.
