Dear Jesse,
Yep, this is what Washington, DC pundits are saying – that Sarah Palin should run for Alaska’s Senate seat to rehab her political career.
Alaskans send someone to Washington to fight for our state, not repair their reputation. DC pundits might think it would be “pretty interesting” to see Sarah Palin as a freshman Senator in 2015.
I don’t and I bet you don’t either. But I need your help to fight back the continuous tide of Outside interests who want to play with Alaska’s Senate race.
This Senate race is about standing up for Alaska. Making sure our voice is heard in Washington, not the voice of special interests. This race is about fighting to protect Social Security, locally-driven education policies that support our children, and stronger laws to protect our privacy rights.
They’re trying to influence Alaska’s Senate race because they think a guy like me -- who puts constituents ahead of partisan ideology -- is ripe for the picking. And I need you to help me prove them wrong.
I’m ready to put my record of fighting for Alaska families up against Sarah Palin’s, or anyone elses’, any day of the week. But the Outside interests are already spending huge amounts of money attacking me -- and they’re not going to stop.
You know I am sort of irritated at Begich right now, due his cowardice on background checks for gun sales, and some of his radio ads attacking the President, but I have to say that this kind of makes me want to donate. And I imagine that a lot of other Alaskans reading this will want to as well.
Hell if Palin keeps attacking Begich on Facebook, Twitter, and Fox News he may go into the 2014 elections cycle with more money than any other candidate running.
Yep, she could bitch and complain him all the way back to Washington.

He was a successful and accomplished record breaking big game hunter, a model father and a hard-working baker. Reading a bio about him, he has similarity to Track Palin. Hansen's life could have turned out different had his family been able to keep his troubles swept under the rug when he burned down the school bus garage of the local high school. He also joined the Army Reserve and was a skilled marksman. Hansen did not have a wealthy parent's PR establishment to help him yet he did seem to have better success for a time and established himself as a well-liked family man. ReplyDeleteAt her age, she's good for 20 years in politics in the best conditions, it doesn't matter how dumb she is, given the right adviser she could make it work (note: she has shown very little tolerance for anyone who would be the "right adviser").
Her biggest issue is she requires all staff and advisers to be sycophants. Should she be able to evolve and allow that kind of advice and challenge to her core beliefs (again, a HUGE stretch) she could be dangerous in an AK Senate race (which would open further possibilities should she win and actually be able to complete a term).
If she continues to dick around with Fox News and her Facebook page beyond 2016 her career is over, and most of her supporters will have given up on her or died of natural causes (they are old).
She had all the best advisers, handlers, beauticians etc in 2008 and without the responsibility of being the candidate. She couldn't even last a month!

She has done enormous damage to this country as her rants have continued to encourage the teabagger racism and blind recalcitrance to all that is good in our society. Those of us who follow this blog and several others know what damage Sarah Palin and her ilk have done and will continue to do. God help us all if she is ever elected again to political office.

DeleteAnon at 7:32 am. Faking a pregnancy and then using it to dun people for money over a period of years would make most of us hate her even more. I think that either Todd is the dad and someone other than Sarah, obviously, is the mother or that Bristol is the mother. Had everyone "fessed" up right away and Sarah publicly agreed to adopt the child and raise him with Todd, then there would have been no problem. The problem isn't Trig, the problem is the immature deception that grew into a fraud. Since his arrival, it also very unfortunate that Sarah has proved to be such a poor mother for Trig. He should not be shunted about but raised with a lot of structure and love.

ReplyDeleteIn regard to Track Palin, interesting parallels indeed. How many people do you know that vandalized a school bus? How many famous people have such a history? Track was not as bright and capable as that other Army Reservist. He was not able to develope a business, achieve hunting awards and appear to be a good family man on his own volition.
The Palins have a brand, it includes the entire family. If they were selling kleenex and saying it was made of cotton and so soft while it was wood chips and harsh. What would that be? FRAUD. The same goes for Track and the other Palins.
The public that sends the family money or buys the books or watches any of the TV productions also have every right to know the truth about all of them. 1000x MORE if there is a tease about running for a public office.
The Palins can put Todd in stupid shows about the military, they can all feign charity towards Veterens and spin the repetitive bullcrap we hear time and again. Those are the things they will continue to do. They deserve no money from any form of a scam.
Since Sarah puts her son, Track, front and center, he must appear and have back up to be what she is selling. Without doubt something is wrong because he doesn't as much as have a ghost writer that can back up the crap she spews. He can't be seen in public and the occasional photo of him with family claiming he is a wonderful father and combat vet is very suspect. What all are they hiding about Track? If they must hide him as they do, so it is. They are committing crimes to lie about him and bilk money from anyone on those lies.
It is common knowledge John McCain would have been dishonorably discharged had he not had cover up from well connected superiors. From all the Palins are doing with Track, and not doing, his situation seems to be the same. It must be exposed ASAP.

DeleteThat so-called information is from a lying publicity mill. I wouldn't trust them or believe a word of it. Not even a little poor quality photo of Track with his comrades in Iraq has emerged. If he was ever there in an acceptable capacity there would be a leak or a photo to back him up. If they sent him there and he was soon in a hospital or stockade, those photos would not be leaked. We know he is not a commercial fisherman due to the fact he does not commercially fish. Anybody can 'reportedly' plan to go to college. Bristol does it for publicity. Willow had a dill with a hair skoll that the family business used to up the monetary value of the brand they sell. Have you heard Track speak? It may not be a speech problem only, he may have mental impairments. It is not likely he is going to an actual college, not likely he is planning either. It sounds like crap from the Palin brand's publicity mill.
What is certain is that Track is hiding from the public at the same time he is allowing the brand to use him. If the truth gets out about his actual relationship with the Army, the fraud could be enormous. He may consider it a job if he takes money for allowing his name to be used in the routine and speeches about Vets and the military. He may get a kick back from someone like Greta when she says 'Governor Palin's son' is... whatever they are selling him to be this week that is military involved. If he was a working in a car wash and they were honest they would say 'Governor Palin's son' is a car washer or commercial fisherman. They would not say what his last job was. Or they don't want to say the unemployable Track Palin. Unemployed Track would bring up questions. What happened to him in the military? Is he in rehab etc.
Because Track Palin is a huge part of a brand that is bilking people out of money it is critical the public knows the facts about Track. How did he suddenly cure his intense anger and acting out? If the Army had fixed him that would be an inspirational story for other young vandals like Track and Bob Hansen. Track would be helping oxy and drug addicts that could just join the Army and get well. Instead, Track is hiding and signed on to be used in a political scheme aka campaign. And the whole charlatan operation the Palin family uses to get money under suspicious and false means.
As the only Palin I'll defend, maybe Track is not a fameho like the rest of his family. He's living privately like we all want the Palin family to live. Quit complaining. As for the rest of the Palin's... have at it!
