Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

A very interesting tattoo with a very interesting hidden message.
Somehow I imagine that if you were the kind of person who would study his tattoo closely enough to see its message you may NOT be the kind of person for whom it would apply.

Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the tattoo . . . .I am told my relationships of this kind ended when I was three.
ReplyDeleteI see imaginary friend grown up but cant see if there is anything before that. Beautiful and i dont much like tattoos!
ReplyDelete"God Is An Imaginary Friend For Grownups."
DeleteIt wasn't as hard to see the mesage as I thought! It is a question. Why you'd want one of the answers behind you is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteOops - Finally saw I made a mistake - I thought it sai: imaginary friend or foe (hence the behind comment).
ReplyDeleteHowever, I now see the whole thing. A great tatoo for atheists!
That is one beautiful tat... appearance AND message!
ReplyDeleteThank you for that.
Looks like a "her" to me.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about "his" bra...
DeleteAh, finally: "God is an imaginary friend for grownups". I had first seen GOP!!!
ReplyDeleteThat little twist would be funny as well, yet just as true.
DeleteJust permit your eyes to go out of focus and the sentence is right there.
ReplyDeleteCompliments to the artist and of course to the owner of both the sentiment and the artwork.
You have an awful lot of stereotypes/beliefs about people who believe in God/self-identify as Christians. Seems to be about as many beliefs you resent people holding about atheists inaccurately. It makes me cringe - and I don't believe much. But I know good people who do.
ReplyDelete@6:28 and I don't believe much. But I know good people who do.

Um yeah.
You seem pretty preachy to me.As the troll says "Grow up"!
I'm not understanding. What is "preachy" What message beyond suggesting that self-identified believers in God, just like atheists, are not a homogenous groups. Or is that what you consider preachy?
DeleteQ: How many atheists does it take to change a light bulb?
ReplyDeleteA: One, but he'll still be in the dark.
Libel!!! Grow up. Haha
DeleteProselytize much? Thanks, but no thanks.
DeleteRead Thomas Aquinas on the meaning of "existence" of God and get back to me.
DeleteFat chance on this blog, I know. But I taught high schoolers for years, so I keep hope alive.
LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful tattoo. Slightly off topic, but Richard Dawkins has provoked outrage in the UK with his remarks about " mild pedophilia" http://www.theatlanticwire.com/global/2013/09/richard-dawkins-defends-mild-pedophilia-again-and-again/69269/
ReplyDeleteYeah, Huffington had a post about it. Dawkins view that a teacher putting his hand into the young Dawkins' shorts wasn't that bad reminds me of another Dawkins anecdote. He knows a woman who was molested by a priest in her childhood. The same priest told her a non-religious friend was going to hell. The woman was deeply traumatized by the thought of her friend going to hell. But the priestly molestation wasn't that bad, it was just "yucky". Strange man that Dawkins.
DeleteI have two young sons. I would take very seriously anyone putting a hand into their shorts. Mild pedophilia? No such animal.
Dawkins is a dick. There are assholes who are atheists, and this one is a misogynist too, and the reason for the birth of atheism+.
DeleteThe beauty in atheism is that we don't need neither spokeperson nor guru to abide to. M. Dawkins should start to meditate on how fleeting fame can be, but I guess he'd much rather like to meditate on how right he always is.
Thanks for telling me what it says. Am viewing with my iPhone and it looks like one of those scan thingies. Beautiful tat even if it didn't have such a neat message.
ReplyDeleteoh my! i needed the translation to see it too. thank you.
ReplyDeleteTime will tell...
ReplyDeleteNo doubt.
Clever and very well done.
