Florida Republicans launch investigation to find voter fraud in their state, and they find some! Sadly for them it was perpetrated by the GOP.

Courtesy of Alternet:

An investigation into the issue of voter registration fraud in the Sunshine State initiated by Florida Repulicans has unearthed no evidence of wrongdoing—except on the part of the GOP. Florida's Secretary of State Ken Detzner, prompted the state's Department of Law Enforcement to research the alleged problem, setting its sights on the Florida New Majority, an established progressive organization know for advocating the spread of democratic participation across the country. The organization was vital in registering scores of minorities last year—something which Republicans generally don't like.

The investigation, curiously, found nothing on the Florida New Majority, but it did stumble across a little fraud from the Strategic Allied Consultants—a GOP contractor that made the news last year for falsifying registration forms. Earlier this year, two former employees of SAC admitted to law enforcement officials that they did indeed commit voter fraud. Rebekah Joy Paul submitted 20 fake voter registration applications, while Christian Davis Price submitted seven. Both said they were told by the company that they would not get paid unless they submitted a certain quota of applications, and that they were strongly instructed not to register democrats.

Color me unsurprised.

When it comes to corruption Republicans need look no further than into their very own bathroom mirrors.

But hey, will that stop them from continuing to disenfranchise minority voters using fraud as the excuse? Hell no!

And since we're on the subject of liars and frauds, looks who's going down!

Michele Bachmann May Go From Congress to Prison as DOJ Launches Investigation

Marcus and Michele Bachmann could be heading to prison as the Department of Justice is investigating the couple for possibly breaking at least 11 election laws in 2012.

    The New York Times reported:

The latest is a federal inquiry into whether an outside “super PAC” improperly coordinated strategy with Mrs. Bachmann’s campaign staff, including her husband, in violation of election laws.

The Department of Justice demanded records from the super PAC last week of its finances and its communications with Mrs. Bachmann; Marcus Bachmann, her husband; and former staff members, according to a grand jury subpoena reviewed by The New York Times.

The investigation appears to stem from a complaint a former campaign staff member made to the Federal Election Commission and to the F.B.I. The staff member told of overhearing the president of the super PAC asking a Bachmann senior adviser about buying advertising on radio and TV stations in Des Moines ahead of the Iowa caucus on Jan. 3, 2012.

Although Bachmann may have technically retired from Congress, in reality she quit because the criminal investigations were closing in on her. This is the first time that Marcus Bachmann has been named in reports as part of an investigation. The same troubled presidential campaign that the Department of Justice is looking at is also the subject of an investigation in Iowa, an FBI investigation, and a House Ethics Committee investigation.

The Iowa and FBI investigations are centered on secret payments that her campaign made to state Sen. Kent Sorenson in exchange for his support and help in the 2012 Iowa caucuses. The House Ethics Committee is investigating Bachmann’s potential misuse of staff and campaign finances to promote her poorly selling biography Core of Conviction.

The DOJ investigation stems from information obtained in the FBI investigation that appears to show the Bachmann’s violating at least 11 election laws by coordinating their campaign with a super PAC. (If Bachmann violated 11 laws with her activities, Mitt Romney easily committed thousands of violations throughout the 2012 election cycle. Romney’s super PAC and campaign were so coordinated that they even shared a building.)

It is ironic that Bachmann’s people used conviction in their title because the Bachmanns are going to be lucky to avoid conviction and jail time. Michele Bachmann is in a huge amount of trouble, as it it appears that she was running one of the most ineptly corrupt presidential campaigns in recent memory.

And yet, she was babbling again today about how Syria is none of our business (yet Iraq was) and how the President will be impeached over Syria (after Benghazi, the IRS and the NSA scandals, I guess.) Someone on the site I read this on said he wishes Michele will be President in 2016. Yes, the far right is insane.

I just noticed this voter fraud committed in 2008 by the son of a New Hampshire Republican Senator. I guess if it's shenanigans to re-elect a Republican, then it doesn't count as fraud, huh? Maybe it's just a boo-boo?

  3. O/T....Hey Hey Gryphen and everybody else! Time to start your laugh engines! Baldy just sharted on her Fecesbook page a Happy Birthday to the Toad! She claims to have been hunting in an "undisclosed location"...LOL!!!

    Sarah Palin
Happy birthday, Todd! He’s finally as old as I am! We’ve been away hunting this week in an “undisclosed location.” It’s that time of year when Alaskans fill their freezers for the winter with homegrown organic protein. (As my Dad likes to remind folks: “Vegetarian” is an old native word for “lousy hunter.”) Todd is still up north, and I'll head back out again later with more family. It was nice to get away from the real world for a little while out in the remote tundra. It’s always a blessing being in the great outdoors and especially to share Todd’s birthday out there with friends. And it's always a bit of an adventure. One of our buddies got a bear, swearing he saved all our hides as one evening I was engrossed in picking blueberries when the bear silently snuck up behind us. (Granted, our buddies do exaggerate their hunting escapades... it’s part of the lore!) I’ll post some of the photos snapped on the few quasi-sunny hours we found. Hope you enjoy them and are also able to get outside and enjoy God’s beautiful creation. Even if your dinner’s wrapped in cellophane, not fur, appreciate the bounty!

She also posted some pics...one of which is of her face and it looks like she has the MUMPS!

To me, what is even more telling is that aside from about two dozen pieces of voter fraud - even if it was by the repubes - the so-called rampant voter fraud was not found! Which, of course, means that they can't use that excuse to attempt to alter the voting regulations there again!

The above statement of mine is based on the assumption that the registration fraud that was listed in the above article was all that was found.
