Has the Republican party lost Matt Drudge? Uh oh.

Drudge tweeted this yesterday after the Congressional leaders pledged their support for the President's plan in Syria.

Drudge has been carrying water for the GOP for years. If they lose him, they have lost one of their most important propagandists.

Did he really call the Republicans out for supporting war and NSA snooping now? Where the hell was he ten years ago?

    Matt Drudge simply believes IOKIYAR.

Just like you and many others here believe IOKIYO.

Now that Obama sounds just like a Republican, Drudge is becoming unglued.

Right. Because everything Obama has done in 5 years has been met with unbridled praise and joy from the left? What world are you inhabiting? The President has taken as much grief from liberals as the right. Why do you think the GOP won seats in 2010? Because liberals stayed home. Now we see what doesn't happen when the GOP thinks they are in charge. Progress. Jobs. Health care reform. Wages. Immigration. Infrastructure building. Yeah, not a darn thing has been accomplished by the GOP. Nothing. And now even Drudge sees it.

All the repigs are against anything Obama is for which includes WAR.
      WTF is "IOKIYO"?
I hate the STUPID acronyms the RW makes up. PDS etc. They are so Juvenile.

I even wonder if this was PBO's intent? He knows if he tells the Congress the sky is blue, they will say NOPE its brown! So I'm wondering if is leaving it up to them b/c they will vote against WAR, if he says he is FOR it!

Its a gamble for sure. But they have been pretty consistent...haven't they?

Drudge has always had a Libertarian bent, I thought...Can't wait to see Sarah's Tweet about it all! "let Allah sort it out"...Oopsie, I think she caught hell for that asinine tweet.
      Twat! keep your mouth shut!

My guess is It's OK if you're Obama. You know, because they are such blind followers of the GOP they will believe what they are told, so they think liberals are as stupid as they are.

Where was he? Well, back then, it wasn't 'war' it was 'liberation for freedom of religion.' It wasn't 'snooping,' it was 'keeping us safe from those Iraq terrorists' who would come over here and kill us in our sleep. It wasn't 'torture,' it was 'enhanced interrogation.' And Bush wasn't a war criminal, but a very nice man who was doing his best. Welcome to reality, Mr. Drudge. Sucks, huh?

They are idiots they go which ever way the "wind" blows...in this case, FNC, ALEC etc.

It will be interesting (in a way) to see what Congress
does. Apparently they DON'T think its important ENOUGH to break their vacay's, soooooo maybe they vote no?

Can't wait for the totally predictable and obligatory Palin FB post, agreeing with Drudge, who's providing her cover. Only, he still has his very own soapbox. No one, really, will follow her into battle. And I'll bet her bots are confused -- delirious -- about all this war talk, and wondering who to support. Some, if not many, of them will peel off from Madame Sarah and attach themselves to a safer, or more understandable, Republican (of any stripe).
Diplomacy, international treaties, war strategy and Mideastern politics are far beyond their poor power to comprehend. Sarah's already washed her hands of Syrian and its was.... but she did so before the debate really began. Can she walk back her remarks?

    Drudge asked: Who are they?

A: Well Matt, they are the same Republican Party who tried to perpetuate a fraud on America by picking an unqualified old former beauty pageant contestant as their vice presidential candidate just to get women's votes in 2008.

Thank God Katie Couric unraveled that plan.
    That's who they are.

He calls them libertarian because he can't spell teagaggers.

The right-wing christian conservative base who supported Michele Bachmann and her ilk, and who received 100% support from Drudge, are going to have to start a third party - their righteous idols are breaking away from moderate Republicans. We're witnessing the splitting up of the GOP, happening now at a faster rate because of Syria.

It was only a matter of time before one serious world event would put the conservative-right over the coals and force them to choose between a show of compassionate humanitarian support behind their superiors, or a show of spiteful children who won't bend if it means agreeing with the President.

And with the half a dozen opinions and outside pressure that their teaparty idols are adopting, they're little circuits are all going haywire and they don't know which big brain to hook into.

Matt Drudge looks just like the quintessential used car salesman, hat and all. Not to be trusted in any circumstance even if he claims to have repented for the error of his ways.

Drudge has always been, above all, a relentless self-promoter. He's ridden the Republican horse as long as it worked for him. Now that the chaos in the GOP is apparent to all but the most delusional, he's attempting a re-brand. It'll be interesting to watch.

I guess he would call Democrats all "authoritarians" and Republicans all "libertarians." That would show how little he knows about Democrats. Just when have all liberals been willing to call themselves Democrats; there is huge disparity among liberals. Drudge is just another dumb Republican. Who cares what he thinks; he doesn't know anything.
