I think that once Donald Trump has lost the support of Matt Drudge it's really only downhill from there.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

Drudge Report founder Matt Drudge emerged on Twitter on Tuesday in order to blast congressional Republicans for not doing more for tax reform.

In recent weeks, Drudge has aired his anger at the GOP for not doing enough to cut taxes and come up with a suitable replacement for the Affordable Care Act. Today, Drudge appeared yet again, and he seemed to say blast the lack of momentum on legislation to help President Trump lower tax rates.

You know it might be illegal to be enjoying this as much as I am. Especially in Donald Trump's America.

Matt Drudge, along with Alex Jones, was an early Trump supporter, pushing conspiracy theories and Russian propaganda out as fast as he could find it or simply make it up.

And now, much like the Russians, he is confronted with the reality of the creature he helped to create.

Of course in Drudge's case the creature is simply not monstrous enough for his liking.

Sarah Palin pimps a story on the Alex Jones all conspiracies, all the time website, and rants about the limitations and liberal leanings of the only media outlet left available to her, Facebook.

An oldie but a goodie.
Okay so I am going to cut and paste this entire Facebook post for two reasons.

One I am thinking that Palin might try to edit it at some point and try to make it more coherent.

And two because I think she actually wrote it and it really has to be seen in all it's grammatically tortured glory.

Ready?

Okay here we go.

THE ICONIC DRUDGE - HIS INTERVIEW! AND, DISLIKING FACEBOOK

One of the best interviews I've heard in a long time! Please listen; appreciate both gentlemen's courage, innovation and work ethic; enjoy.

(Along the lines of this interview, I've consistently voiced frustration with having to use Facebook to reach the nearly 5 million good people tuned in to my page - it kills me to drive traffic and revenue to Facebook's out-of-touch founder (Mark Zuckerberg) so he can then turn around and donate to liberal causes and candidates, thus un-doing much of what I try to do here (all pro bono, at great cost in my time and resources). (Ahem, SarahPAC.)I'm exploring other ways to stay connected with you all - if I had any other choice today to keep you informed and receive your significant input (free from any censorship or what has been called "technical problems" - resulting in some censored posts), believe me, I'd bail from Facebook and, together, we'd be elsewhere, friends! Seven years of research, writing and posting here, knowing we're ultimately contributing to the problem - i.e. resources landing in liberals' laps - is killer. And enough's enough. Drudge expounds on the dangerous Leftist monopolistic situation in his interview I've linked to here.)

Btw, Facebook, as I've explained numerous times - Sarah Palin is my real name. I'm still prohibited from ever easily logging on to anything Facebook-related as you block my attempts 99% of the time with the rejection response: "Sorry, you must use a real name"; but since your policy disallows me using a fake name accompanied by my legit contact info, it's a constant time-consuming quandary. Despite seven years of bringing this to your attention, you still don't believe me, nor through decent customer service want to make this any easier? Thank you to the good folks there who try anyway... thank you for hearing my concerns on this and had honestly pushed for solutions... may this encourage you in your line of work today:

"The world is moved not only by the mighty shoves of the heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker." - Helen Keller

Thank you!

- Sarah Palin

At this point Palin links to a Matt Drudge interview on Info Wars.  During which he bitched that nobody is talking about Hillary's lovers and claims that President Obama named the Islamic State terror network "ISIS" as a slam against Darrel Issa. (Actually the President refers to them as "ISIL.")

The Drudge interview is chock full of crazy, and usually that would be the main point of this post, except it pales in comparison to Palin's rant about Facebook's "censorship," and it not recognizing her and locking her out.

Now I am willing to bet that those of you who use Facebook have never, or at least rarely, had any trouble logging in to Facebook. Even if you use multiple devices to do so.

Which might make you wonder why Palin would have so much difficulty with it that she felt the need to go on the rant. Of course the answer is simple, ghostwriters.

I would be willing to bet that the problem is that her account is accessed by different people, from different locations, on different devices, and THAT is why there is an extra verification step that she has to go through in order to access her page.

Now as for her obvious frustration over the fact that she is limited to Facebook in order to reach her "5 million good people," she should probably take a moment to remember that the reason for that is because she was ultimately too unhinged for Fox News, too unmotivated to get a hosting gig even on conservative talk radio, and did not attract enough revenue to keep her Sarah Palin Channel afloat.

In other word she is too crazy, lazy, and uninteresting to have any other media outlet left available to her.

So she is left to use the same platform utilized by by the elderly to share recipes, conspiracy theories,  and cat videos with their friends. Which if you think about it, is really not that much different from what Palin has been using it for.

You know maybe it's just a little petty, but I am really enjoying watching Palin finally realize that her brief flirtation with fame and fortune ended not with a roar but with a whimper.

Matt Drudge lies about having to pay Obamacare penalty for not having health insurance even though there are no penalties until 2015. Conservatives come out to defend him including Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin.

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

Conservative Internet pioneer Matt Drudge has built his career on scooping up salacious gossip and breaking news stories.

But Drudge himself has become the focus of attention after announcing he paid a federal tax penalty after refusing to sign up for the Affordable Care Act.

On Friday, Drudge posted a message on Twitter to his 250,000 plus followers.

However, several left-leaning publications jumped on the claim, accusing Drudge of lying (or being misinformed) and arguing that the penalty is not in fact due until 2015.

The White House directly responded to Drudge’s claim on Twitter, with Director of Progressive Media and Online Response Jesse Lee writing:
Was Drudge lying or misinformed? Or is he being unfairly criticized?

Conservative outlets including Breitbart and the Washington Times jumped to his defense, echoing a later claim from Drudge himself that he was actually paying a small business or self-employed tax as part of his quarterly 2014 estimated tax payments.

The H&R Block Tax Institute told The Wire that Drudge is likely overpaying his tax debt now and that the overpayment will be deducted once the health insurance penalty is assessed early next year. However, H&R Block also said there is no formal payment calculation yet in place by the IRS for the Individual Shared Responsibility Provision. What’s more, when individuals make estimated tax payments, they cannot specify which government program their payments are going to, i.e. building roads, fighting wars or health care. So if H&R Block is right, Drudge’s claim is probably not exactly true. At best, he’s overpaying his taxes and assuming that extra money will go to his eventual penalty for not getting health insurance.

It's sort of convoluted but essentially Drudge is anticipating that he will have to pay the penalty for not having purchased health insurance as part of his estimated 2014, but there is no actual penalty that has been calculated as of yet.

So essentially Drudge is lying.

Of course the scent of lies drifting in the air attract the Right Wing blowhards like flies to a pile of shit.

So Limbaugh weighed in first, closely followed by desperate for attention Sarah Palin, who wrote this on Facebook:

From one Dittohead to all you others, aren't you thankful Rush defends truth, and as importantly, he defends those speaking truth! Rush is consistently loyal to the cause of justice, walking the walk as he does here in defense of Drudge calling out Obamascare. It's not commonplace that someone as high profile as is humanly possible takes valuable time to defend others. Very admirable. Very. Let me know what you think!

"Someone as high profile as is humanly possible?"

Okay that made me throw up in my mouth a little.

And by the way, how is having a radio show that is mostly listened to by rabid right wingers and comedians looking for material, add up to high profile?

High profile would be like Jennifer Lawrence right now, or Jimmy Fallon now that he took over the Tonight Show, or, dare I say it, the President of the United States.

Now THAT is as high profile as is humanly possible.

Let's face it the conservatives are so freaked out about being called out on their lies so consistently by others that they are impulsively circling the wagons whether there is anything defensible in the comments made by their colleague or not.

Palin is probably hoping that if she provides a little cover for Drudge and Limbaugh that they will do the same for her the next time SHE says something ignorant or untrue. Which will likely happen the very next time she opens her mouth.

Has the Republican party lost Matt Drudge? Uh oh.

Drudge tweeted this yesterday after the Congressional leaders pledged their support for the President's plan in Syria.

Drudge has been carrying water for the GOP for years. If they lose him, they have lost one of their most important propagandists.

Did he really call the Republicans out for supporting war and NSA snooping now? Where the hell was he ten years ago?

(H/T to TPM)
