And by the way, for all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white. But this person is maybe just arguing that we should also have a black Santa. But, you know, Santa is what he is, and just so you know, we’re just debating this because someone wrote about it, kids…Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean it has to change. You know, I mean, Jesus was a white man too. He was a historical figure; that’s a verifiable fact—as is Santa, I want you kids watching to know that.
Yes sorry all you black kids who watch Fox News (Has to be at least one or two, right?) but Santa is a white dude. And so is Jesus because this is America and in America everybody worth looking up to is white.
(THAT'S why Fox News cannot say anything positive about President. He is only half white.)
And even though Santa Claus is based on this guy.
A skinny, very stern looking St. Nicholas. |
Americans actually know that he looks like this.
Because that is the way that Coca Cola had him drawn for their advertisements, and Americans only know what to like and trust due to advertising firms.
As for Jesus well anthropologists and historians want you to believe that Jesus most likely looked like the image below.
Seriously? That face would send today's Christians scrambling for the church exit.
No, REAL American Christians know that Jesus looked like this.
Now you're talking.
See, now THAT'S the image of Jesus that puts asses in seats and fills the collection plate to overflowing.
So don't worry white kids whose parents force them to watch Fox News, Jesus looks just like you.
Besides if Santa and Jesus were really black wouldn't Sarah Palin be trying to get into their pants?
So Jesus is just as real as Santa Claus then? I'll actually buy that one.
ReplyDeleteAnd she's one of the educated ones. too, isn't she?
ReplyDeleteJesus was a white man. How in hell can she come up with that? Was he a European immigrant to the Middle East??
Looks like he's from Sweden or Denmark. Mebbe Norway.
DeleteUh, the American Christian Jesus jpg doesn't load. Does that mean he doesn't exist?
ReplyDeleteWhat idiocy. Jesus was brown, and Santa was almost certainly Lapp or Sami, in other words, mixed white and Asian. The reindeer flew because of those red and white mushrooms.
ReplyDeleteKelly certainly knows better, but she’s being bullied. That’s disturbing.
She's a complicit bitch, and like any whore, she has her price.
DeleteDarlene, it sounds like you know about the origin of the "Santa Claus."
DeleteThe attributes associated with Santa - like flying through the air with reindeer - being omnipresent - the dress - all come from Siberian Shamanism.
The Christian Church co-opted these pagan beliefs to convince the populace to worwhip their diety, St Nicholaus.
Thank you for your comment.
Megyn was probably thinking her kids were watching and so she was perpetuating the lies for their benefit. It's really interesting how it is sanctioned to 'lie' to children about Santa, to 'lie' to children about the tooth fairy, to tell kids not to take candy from strangers, and then encourage them to go house to house to take candy from strangers on Oct 31. The mixed messages are so confusing for kids and yet it continues.
ReplyDeleteMegyn is really a stupid twat, along with rest of Aile's stable of bimbos. I don't know how she sleeps at night with the crap that falls out of her mouth.
I believe she is paid mightily to express her Pidgin views. I would be tempted, but could not lose my integrity.

ReplyDeleteGood times... good times...
Bat-shit crazy I say…we must forgive these ignorant people, they are not good for our health!!!
ReplyDeleteis santa claus a socialist?
ReplyDeleteYour question led me to a long and informative surfing episode into the origin of Santa Claus, St. Nicolaus, Sinterclaus, et al.
DeleteThis time of year is rich in tradition, co-opter by the Christian Church of couse, but rich in universal traditions, which originated in Pagan traditions, which originated in the Earth's changes and humans' dependence on these changes..
And yes, I think by today's standards, St. Nicolaus would be considered a socialist. He gave money and gifts to poor children. He gave; did not sell.
no because you have to be good to get anything other than coal
Deleteno because to get on his gift list you had to be good or you got coal
DeleteAnd Megyn's drapes don't match her rug either, just as a point of historical fact, kiddos!
ReplyDeleteFuckin ouch.
DeleteGoogle "Thomas Nast Santa" to see the first depiction of the jolly, round chap that's been the "accepted" version for well over 100 years. Nast was a political cartoonist active in the mid to late 1800s. I think Norman Rockwell also illustrated a Santa for Coca-Cola in the 1940s.

Wiltshire vicar ‘accidentally’ ruins Christmas for schoolkids by telling them Santa Claus isn’t real
'We wouldn’t just walk into the church during one of his services and tell everyone there that Jesus isn’t real. He’s a person of authority and it’s not his place to be telling the children that.'
According to this report, Tatton-Brown’s slip came as he delivered his festive address to pupils. A “technical issue” meant he had to work without notes and he told them that many believed the figure of Father Christmas was based on Saint Nicholas, a fourth-century saint renowned for his secret gift-giving.
Now Some parents threatened to pull their children out of a Christmas concert at his church, St Andrew’s, in protest.
The very youngest pupils were not at the assembly but many others went home with their belief in Santa shattered. Realising his error, Tatton-Brown, who is due to retire on New Year’s Eve, apologised to the school.
But not all parents were in a forgiving mood.
Merritt added:
'It’s the older children who have suffered the most because their parents can’t really talk their way out of it like the parents of younger children can.
Loads of kids went home crying – it has ruined Christmas for them. It wasn’t a nice story for children to hear, there were lots more he could have told. Not only has he spoiled Father Christmas for them, a lot of them are now questioning the existence of the tooth fairy as well.'
Kerry Butler, whose nine-year-old daughter Kacey is a pupil, said:
'All the parents here are very upset. I think it’s a lot worse for the older children because a lot of them are on the cusp of not believing anymore and this could have pushed them over the edge.'
Tatton-Brown wrote to headteacher Sarah Flack to apologise. His letter said:
' I was very sorry to hear of the trouble following my assembly. I talked about Saint Nicholas, and the stories about him, which tells us why Santa Claus brings gifts at Christmas.
I am sorry if this was misunderstood. I fully support parents who want their young children to enjoy the Christmas stories, including Father Christmas, and I had no intention of undermining their belief in the reality of Santa Claus.'
The school has accepted his apology. Tatton-Brown was getting on with his preparations for Christmas on Thursday and referring inquiries to the diocese of Bristol.
A spokesman said:
'When Simon discovered that what he had said had cast into doubt the existence of Santa Claus, he contacted the headteacher by phone and volunteered an apology to be sent to parents. The school accepted his apology and sent it out to parents. It looks forward to continuing its links with St Andrew’s, including holding its carol service there this Christmas.'
According to one version of the legend, Saint Nicholas lived in south-west Turkey in the fourth century and performed a number of miracles involving sailors and children.
There’s also a sory that claims that during a terrible famine a malicious butcher lured three little children into his house, where he killed them, cured them in a barrel and planned to sell them. Saint Nicholas, who was visiting the region to care for the hungry, resurrected the three boys from the barrel by his prayers.

I wonder if Megyn has ever been with a black man? She shows as much ignorance as Sarah Palin.
ReplyDeleteWhat Megyn Kelly's White Santa Says About Power Dynamics In Journalism
ReplyDelete...Kelly helped cut her teeth at Fox as a member of Bill O'Reilly's culture warriors. In that context, her comments help explain the culture she is helping to defend: her own.
At the very least, Kelly's reaction to a non-white Santa demonstrates a troubling lack of empathy, but it is an empathy deficit that is becoming a pattern with Kelly, who went to great pains to portray herself as a non-ideological, serious reporter when she took over a primetime show.
Kelly has received some credit for speaking "truth to power" inside the Fox News bubble, in part getting accolades for aggressively challenging two of her male colleagues after they criticized female breadwinners as symptomatic of what is wrong with America in the 21st century. And there is no doubt that Kelly deserved credit for using her position of power to reject misogyny.
But her record of using that position of power to defend non-majority populations is sketchy when it comes to experiences outside her own.
After Kelly pushed back on one of her guests on Fox for referring to maternity leave as "a racket," Jon Stewart skewered her for having previously dismissed society's interest in making sure that workers have a basic level of benefits. Stewart demonstrated that Kelly's position on the danger of entitlements being "baked in the cake" was at odds with her newfound defense of workers being entitled to maternity leave.
In other words, the empathy deficit remained. It's just that Kelly's own culture now included maternity leave.
Kelly's warfare on behalf of her own culture taps into broader power dynamics that are at play throughout the media. As Media Matters has documented, broadcast and cable news is disproportionately the home of white men. And particularly in the arena of nightly television news, it is the dominion of highly paid elites who have the ability to set the agenda.
So it's important to look at the stories that don't get covered.

That's just standard Conservative Brain Disorder: Due to their complete incapacity for empathy, they're against anything that doesn't reflect their personal experience, until it does. Then they modify their values to suit.
DeleteUsually they do this completely casually, as if that had been their position all along. You generally don't see sufferers of CBD admitting they were wrong about anything. Ever.
Maintaining that facade of consistent superiority means far, far more to them than truth. So they'd never undermine themselves by seeming to question their own certainty or admitting they had corrected a flawed point of view.
In fact, as we've seen, the standard CBD response to criticism is to "double down" on the flawed thinking, seemingly just to spite the critic. They just can't help it. We're seeing TONS of this these days.
Just look at all the teacretins who actually believe the reason their grip on the controls of government is slipping is because they're not conservative enough. They really believe that. They really believe they reflect the majority view.
...And when they get voted out of office in droves, they'll concoct some conspiracy to blame it on. -And probably start shooting at people.
Any word from Nyah yet on the records from Mat Su Regional from 4/18/08? She hoaxed all of us again, didn't she?
ReplyDelete?
DeleteAre you saying Nyah hoaxed us? Because the only people here who would be worrying about Nyah are Palins, Dr. CBJ, and Patullo.
DeleteI use to think that Kelly was one of the better host on Fox, but I can't believe what she said. That is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard on TV in my 63 years. I know it won't happen, but that comment is one she should apologize to her viewers for saying what she did. But knowing Fox, I'll bet Ailes doesn't see anything wrong with what she said, and probably supports it.
ReplyDeleteThe New Nation takes it further: "Ethiopian Christianity, which pre-dates European Christianity, always depicts Christ as an African and it generally agreed that people of the region where Jesus came from looked nothing like Boris Johnson," the paper says. As light-hearted evidence that Jesus was black, it adds that he "called everybody 'brother', liked Gospel, and couldn't get a fair trial".

ReplyDeleteSomething just occurred to me when I was reading a Media Matters article entitled "What Megyn Kelly's White Santa Says About Power Dynamics In Journalism", which discussion by Kelly et al was in response to a blog entry by Slate columnist Aisha Harris.
ReplyDeleteBasically, Megyn Kelly was channeling both Sarah Palin and Thomas Thistlewood as provocateur/power-punisher, and was figuratively sh*tting in Aisha Harris' mouth. She did everything but tell Harris "your feelings and sense of self-worth are nothing to me".
