Gee why did the Republicans stop talking about Obamacare again?

Oh that's right, because it's working.

Well they still have the IRS scandal, Benghazi, and Fast and Furious.

Oh wait.

P.S. By the way 1/4 of that 2.2 million is made up of young people

  1. Soon they'll stop calling it "Obamacare".

We are dragging this Nation for its own benefit into the Twenty-First Century, albeit kicking and screaming. As we go along, I think the young ones will begin to understand when it dawns upon them that there is one even better option "single payer" as a basic right and responsibility withdrawn from each paycheck with further option for upgrades if their salaries rise above the mandatory level. In other words, a combination of Medicare for All and private policies. We'll get there yet! It is the best avenue for upward mobility for the young generation.

I would like to point out that the 2.2 million does NOT include those that went directly to the individual insurance sites, this is only those that went through the national data base. The people I helped apply were not going to get any subsidies so it was much easier to go directly to the insurance company of their choices website.

  5. When the youngest segment of sign-ups is included, under 18 years of age, the percentage is 30%.

It's interesting to see how the media still diminishes the good news, even by so called (but really not) "liberal media".

My stupid small company's HR idiot canceled our health and dental insurance at the end of December without telling any of us, but as of today (1/14), still has not signed on with any new insurance companies. She and the company owner are blaming Obama, claiming "Obamacare" means they're not being allowed to buy insurance. They are both rightwing fundamentalist Christians.

2.2 million? that is 7/10ths of a percent of the population in this country. That is considered a success?

There's so many more pressing scandals for the GOP to scream about and stomp their feet over then the ACA. And beside, beating the same dead horse get's boring after awhile. Then there's those pesky things called "facts" and "success" that, in time, will make the GOP's insanity no longer useful.
