Courtesy of MSNBC:
Just 19% of Americans have confidence in Republicans, while a whopping 80% do not.
A new poll that found Americans with serious doubts about all their elected officials, but Republicans scored particularly badly—even with their own voters.
Just 36% of self-identified Republican voters say they have faith that their lawmakers will make good decisions.
They’re damning numbers for a party that’s hoping to retake the Senate in 2014, hold onto the House of Representatives, and locate a promising candidate capable of beating the Democratic matriarch Hillary Clinton.
In contrast, Congressional Democrats had the support of their own party—a majority support them—but just 27% of Americans overall.
As if that were not enough there is another new poll out that finds that Americans see the Republican party as too extreme: Americans view Democrats as more willing to work across party lines and Republicans as more extreme in their beliefs, according to a new poll from the Pew Research Center.
Asked to chose which party was more extreme in its positions, 54 percent of Americans picked the GOP, while 35 percent selected the Democrats. On the question of who was more willing to work with the other party, 52 percent pegged the Democrats, and 27 percent deemed Republicans more bipartisan.
But have no fear Republicans. I mean after all you still have Obamacare, Benghazi, and Monica Lewinsky to use against the Democrats. Right?
Well maybe they should have a little fear.
Rand Paul could not pass the test to become an opthalmologist, so formed his own committee to lower the standards. Romney dodges paying his taxes with ofshore accounts, besides his son stating he did not really WANT to be president. Jeb Bush has too much of his own baggage, plus W's around his neck like an anchor. Cruz is a liar, stating that the shut down of the government was President Obama's fault. Gingrich? Probably already having an affair with wife #4. Santorum the Saint, still lives with the wife who used to shack up with the abortion doctor before she took Rick on as sloppy seconds. Spotless reputations for all the gop candidates, eh? OT Wendy Davis is responding to the Bristles Palin slam. Accusing Wendy of making up a lifestory as a "made for TV" story is pretty funny, coming from the failed "reality" star Bristles.
ReplyDeleteO/T but so damn hilarious! The patients at the Asylum are commencing to have a brawl in the Day Room (Open Thread)!
ReplyDeleteSome of the regular patients are PISSED....PISSED I tell ya over her defense of John McCornTeeth and they are letting folks know it!
Gotta go...when I left "Tencole" had just thrown a chair and insulted Baldy and now she's declaring to whoever to...."bring it on'!
LOL!!!
From her Facebook bullsh!t:
DeleteWe live in a time of diminishing virtues because of societal influence towards total self-centeredness. This is unfortunate and makes raising families, conducting business, and governing that much more challenging. I know how important the virtue of loyalty is because in politics it’s pretty much nonexistent. I stand on that most important virtue and answer those asking today: “Yes, I am proud to have been asked to run with him in 2008, and he is my friend.”
That Facebook portion (7:21) is NOT her verbage....someone wrote it for her. McCain never acknowledges her - avoids her like the plaque!
DeleteThe thought that Mrs. Palin could, without help from a classmate or copying from the student beside her, compose this is beyond ridiculous. The woman, who has been In front of a microphone it seems since she has drawn breath, has almost never, ever, displayed a thought process that does not flow like thirty miles of bad road. I have always suspected that she suffers from some sort or learning disability and coupled with the hard cold fact that she is truly dumb as a boot nail, anyone believing that this statement issued forth, unaided from Mrs. Palin's Bic pen or lipsticked maw, well, I've got some swampland in Jersey I wanna show you. Son of Kong, what a world, huh?
Delete" I know how important the virtue of loyalty is . . . "
DeleteBy loyalty, Ol' Grifter of the Earth, do you mean like using a sharpie to scribble out McCain's name on a visor that you are wearing?
Who, where and when was the poll conducted? Not a real credible post until that is known.
ReplyDeleteGee, now that wasn't so hard. Next time, try doing a little homework, it's really so easy to Google.
Deletehttp://www.washingtonpost.com/page/2010-2019/WashingtonPost/2014/01/26/National-Politics/Polling/release_289.xml
Why do you find it necessary to be sarcastic?
DeleteI'm sorry but it is not to much to ask for a source. If nothing else to give credit to the source. Got to play by the rules or Griffen has the same credibility as FAUX News or C4Pee
DeleteVote, vote, vote in the next election and do not mark your ballot for a Republican! Begin w/Parnell in Alaska! He is up for reelection - is a friend of Sarah Palin and continues to STILL cover for her. He's an oil man (in an oil and gas state) -was a former employee of Conaco and remains in their back pocket!
ReplyDeleteHe is now trying to destroy the public school system as is being done in the lower 48 by ALL Republican led states. They are trying to privatize it - and/or - promote home schooling - and the poor and some middle class will not be able to afford it for their children. Thereby, creating more uneducated poor people that the rich (throughout the country) can control!
Pay attention to how Republicans have voted (if they are up for reelection) - they say one thing and vote the complete opposite. Americans need to educate themselves and pay attention! Plus, they are the ones (openly) going after women's rights throughout the nation!
Palin Defends McCain After Censure By Arizona GOP
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin is coming to the defense of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) after the senior senator from Arizona was censured by Republicans in Arizona who dubbed him a "Republican In Name Only."
In a post on her Facebook page Palin on Monday, McCain's former presidential running mate, says that she may not always agree with the senator on everything but "it's perplexing to see Senator McCain’s good efforts to uncover the Obama agenda being ignored and perhaps even hindered now by those wanting to censure the Arizona Senator."
"Despite our differences on some other issues, there is no questioning Senator McCain’s dedication to national security in spite of the White House’s agenda," Palin continued.
Over the weekend the Maricopa County Republican Committee voted to censure McCain for having, according to the Maricopa Republicans, a "long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with Liberal Democrats." That effort to censure McCain was organized and pushed by tea party Republicans in the state.

McCain said:
Delete"Hey Sarah, why don't you have your ghostwriter(s) post something on your Facebook in support of me. If not, I might have to tell the world where Trig came from, publish Tripp's real birthdate, and remind the public that you were a catatonic, know-nothing, hot mess who sank my campaign. Thanks in advance for your support, Sarah. I always know I can depend on you and in turn you can always depend on me, as long as we help each other out. Meghan and Cindy send their love (not really).
Signed
Forever bonded by lies and obfuscation
Yours truly,
Senator John McCain"
you nailed it right on the head, forever tied to each others bung hole
DeleteSarah's home in Scottsdale is located in Maricopa County. So she's pissing off the local Republicans and the tea party by defending her "friend"!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/01/28/can-the-gop-get-out-of-its-own-way-recent-comments-make-you-wonder.html
ReplyDelete3. Sarah Palin misplays the race card. To commemorate last week’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Sarah Palin commented on Facebook, “Mr. President, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card.” Apparently Palin believes that the best way for the GOP to attract minority voters is to tell our country’s first black president to stop talking about his race.
This midterm is going to be the craziest election yet.....this latest attack on McCain is not to be believed. OMG...anyone watching Chris Matthews last night saw just how nuts those Arizona guys really are. I can imagine McCain just putting his head in his hands and mumbling "I give up." They will put forth the worst people again and it will be like choosing between black & white. I just hope the dems remind voters how the GOP campaigned both times citing "JOBS JOBS JOBS" and all they delivered was more abortion bills, 48 repeals of Obamacare and cuts to every damn thing that helps people struggling. I hope every woman votes....blow them away for good, it is hard to believe any woman could be a republican these days. There is a painful interview aired by CNN with Bernie Sanders and Michele Bachman...by that worthless Wolf Blitzer. She is a disgrace to every woman on the planet and Bernie is simply too much of a gentleman to deal with her. She lied about everything and never stopped talking so Bernie couldn't get a word in edge wise....pathetic. I love this cartoon.
ReplyDeleteO/T http://www.politicalgarbagechute.com/the-person-whose-opinion-we-care-less-about-than-sarah-palins-an-open-letter-to-bristol-palin/
ReplyDeleteVOTE, People! GOP only wins by cheating, disenfranchising, and suppression. Get off your ass and throw them out of office.
ReplyDeleteThe crazy just keeps coming...
ReplyDeleteMarch 6-8 National Harbor, Maryland -- CPAC 2014
'ACU's Golden Anniversary: Getting It Right for 50 Years'
http://www.cpac.org/schedule-events
Breitbart exclusively reports that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has also been invited and is close to confirming her appearance.
NOTE: Sarah turns 50 this year too -- what a coincidence!!
April 25 Orange Beach, Alabama -- Baldwin County Republican Party
https://bcrp.webconnex.com/SarahPalin
April 25-27 Indianapolis, Indiana -- NRA 2014 Annual Meeting
Mrs. Palin is always invited to CPAC because they are the crazy wing of the GOP, however, she is consistently left out of RNC events, including the convention in Tampa in 2012. She's a fringe player living in a fringe world.
DeleteThis is hilarious! "On second thought who gives a f#ck what you do?"
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-january-27-2014/exclusive---don-t-leave--sean-hannity
yup, that was one for the record, insert Sarah PAlin/Alaska and it would word almost word for word, hahahahaha
DeleteThe frightening thing is the the GOP is still poised to take control of both houses in the midterm elections. Remember the GOP was declared "dead" in 2008 and then the Tea Party was born and they took control of the House. Even liberal pundits acknowledge that the GOP is in good shape to take control of Congress.
ReplyDeleteI simply do not understand how voters, who say they despise the GOP, could vote to give them more power. Gives head a shake.....
