Sandra Fluke considers running for Henry Waxman's seat in Congress. Right Wing heads to explode in 3..2..1

Courtesy of Time Swampland:

Hours after Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) announced on Thursday that he was retiring after four decades on the Hill, Sandra Fluke announced that she is “strongly considering” a run for his seat.

Fluke, 32, made headlines in 2012 when she was denied the opportunity to testify in Congress on Obamacare’s contraception requirements while she was a law student at Georgetown University. Her story gained instant fame when conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut” and a “prostitute.” Since then, she has become an advocate for women’s health issues and was invited to speak at the Democratic National Convention in 2012.

“I’m flattered that I’m being discussed as a potential candidate, especially for Rep. Waxman’s seat, considering his incredible legacy,” Fluke said in a statement emailed to TIME. ” A number of folks I respect very deeply have reached out today and encouraged me to run. I am strongly considering running. I’ll be making my decision soon.”

This is going to drive the Right Wing right over the edge is Fluke runs.

They already consider her a concubine of Satan, so if she gets elected they will surely see it as a sign of the Apocalypse.

You know right along with Obamacare, the legalization of gay marriage, and low ratings for Duck Dynasty.

    1. Rush has no room to criticize weed since he was taking enough Oxycontin to kill an elephant. When I heard how much and what strength of Oxycontin he was taking I was really surprised and didn't even know someone could take that much. I take it legally for pain and have been taking it for a long time, and I'm no where close to being able to take what he was taking. For him to take as much as he was he had to be taking it for a long time to build up that high of a tolerance. I also wouldn't doubt he is back taking it again, but this time he no doubt is being more careful on how and where he buys it so he doesn't get caught again. With the long range of his jet, he could buy it in just about any country and then hide it in his plane when he returns. With the size of his plane there would be plenty of places he could hide it from customs.

I don't understand why Ms Fluke did not bring legal action against Limbaugh for slander and defamation.
His filthy 9 hr rant , over 3 days, was jaw dropping.
Every sponsor should have fled the degenerate.
His sexual fantasy about Fluke as a 12 year old girl was extremely disturbing.
There are still morons on the net saying Fluke admitted she was a sex addict and
      promiscuous, etc.
They still believe and repeat the disgusting lies that Limbaugh made up
and the Tea Party lapped up.
On the topic of Limbaugh's drug abuse.
A friend of mine works in law enforcement and he said the amount Limbaugh was said to possess would be considered " weight " and at the level of a distributor .
Joe Citizen with that amount of illegal narcotics in his possession would have been charged with dealing.

Repubs will fight to the death to keep her out of Congress. They cannot win the contraception debate.

I think This would be wonderful. She certainly has proven her toughness with the rush episode. Sandra Fluke seems like a caring and intelligent woman and she definitely has my vote. She reminds me a lot of Wendy Davis and they are both scaring the shit out of the rethugs.

Good for her! They've dragged her name through the mud, so what has she got to lose. I truly wish her so much success if she does decide to run and if she does, I'll bet she will win!

I don't always agree with Bill, but he's stepping up in a big way for Dems, so I do give him credit for this:

Comedian Bill Maher pillories Republicans every week on his HBO show, but apparently that's not enough: Now he wants to take it to the next level and target a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for defeat.

As the New York Times reports, the host of "Real Time With Bill Maher" intends to reveal his plan on his show Friday night. First he'll seek input from viewers in selecting the worst House representative in the country. Once that person is chosen, he'll use his show to highlight bad things the lawmaker has done and occasionally visit his or her district to do stand-up comedy and sway voters ahead of the congressional elections in November.

"This year, we are going to be entering into the exciting world of outright meddling with the political process," Maher told the Times.

His show will call the project the "flip the district" campaign. The show's executive producer, Scott Carter, told the paper that "with our viewers voting, I imagine it is much more likely we will pick a Republican."

Yea! I watch Bill's show every Friday night and will send in the name of Mitch McConnell from Kentucky who is up for reelection and should be kicked out of office for the obstruction he promoted from day one against President Obama!

I want to see his Republican ass gone!

Good news. Wish her the best. I know she will have the backing of the Dem political machine - but this will get ugly. She needs lots of moral support.

I'm sure she'd bring some bring some fresh ideas to Congress following Mr. Waxman. His legislation placing a moratorium on subway tunneling/development in LA was a mis-step, and appearing on camera without knowing the legal drinking age make him look out of touch. Overall he did a respectable job, however.

  13. This is a pay back for Rush for making her a household word. He should be proud of himself for bringing her to our attention, and hopefully for allowing her to be our next Democrat Congresswoman. Thanks Rush for bringing her to our attention, you did a great service for the Democrat Party!!

O/T GOP House Candidate Calls Hillary Clinton the Anti-Christ and Passes out Bullets at Event

..." Zinke’s comments should give pause to the state of Montana as they contemplate who to elect to Congress in 2014. Zinke referred to Hillary Clinton as the anti-Christ and described her as the “real enemy”. The ex-Navy SEAL also engaged in some thinly veiled insurrectionist rhetoric by stating:....
....After completing his speech to about thirty GOP partisans, Zinke handed out 50-calibre bullets to each of the four men who sponsored the event...

While it would be easy to dismiss such far-fetched paranoia, Zinke’s successful fundraising suggests that his conspiratorial world view is shared by many Republican primary voters. The current Tea Party-flavored Congress is already populated with a number of right-wing extremists. Adding Ryan Zinke to Congress would only further drive a wedge between reasonable lawmakers and the extremists who seek to destabilize the country through violent rhetoric and malicious hyperbole."

@4:53 Bristol's DWTS Pregnancy farce was the SLUT vote. The Sign above the Palin's front door is 'SLUTS R US'. Sandra Fluke did not write a book about having sex in a tent. Sandra Fluke has no Bastard Babies, and a slew of Trial Daddies. Sandra Fluke's Dad is not a Pimp. Sandra Fluke's Mom does not dress like a Teen-aged Hooker. So if you want to see Sluts, take a look at the Palin women. They should be working for Pimp Daddy Todd, they are too Mentally Challenged to do anything of substance.

Good for her! She's smart, she handled herself with dignity during the right and Rush's onslaught of stupidity. She's got name recognition for all the right reasons. And she's not blogging about being a single mom, whining, and trying to get her face on reality television every chance she gets.
