It isn't just Christianity.

Hey, if you can't control your woman, you just invent a god that can.

This is off topic, but still related to religion:

Have you seen the news yet that Thomas Monson, the president of the Mormon church, has been issued a summons to appear in a UK court on fraud charges? Lots of news articles showing up about it. Here's the Google News link: https://news.google.com/news/story?pz=1&cf=all&ned=us&hl=en&q=LDS+church+leader+monson&ncl=dpOm7HEiBzdqaLM4aSenD85pAHkgM&cf=all&scoring=d

  2. Off topic: Morning Joe and Bill Kristol have been praising the Half Term Governor for the last 15 minutes and think she should run for POTUS in 2016.

Talk about desperation. Frankly I would love to watch the poor imbecile try to run for something besides Botox. She's such a disaster--but I love my country and think the GOP needs to get real. I guess Joe and Bill are warming up the clown car again because they see no other way out. They must be having bad thoughts about Christie.

Life just teems with quiet fun, and insanity.

With all due respect, 3:25, but what the HELL does that have to do with the religious downtrodding of women?

To grow a population under the control of religious masters, you have to have a steady supply of new believers. The least expensive new believer is a baby because they are locally available and the brainwash is relatively easy.

Producers of babies are therefore key to making your religion bigger, more powerful and richer. Hence subjugating people with a uterus is JOB ONE..

    Religion is just economics.

Limit women's access to power. Limit women's mobility. Limit women's education. Limit women's voice in the common discourse. Limit women's contributions to society, science, literature.

Religion, just doing what it's supposed to do.

Obama Makes Republican Heads Explode As He Shatters Their Lies At Prayer Breakfast

...Obama showed Republican hypocrites a thing or two about real faith. If they were capable of actual growth as human beings, they would listen closely and learn something from this president.

O/T but Bill O must really be smarting from the backlash of his pathetic interview with President Obama, he's carrying on about 'making journalistic history', defending himself to such a degree that it becomes patently clear that he is mortified at what a bad job he did and the opportunity that he blew. His bloviating and attacking for DAYS now, showcases his utter insecurity and thin skiin. He'll go down in history, all right, but NOT for that interview. More like for 'DO IT LIVE"!

    -----------

Four days later, Bill O'Reilly was still talking about his pre-Super Bowl interview with President Obama. And for good reason: the pundit is pretty sure that he made history.

“I’m going to predict that that interview that I did is going to go down in journalistic history as what should be done,” O'Reilly said Thursday on Geraldo Rivera's radio show, according to Politico. "It takes a certain skill to pose questions in a factual way and be persistent without being disrespectful."

O'Reilly has been making the media rounds in the days after the interview. During an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Tuesday, O'Reilly trashed Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank, who wrote a critical piece on the Super Bowl Sunday interview.

"He's a weasel, in my opinion. Beneath contempt," O'Reilly said of Milbank.

O'Reilly has also made a point to talk about the interview every day on his eponymous Fox News show this week. On Wednesday, he devoted the opening segment of the "O'Reilly Factor" to responding to Jon Stewart's mockery of the interview.

Yeah, makes you think. I carried my first full term and endured 17 hours of labor and delivered a stillborn baby. Taking photos and exploiting my child as a pro life internet meme was the furthest thing from my mind. We kept our grief private. . But I suppose people grieve differently. "Like us on Facebook" was a bit off putting.

ha, ha, ha. thought this story related to religious entities cunningly enslaving women and most of the responses had nothing to do with it. had to do with the sarah, and her stuff. even liberal men can't hear. so here's my take.
God is a man. we figured that out. why else would joyce meyers tell us with her trout mouth to be subservient to men. all god's are men, and never do you really hear the story of an all powerful deity. it always goes back to men. because men, in general are threatened by women. you think white men are threatened by obama? wait till a woman runs for president. whoooeee. that'll be fun. yes, we like the thought of hilary running but if and when she says she will, we shall see. this is a male dominated world, and even if they have to shove ancient doctrine down our throats and make us swallow they will.

"God is a man. we figured that out."

WHO figured that out? To a rather large number of us here at IM, that statement is a non-sequiter because we feel god(s) don't exist!
