Wendy Davis already reaping the benefits of her opponent's choice to bring Ted Nugent onto the campaign trail.

Courtesy of Politico:

Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott might be making waves with his Ted Nugent tour this week, but his opponent Wendy Davis is making money.

Specifically, her campaign is seeking to harness the controversial rocker’s presence on the trail to attract donors who disagree with his statements about women.

In an email with the subject line “outrageous,” Davis says Abbott had embraced “an admitted predator who takes advantage of young girls, and calls successful women vulgar and disgusting names.”

“Ted Nugent calls Greg Abbott his ‘blood brother.’ I call their alliance repulsive,” Davis says in the email. “I find Ted Nugent disgusting, and I find it disgusting that Greg Abbott is sharing a stage with him.

Like I said yesterday, Nugent represents the opportunity for a financial windfall.

Not for the politician ignorant enough to have him show up at his rally of course, but for the person running against him it is like Christmas all over again.

Ted Nugent is toxic. He just called the President a "subhuman mongrel" and when he was (rightly) called out by Wolf Blitzer for using racist, nazi terms, Nugent said Wolf Blitzer was a nazi. Nugent, true to form, ran away and hid behind his twitter account.

Ted Nugent basically insulted every single mixed race person, including Todd Palin and his biological kids.

Yet, there is Sarah Palin kissing Nugent's ass, calling him her best friend.

Just read that Teddy Boy is gonzo from the campaign after once again, defecating his pants.

Maybe she can get Abbott to explain why he is pallin' around with a known serial animal terrorist.

Nugent illegally killed a bear in Alaska because he was too chicken to go into the woods to finish off a bear he had wounded.

And he killed deer illegally in California too.

Nothing good comes from getting into bed with the tea party.
The Abbott campaign is about to learn that lesson.
Of all people to campaign with,
they had to chose Ted Nugent ?
If Abbott doesn't have the sense to stay away from a toxic loose cannon like Ted Nugent ,
how can he be trusted to run a state ?
It's not just the totality of Nugent's sleazy history , it's the potential of what he's going to say
and do in the upcoming months that should give the Abbott campaign heartburn.
The tea party types like Palin and Nugent are self absorbed narcissists who are incapable
of remaining silent for the greater good.
This awful blunder by Abbott has to be a boon for Wendy Davis.
Nugent is so unkempt looking , just like the Duck Dynasty crew and Palin .
It looks like the tea party also believes that soap and basic hygiene , like evolution and science ,
are some sort of evil left wing conspiracy to be rejected at all cost.
The tea party types are either disheveled like Palin and Nugent or deranged looking and acting like Cruz.
    Very strange people. Very strange.

The reactions to Nugent's inclusion in the Abbott campaign is so negative and broad; I feel hopeful for us all. The fact that both Nugent and Palin have put their curse on Abbott is just icing on the cake. Go Wendy Davis!

Candidates for TX Board of Education do not believe state should be involved in education

At least two of the Republican candidates running for the Texas State Board of Education indicated in a conservative voter’s guide that they don’t believe the Texas State Board of Education should have any authority over how children are educated.

Both Eric Mahroum (R) and Lady Theresa Thombs (R) “disagree” that it “is the government’s responsibility to be sure children are properly educated.” Incumbent Pat Hardy (R) joined the pair in “strongly agree[ing]” that “the more people [who] live by Judeo-Christian values, the less government is needed.”

The three “strongly agree[d] that “free market competition for education dollars” would be preferable to a “government monopoly” on education. TFN Insider noted that “‘free market competition’ is the core argument for private school vouchers, which take tax dollars from public schools to pay tuition for students admitted to private and religious schools.”

All three candidates also “strongly disagree” that “[e]fforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.” In addition to believing that “[e]fforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America” both exist and are a pressing concern of national interest, all but the relatively moderate Hardy “strongly agree” that “[r]eligious freedom is our most foundational freedom.” Hardy replied “neutral” to that question.

In January, Lady Theresa Thombs dismissed incumbent Republican Hardy as “a lifelong Democrat.” She said that her fellow Tea Party candidate Mahroum was “inexperienced,” as his only “real experience in management is Chuck E. Cheese.”

Thombs then declared that she wanted to make sure history lessons were written by “experts, not people from some socialist higher education.”

“We know we we didn’t come from monkeys,” she continued, a sentiment she echoed this morning on Twitter:

    Good for Wendy,
I think everyone is pretty much tired of the mentally ill (teabaggers) running for office. I am hoping 2014 will be the end of them and their leader, the sickest of them all Ms. Palin.

I love that Wendy is speaking out about Ted Nugent and reminding people that Abbott shared a stage with him welcomed his endorsement. He IS disgusting in both word and action. He should have been shamed and admonished by the GOP for calling the President a "subhuman mongrel" . They should be distancing themselves from this draft dodging shit bag. Instead they're courting his endorsement. Disgusting indeed.

  11. If there is a Heaven, Ann Richards and Molly Ivins are a-whoopin' and a-hollerin' and clinking glasses of the afterlife's finest sparklin' water, and a-sendin' powerful white rays of energy to their successor, Wendy Davis. They'd be so proud of her!

Wendy doesn't hold back. She nips these two buffoons in the bud and turns their idiocy to her advantage. Poor Nuge quit his appearance on CNN because Wolf Blitzer hurt his feelings. Guess it's back to breitbart and fox for Cat Litter Fever.
