Breitbart editor compares Stephen Colbert's conservative character to a white person donning blackface.

Courtesy of Salon:

As Thursday drew to a close, many could be forgiven for assuming that the right wing’s biggest freakouts over CBS’s hiring of Stephen Colbert had already occurred, and that essentially no one was going to be able to top Rush Limbaugh when it came to wild hyperbole on the matter. But then Breitbart editor Ben Shapiro posted a new article about Colbert at his media watchdog website Truth Revolt, and all that changed — forever.

Shapiro has long distinguished himself for writing unhinged, idiotic and hateful things. He tried to smear Chuck Hagel by saying the former senator had a relationship with a group called Friends of Hamas, for example. Such a group did not, does not and likely will not exist. He’s urged Israel to engage in ethnic cleansing. He’s argued that there’s no discrimination against LGBT people in America today. The list goes on.

Yes Colbert's dead on characterization of a dimwitted, and overly ideological conservative, who have wielded power and influence power in this country for centuries, is JUST like a white person smearing shoe polish on their face in order to mock or denigrate a consistently oppressed minority in this country.

Of course this should not be surprising to anybody who has been watching the news, as the Right Wing is downright apoplectic over learning that Colbert will replace Letterman as the late night host.

You would literally think that they had named Richard Dawkins as the new Pope for how over the top this reaction has been.

In my opinion this can only bode well for Colbert, as he has clearly angered the idiots, and that is always a good sign the more rational among us.

Speaking of morons, this Ben Shapiro guy is also a favorite of Sarah Palin.

I know, least surprising part of this post, right?

Gryphen, and I use the term loosely because I'm 75% certain that isnt even your real name, you libtards really chap my ass!

Every day you slam The Screechy Wretch(tm) for trying - and failing - to sound smart, because she isn't and yet, when Breitbart calls someone out for being vile - and Breitbart is surely an expert in vility, if indeed they are expert in nothing else - you completely dismiss their assessment!!! WTF, Dude!!

I would certainly trust Brietbart to identify vile behavior because they don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk. The are, indeed, very possibly the preeminent voice of vile in today's body politic. The problem comes, of course, in their finely honed inability to express anything in a truthful manner and in that respect, you may have a small pointy-headed librul argument to make.

But, please, in the future, at least have the slightest common decency and intellectual honesty to acknowledge to the tiny band of libtard deadenders - and squawky flock of deranged smh trolls - still visiting this defunct blog that, sure, Breitbart don't know much, but Breitbart knows vile.

And in conclusion, Colbert may very possibly be awesome on Late Night!

    1. Beldar, I don't say this lightly, but there is a tiny, almost infinitesimal, essentially microscopic, possibility you are right here.

I sincerely hope that bringing Colbert to late night TV will change it amongst all those participating! He is smart, funny, talented and needs to bring his 'character' to the show. I'd love it, love it, love it! Plus, it would blow his competition away!

    3. Sorry, 9:02, he says he won't be bringing the character to Late Night. On the bright side, who agrees with me that the ideal replacement for the Colbert Report would be the inimitable Beldar Colbert Conehead?

      I know Beldar Conehead.

Beldar Conehead is a friend of mine.

Beldar Conehead, Mr and/or Mrs. Pogo, is no Stephen Colbert.

(tho, I might add, in my humble opinion, I always thought of Beldar as a more anxious, less talented and not so good looking version of Dick Dietrick from Night Stand)

The joke is on all of the Republicans. They thought that the conservative character that Colbert played on TV was real, so they invited him to be the comedian at a White House Correspondents' dinner. Colbert made wonderful jokes about George W. Bush, who was sitting next to him. While Bush smiled, no one in the room laughed. The joke was on them.
And, they haven't gotten over being punked like that. It was their own stupidity that did them in. Somehow, everyone else knew that Colbert was making fun of Bill O'Reilly and every other blowhard on Fox and conservative talk radio.

Colbert mocked not only W but the media the govt. Everybody! It was a thing of Beauty to behold. For a long time during Colbert's speech that simleton W was smirking. Eventually (long after everybody else ) he caught on he was being ridiculed. The look on his face was priceless. That is how fucking stupid the GOP is . They thought Colbert was a rightwing conservative pundit . When I heard He was speaking I thought the GOP has No idea.Everyone should watch it on YouTube. It's wonderful. The next year, to be safe, they had Rich Little speak.HAHA

It reminds me of a time when I used to comment on a particularly hate filled conservative site. An idiot was praising Colbert to the skies, actually believing that his shtick was genuine and Colbert was a great conservative hero. How stupid can you get?

I've seen people do that too. Still, after all this time, they don't get that it is a character that he brilliantly portrays.People are too fucking stupid to live.

"It's nearly impossible to watch an episode of The Colbert Report without coming away with a viscerally negative response to conservatives."

Well, DUH! And THAT is what they're all afraid of. The truth.

I am waiting for Monday night. When the "hash tag activist" was screaming for his show to be cancelled, the following Monday he hit it head on. I gotta think that he will do the same with this. Every time someone has gone after him, like O'Reilly, he blows it back at them.

They are so transparent! Trying to bully Colbert so he will not hit out at conservatives.

Racist Who Terrorized Disabled Black Kids and Their Mother Forced to Wear ‘I’m a Bully’ Sign

...If this seems humiliating, but still not harsh enough for this horrible creep, not to worry. The sentence also includes 15 days in jail, seven months’ probation, 100 hours of community service, anger management classes and mental-health counseling. He will also be required to publish a letter of apology to Prugh in a local paper. Finally, just in case you will be in the Greater Cleveland area this Sunday and want to supply some “encouragement” to Mr. Aviv, he will be appearing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Trebisky Road and Monticello Boulevard in South Euclid, Ohio.
