Hannity guest host Eric Bolling took on Kirsten Powers and American Atheists’ Nick Fish over complaints that the coach of Clemson University is unconstitutionally promoting “Christian worship,” including the inclusion of a team chaplain. Bolling thought it was ridiculous, but Fish argued it’s wholly inappropriate for someone in a “taxpayer-funded position.”
Fish said Coach Dabo Swinney has basically told players, “I’m a Christian and if you don’t like that you can go somewhere else.” Bolling said he has every right to promote religion on his own time, and noted how plenty of sports teams have chaplains. Fish shot back that private sports teams can do what they want, but not public universities.
Powers admitted she’s “sympathetic to the view that it could make people who aren’t Christians uncomfortable,” wondering why, when people of Christian faith have opportunities in their private lives to promote faith, any official position is required to promote it.
They also clashed over whether it’s wrong to have crosses on municipal property. Fish and Powers didn’t like the idea of “endorsing a particular religion,” but Bolling thought it might carry some weight when the vast majority of the population are actually Christian themselves.
Bolling "You guys are not allowed to agree on that one."
Fox News, where you are only allowed to express the opinion that you were paid to come on and express.
I swear whenever I think that Sean Hannity is the biggest tool on Fox News, I see Eric Bolling and realize that there are really SO many contenders for that crown.

Creepy Old Dudes Make Up The Majority of Readers On Some Right Wing Websites
ReplyDeleteDaily Caller is “doing a great job of serving the creepy old dude demo.” In other words, everything you suspected about the “conservative” movement is true.
Quantcast can prove it too: CHART
They also have no kids, are white, and make a lot of money. It’s possible that they don’t have Quantcast’s code (like we don’t) running, but it’s also possible that someone has been waxing wishful in their self reporting when everyone is a rich, childless dude with spare time he likes to waste on the Daily Caller, and yet the majority of their commenters struggle with basic English grammar.
It seems all conservatives one encounters online are rich job creators who hate everyone else automatically, based on their inaccurate assumptions that liberals don’t work or pay taxes when in fact liberals are subsidizing most conservatives. The fact of the matter is that with only a small percentage of people qualifying as rich, most of these people are playing a game of Fox pretend, which might explain their inability to cope with reality and subsequent votes against themselves.
But old white dudes (of a certain temperament)? I will buy that, because it fits in with the demo voting Republican, watching Fox, and generally having the loudest, most difficult time adjusting to these here newfangled times during which there’s a half black man in the White House and women are running wild with birth control like it’s 1969.
What’s not to love at Daily Caller for old white dudes of a certain temperament? They have the angry rudes yelling at the President in the middle of his speech, t & a, and of course it wouldn’t be “conservative” without the misogyny and racism, all topped off with an unfiltered, irrational and very emotional, butt-hurt rage that permeates their all of their “news”.

These Graphs Show How the Extinction of Conservative Republicans is Imminent
DeleteLast week the Pew Research Center, a nonpartisan think-tank that studies social trends and attitudes across the country, released a sizable amount of data about where America is heading in the near future. A quick look over some of the charts and it seems pretty evident that, unless there are drastic changes, Conservative Republicans won’t be along for the ride.

Wasn't Bolling brought in to fill the vacuum of crazy after they fired Glenn Beck? If so, then he's doing a terrific job.
ReplyDeleteBolling, with his smarmy look and unbuttoned collar, gives me the heebie jeebies.
ReplyDeleteFox Guest Compares Atheist Activists to Westboro Baptist Church
ReplyDeleteThis year’s War on Easter coverage on Fox News came to a head this morning when Fox & Friends contributor Ainsley Earnhardt pitted an atheist and a Christian against each other for a heated debate over the Freedom From Religion Foundation’s right to post “anti-Easter” signs alongside the giant cross and resurrected Jesus monuments in Chicago’s Daley Plaza. “Has Easter evolved into an occasion to demean religious beliefs and Christianity?” Earnhardt asked at the top of the segment.
And what are those “anti-Easter” images? Quotes from America’s Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, reading “In reason, we trust” and “Keep state and religion separate,” respectively. Here’s what they look like in context:

Republican FINALLY Admits The GOP Is The Party Of No Ideas
ReplyDeleteRep. Dennis Ross (R-Doomed) is completely screwed. He did the unthinkable. The inconceivable. The forbidden. He told the truth when asked about his party’s assault on Obamacare:
“I think one of the most unfortunate things my party did the last three years was not offer an alternative to health care,” Ross responded. “I’ve always felt that way. I think it’s absurd when I tell people that this isn’t what you should do, but I don’t have an alternative for you.”“I wish we had an alternative. It would make — you know what’s unfortunate? for the next six months, we’re going to go into an election knowing that we’re not going to do anything to address health care. Because we’ve gone so far in the last three years saying no, that we don’t have an alternative to say yes to”
Holy crap! He’s really is completely screwed. Republicans scatter like roaches from truth. If he doesn’t get primaried for this, it’s only because there’s not enough time to put someone on the ballot that thinks Obamacare will force everyone to become a vegan.
The core problem for Republicans is that Obamacare fixes a great many problems with the old system. Problems that anyone familiar with them hated with the fire of a thousand burning stars. Pre-existing conditions, rescission, lifetime caps, etc. were destroying the lives of millions of Americans a year. The only way to stop that without instituting Single Payer (aka “Medicare for all”) was to force insurance companies to stop these practices. Sounds reasonable, right?
Not so fast.

The usual interview for fox, quickly butt in and not let the speaker finish when they disagree with you and start making too much sense.
ReplyDeletePowers and Fish are the only two making a cogent argument in that clip. In Bolling's hyper christapo reasoning, he leads into a story about Rev Al comparing POTUS to Jesus because despite everything thrown at him, he rose above..... And on the clip, at the very end, Rev Al clearly states "I'm not comparing President Obama to Jesus Christ,,,," Bolling's infantile need to be right trumps any kind of reason, which speaks volumes about what a true idiot he is. The perfect fill in for Hannity. Just move his part over and slap a clip on tie.
