Secretary of State Kerry in response to criticism directed toward the Obama Administration from Dick Cheney: “Any advice from him really has no meaning to me."

Courtesy of The Hill:

Secretary of State John Kerry late Thursday dismissed former Vice President Dick Cheney's comments knocking the Obama administration’s Afghanistan withdrawal plan.

“Any advice from him really has no meaning to me with respect to what we’re doing today,” Kerry said on PBS Newshour.

Kerry said he’s not surprised Cheney would say something “negative” and “wrong.” “Dick Cheney was completely wrong about Iraq, and we are still struggling with the aftermath of what Dick Cheney and his crew thought was the right policy: To go in and start a war of choice for the wrong reasons. And they turned topsy-turvy the entire region with respect to Sunni and Shia and the relationships there,” Kerry said.

The Bush administration, Kerry said, was “deeply, deeply wrong” in the policy it pursued.

This needs to be repeated by members of the administration, Democrats, and journalists, over and over again.

Just the fact that Dick Cheney is still out free, and allowed to criticize this administration's handling of the two wars that he helped start, is a slap in the face to every veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and to the families of the soldiers who died fighting for a lie.

P.S. You can watch the entire interview with Gwen Ifill here.

Oh that is a thing of beauty! Hope it goes viral. I think the righties would like to slam Kerry about it, but wonder if they'll even bring it up? Not a whole lot of publicly defending Cheney on the faux noise network, except for his darling daughter. Haven't heard much from her lately, either, have we?

  2. You know, I think Kerry would have been a very good President. He is a lot more moderate than I gave him credit for in 2004. Smart smart man.

I bet Cheney is STILL getting $$$ from Halliburton for their services in these wars. Dickless thinks he is regarded as an elder statesman, but he is wrong. He threw an old friend under the bus, trying to get his vicious daughter back on the government teat, it failed! BIG TIME!! He should go back to proofreading his wife's lesbian soft porn novelettes.

Gwen Ifill must have been apoplectic with John Kerry's remarks. She adored the Bush Administration. Good for our Secretary of State! He's a great man and a true war hero who was much maligned by the GOP when he ran for president in 2004.

Hell, I wonder if CHENEY will say anything.

If he does, I hope every middle of the road and left leaning news media slaps the sh*t out of him - ESPECIALLY Rachel!

Dickless 5 deferrment Cheney will probably be on the Sunday gop propoganda shows, shooting his snarling mouth off AGAIN. He should be off somewhere, in seclusion after getting HIS wars going, costing hundreds of thousands of lives, plus the USA;s treasure. Remember "They will greet us with flowers" also "The oil will pay for the wars" Well, the wars certainly paid off for this spineless bastard.

Kerry KNOWS sick Dick helped orchestrate 9/11 so that Haliburton or whatever insured sick Dick became a gazilllionaire. 9/11 Truth groups have confronted Kerry but he remains quiet on the anomalies of 9/11. What can he do? He likes his job. But hopefully he continues to shut sick Dick up.

Here is Kerry at a 9/11 truth meeting admitted that WTC was taken down in a controlled fashion
right..........it takes days if not weeks to rig a building for controlled demolition. We are to believe that on 9/11 in a few hours, a demolition team was able to 1) get onsite an 2) rig the building to come down in a safe fashion?
    Get the fuck outta here.
People : all the buildings were rigged months before - we know this. Well, only the americans who care to know this, know this.

Dubya's oldest brother, Marvin, was head of security for a short time before 9/11. Afterwards, he disappeared. Google Marvin Bush, the mostly unheard of brother.

Cheney wasn't just wrong. He was CRIMINALLY wrong. When is anyone in the administration Kerry works for going to do anything about it? I know, never. So Kerry's nanny-nanny-boo-boo is way, too little, way too late, and Cheney knows it.

Cheney wasn't wrong. Cheney KNEW the basis for going to war in Iraq was false. Cheney lied. He CRIMINALLY lied. It was treason.

Don't just thank Kerry here. Actually write him a thank you note. It doesn't have to be long, just a sentence or two.

    Secretary John Kerry
    U S Dept of State
    2201 C Street NW
    Washington, DC 20520

I belong to a group that meets weekly to work on a variety of issues. We are always writing thank you notes. And we all keep a stack of blank pre-stamped postcards on our desks so we can drop off a quick thank you note whenever we read or hear or see someone standing up for something we believe in. The notes are always much appreciated, probably because the hate mailers always seem to be out in force.

Seriously? It's a little late to thank any member of the Obama administration NOW -- after over six years of sitting on its collective hands instead of investigating/prosecuting these war criminals as soon as it had the opportunity -- for merely, and FINALLY, simply calling a deadly, evil, lying spade a plastic sand shovel, don't you think?

Kerry doesn't deserve thanks, he deserves condemnation for remaining silent so long.

Kerry only became part of the Obama administration 15 months ago, so no, I don't think he stayed silent too long.

And it never hurts to thank someone for actions you like as it encourages them to repeat those actions. Besides, I am thanking him for his speaking out just a few days ago. I'm grateful someone finally has the courage to do it.

Speaking of liars, cheaters and traitors like Cheney:

BODY-LANGUAGE EXPERT: I Would Not Trust Anything Snowden Said To NBC

Before Edward Snowden's interview with NBC's Brian Williams, body-language expert Dr. Nick Morgan considered Snowden a young guy who got a hold of a bunch of classified documents and was just telling his story about exposing intrusive American surveillance.

"I came away [from the NBC interview] with a very different impression," Morgan, a top U.S. communication theorist and best-selling author, told Business Insider. "As a body-language expert, I'd say this is a disingenuous performance, which surprised me."

Morgan said that although it's difficult to pick up physical cues from a stranger on TV, a few aspects of the "second conversation" between the former NSA systems administrator and Williams stood out.

"In a Democracy Now! exclusive, the nation’s former top counterterrorism official has said he believes President George W. Bush is guilty of war crimes for launching the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Richard Clarke served as national coordinator for security and counterterrorism during President Bush’s first year in office. He resigned in 2003 following the Iraq invasion and later made headlines by accusing Bush officials of ignoring pre-9/11 warnings about an imminent attack by al-Qaeda."

Dick Cheney has the most appropriate name because HE IS A DICK!

He should be ashamed of himself. Would love to see he and Bush put on trial, found guilty for starting that absurd war and executed!

They and Rumsfeld and C. Rice are responsible for ALL the deaths (not just Americans) that occurred. They also added to the veterans problems we are seeing today.

Americans fucked up horribly when putting those two in office. Evil, evil men!

Why did Clarke wait so long to make his opinions known? I wish he'd declared his thoughts and knowledge much, much sooner.

What is the solution at this point in time?

Good for John Kerry! Applaud him!

THE DICK is an ass and should be in jail or executed for starting the war (w/lies). Cannot stand looking at the man. He eludes evilness!

Kerry LIVED through war, Cheyney just loves war, carnage, collateral damage, oil and the need to rewrite history while putting down this administration. I've always respected John Kerry for his intelligence and steadiness in times of chaos. Cheyney can try all he wants to rewrite history all he wants, but what they did was unconscionable. He got away with murder and still doesn't have the brains to shut his piehole. And he aims like Sarah, just ask his lawyer!
