California pastor and parishioners forced 13 year old boy to dig his own grave in order to frighten him into behaving better.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A California pastor and two members of his congregation admitted in court that they physically abused a 13-year-old boy and made him dig his own grave.

According to affidavits published by The Los Angeles Times, 56-year-old Heart of Worship Community Church Pastor Lonny Lee Remmers, 24-year-old Nicholas James Craig and 30-year-old Darryll Duane Jeter Jr. said that they were following instructions to “scare” the victim. All three of the men had worked at a group home where the boy lived.

In March of 2012, the men reportedly took the victim to the desert where he was forced to dig a grave. After he got in the grave, the men threw dirt on him.

The men also rubbed salt into his wounds while he was showering, tied him to a chair with zip ties, and sprayed mace on his face until he bled.

At one point, the boy was made to sit in the middle of a Bible study group and pinch his own nipples with pliers, investigators said.

Well you know what it says in the Bible, spare the pliers spoil the child.

This kind of thing is fucking medieval torture, and using religion to excuse it is pathetic.

This is one of the problems with Christian run facilities which sometimes are excused from the kind of documentation and oversight that secular facilities are subjected to.

Though the idea that grown men would consider this kind of treatment reasonable without somebody having to tell them it's not is quite troubling to me.

No doubt the Supreme Court would find this behavior acceptable, after all any religious expression is protected.

All done to a 13 year old boy. This post makes me sick to my stomach. I hope those men spend the rest of their lives in prison ... but they won't. Poor little boy.

Been in many fundamentalist churches and never seen this before. I think this pastor is criminally-insane or a psychopath.

Interesting how many people can be manipulated by very charismatic controlling individuals. The cult mentality and brainwashing doesn't just happen in churches, it happens in right-wing radio and TV. It happens on Fox News.

Just read any right-wing site and see the cultists demonstrate their cultish behavior. They can't be reasoned with. They also have a huge persecution complex, can't discern what's good or evil anymore and are trigger-happy. That combination is dangerous and it's happening now with a segment of the population.

If this 'pastor' had had the right connections and determination, he could have been the next rising political star. Why am I think of McDaniel?

Digging his own grave to see the light beats Sarah Palin's baptism by waterboarding.

  6. Well, that's one way to win "converts". I hope that poor kid is somewhere safe with people who are loving him and treating him well. And as for those bastards who did it, may their years in prison give them time to be adequately paid back for this atrocity.

How many other children where abused by this man, this "church", before this one case came to light? Everyone who shared in this, who witnessed it and did not report the crime, every single church member should be charged.

John Boehner Coldly Shoots Down Sarah Palin’s Call For Obama To Be Impeached

...Boehner handled Sarah Palin’s desperate cries for attention perfectly. One of the main reasons why Sarah Palin hates President Obama so much is that he ignores her. Speaker Boehner also understands that one should never feed the Palin bridge troll by engaging with her.

Poll: Americans Want Sarah Palin to Shut Up the Most

A poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal, NBC News, and Annenberg finally gave a numerical answer to a question we at Mediaite often ask ourselves: Out of all political figures that should pipe down just a bit, which one should do it immediately?

Answer: Sarah Palin. Overwhelmingly Sarah Palin, says America.

52% of surveyed American adults want Sarah Palin to “be quiet,” according to the poll taken between June 30 and July 7 — immediately before she published a Breitbart column demanding Obama be impeached. Notably, four out of every ten Republicans surveyed said that Palin should quiet down.

These people are sick, sick, sick. It's abhorrent how they couch all their behavior in 'christianity'. Jesus would gag at the horrors that are perpetrated in his name.

This type of torture is not the sole provenance of religious based therapies. The so called "trouble-teen" boarding school and "tough love" industries also practice this type of Neanderthal "therapy" in the course of their behavior modification programs, most of which are largely based on Charles Dederich's Synanon and it's multitude of latter-day spin-off cults.. It's sick. It's abusive. The people who practice these exercises, especially on minor children, are criminals, whether they be based in the church or in the cult.

Belief in nonsense - such as: YOU are the one who KNOWS what God wants - opens the door to madness.

    Here is another shameful situation.

    http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/07/09/ky-boy-raped-by-pastor-church-had-hired-because-god-forgave-past-sex-crimes-police/

"New Gospel Outreach Church Interim Pastor Stephen Bratcher told WZTV that he was “shocked” to hear of the allegations, even though church leaders knew Yoakem was a registered sex offender when they hired him.

Bratcher asserted that the church had determined that the previous allegations of sexual assault were false.

“Kentucky State Police was contacted, Kentucky Attorney General’s Office was contacted,” Bratcher said. “You know, about the legality, and they — the troopers over at the Bolling Green post — said that they contacted the sex offenders branch, and they said there’s nothing illegal about it.”

He added that he was “not in a position to judge anyone.”

“We’re firm believers in the Bible so if God’s forgiven you, then we’re in no position to treat you otherwise,” Bratcher explained to WBKO last month."

Is there some sort of problem with the people running this church?

"46-year-old Roy Yoakem, pastor of New Gospel Outreach Church in Scottsville, Kentucky, has been arrested and charged with the rape and sodomy of a minor. Just three years ago, the previous pastor of New Gospel, Billy Owen Minix, was arrested and charged with embezzling over $300,000 from the church. New Gospel might want to do a better job at screening their pastoral candidates."

I hope they lock these sadists up and throw away the key. Better yet, put them in the general population in prison and see what happens to them.

They got a slap on the wrist. A year of house arrest and three years of "probation". Don't know what's worst, the bastdard pastdords who inflicted this horrendous torture on a thirteen year old, or the "judge" (I'm using the term very loosely) who sentenced them?
I suppose it all boils down to who can afford a better lawyer. A "chruch" that doesn't pay taxes and takes in money hand over fist, or a working class family.
