But check out what immediately shows up in the comments over at the Hollywood Reporter which have to be seen to be believed.
Of course there is no actual proof that these comments came from devotees of the Drudge Report, but it is dead certain they did not come from readers of any progressive blogs or news sites.
This is exactly the kind of racism that conservatives are always denying that they tolerate.
Yet when the internet offers them anonymity.......

ReplyDeleteI've seen threads from anti-Obama folks who advocate rural living (good) as an intelligent, self-reliant lifestyle versus city living (bad) full of crime and black people.
I think it's great if they all vacate civilization. Social isolation both attracts and creates dysfunctional people.
I take the Hollywood Reporter comments as supporting evidence for the finding that people of European descent have up to 4% of their DNA inherited from Neanderthals, unlike people whose ancestors came here more-or-less directly from Africa. (Just google: european descent neanderthal)

ReplyDeleteI am truly sad as to the state of affairs we find ourself in. I am losing friends who for years have not once opined a political statement at me or towards me. I am seeing crazy like I have never seen crazy before. When did this happen? When did our country become so divided? People who have been civil in the past are now screaming at each other on Face Book. Its like you are with us or you are against us. I have been putting off owning a weapon, but the world is so full of crazies who are armed for bear I just might need to rethink that. The government is doing nothing to put these people down and they are getting braver everyday. I have rifts in my own family that may never heal. I blame the likes of Sarah Palin for allowing these delusional fools to find a voice. I think we have reached the tipping point and the 2016 elections will be the final fuse.

ReplyDeleteJust because the Republicans in Congress vowed to obstruct everything he did and make him a one-term President, threatened to sue and/or impeach him, refused to squelch accusations that he was born in Kenya, started repeated investigations of 'scandals' that have been proven false again and again, voted 50 times to repeal his signature legislation, blamed him for economic meltdowns and failed disaster response that occurred before he took office, and shut down the government, doesn't mean they have anything against a blah President! And just because other GOP politicians encouraged the creation and distribution of disgusting, racist cartoons, jokes and pictures, doesn't mean that they're racist!

It's so refreshing to see them take one small step toward a post racial world. I'm sure most, if not all of them have "Homo" roots, but missed the boat on the "Sapiens" part. My sincerest wish is all their children fall in love, marry and have children with people of other races. The most beautiful flowers in nature are hybrids, but all flowers are beautiful, even the dandelions who replied and were pissed on by dogs.

Did they accomplish everything I wished for? No. But all things considered, they're by far head and shoulders above the previous administration.
