Happy household this weekend as we welcomed a new addition to our family! Our new four-legged love, Jill Hadassah, comes to us with great training under her collar by our friend in Iowa Becky Beach and her Puppy Jake Foundation, along with Canine Craze in Des Moines. The Puppy Jake charity trains dogs for adoption by our service men and women, including those recovering from PTSD, as well as families with special needs. Jill Hadassah has been trained to be Trig’s buddy, and we’re over the moon to finally have her home! Thrilled, too, because all the rescue dogs and cats our kids have adopted over the years will hopefully learn something from our first dog trained to do anything! She’s brilliant and beautiful, and we feel very blessed to have her.
Thank you so much, Becky and Puppy Jake Foundation, for working with this tail-wagging bundle of love. We’ll treasure her, as she joins the rest of the current furry members of our family: Lucy, Lola, and Wilson.
I am sure that there is some pro quid quo going on here between Palin and this puppy foundation as Palin does NOT give free advertising for nothing.
I have to admit that I worry about animals that are housed in the Palin compound. There was a little dog named Charlie that ran away in 2012, and a dog named AGIA that I don't think anybody ever even saw.
Of course considering that Sarah is now legendary for poor parenting it would not be at all surprising to learn that the animals are neglected as well.
Well if this dog does manage to stick around perhaps it can finally provide Trig with the care that he so desperately needs. Maybe help him to keep track of his glasses and hearing aids, teach him to chew hard foods, and maybe even help him with his potty training.
After all, somebody has to help the poor kid.
Poor dog hasn't got a chance in that household.

No service dog I've ever seen wears a regular collar..they wear a harness so they are more comfortable and in control. And how does one train a dog to be 'a buddy?' Seems to me that dogs do that naturally. IF this dog is trained to serve, it will be bored to death with the Palins. This is yet another lie. And how come they can't name their pets Spot, Fluffy and Blackie? Why do they have people names? I also doubt there are four other pets wandering around that house...we'd have seen them in ehr daily videos by now. Liar. Liar Liar.
ReplyDeleteJill may be a therapy dog, serving as a companion for Trig, rather than doing things like opening doors or warning him away from dangerous things. I don't think that Jill i s a real service dog. More of a buddy for Trig. I guess that's better than his being left along with the sitter to watch cartoons. No, the sitter could actually dial 911 if Trig started chocking on something or if he fell down and hurt himself. The dog will just bark in an empty house. The therapy dog is not a baby sitter.
DeleteTrig must have a full time caregiver, that is also neglecting all his vital needs, but will change dirty diapers. Someone that changes and feeds him when the others aren't posing with him. The person who gets him ready for the photo ops and things like that.

Jill makes Sarah look like she is dealing with her special needs Trig. Jill can also fetch for the caregiver. I have seen dogs, they were actually pets, but they are easy to train to go get things. Like a diaper or even a bottle. Jill can also be trained to get cans of beer when Todd is sleeping in his recliner. If she is useful and fun they may keep her as long as the caregiver takes care of the chores.

ReplyDeleteI would hate any mother who didn't feed her child or keep him clean. I would hate any mother that would deprive her child of hearing and seeing. I would hate any mother who did not give her child every opportunity to grow up and learn how to be a contributing person with a sense of self worth. It's hard work to be a parent, and Sarah neglected all of her children, judging from all of the trouble they have gotten into. However, they can read and talk and make their own choices now. Trig cannot do that.
I think that Trig did say something about what's going on in that wacko household. We heard him in the video where Piper took a bucket of water for her ice bucket challenge. Trig should have had therapy, all kinds of therapy, from the moment he was born. He needed exercise for his muscles to develop, and he needed more attention than most babies need because of his special needs. How sad that he cannot feed himself, or speak up for himself. We rarely see Trig wearing glasses. If he cannot see, he cannot process information. He is missing out on much of the world.
The saddest part of all is that Sarah has to provide an animal to provide Trig with some companionship, as if to say that there won't be anyone around to be the boy's companion. No, the only kid left at home is Piper and she is growing up. Sarah has never been much of a mother for her kids, and Todd left Trig sleeping in the truck. What would the dog do? Sleep with Trig? Open the truck door, nudge the boy awake and tug on his shirt, leading him into the house. Oh, I hope that the dog has keys for the front door. The dog is not a substitute for a caring and attentive adult.
Sarah is a millionaire many times over. She can afford a full time nanny. She can afford all kinds of therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, therapy as play, therapy as learning. She didn't provide any of this. In addition to a dog looking after Trig, there have to be people engaged with him, in order for him to develop and realize his full potential. Sarah has only discovered that Trig needs a therapy dog and speech therapy now that she has a speech coming up about raising a child with special needs. As people have pointed out, there is only one photo of Trig with the dog, and Trig is more involved with his special toy than the dog. The rest of the photos are all about Sarah and Jill Hadassah. It's always about Sarah. It's supposed to be about Trig.

His only words are "Go Daddy" and "No." We heard Trig speak on the video where Piper gets splashed with water. You tell me what he said. All that I saw was that he was upset that Piper was going to get wet. Track and Willow had to reassure him that it was just water. They had to say it very loudly and slowly. I guess his hearing could use some help, too.
What we write here does not hurt Trig. He cannot read. He cannot see without his glasses. He watches cartoons. The people who have hurt him are the ones who did not provide therapy for him when they can well afford the best therapists in Alaska (or Arizona). These are not lies. Sarah admits all of this in her videos. If you are such a fan, you really should pay her the $10. and watch her videos.
And it was Todd who left Trig in the truck sleeping. Good luck with that. When Trig wakes up, he is going to have to scream even louder than he screams in the Piper video in order to get someone to let him out of the truck. Maybe he was getting the treatment that Sarah always talks about, "Buck up or get back in the truck." I guess that poor Trig didn't buck up.

So far, she has had about a week to study for her speech. Sarah made a video last week where Trig finally saw a therapist. Sarah admitted that Trig needed a speech therapist so he could learn to feed himself. (Requirements to attend kindergarten, speaking and eating). It's hard to catch up on 6 years of neglect. The dog is not going to be a big enough distraction if there are people present who do have kids with special needs. They would have to drink Sarah's kool aide in order to believe her.

I've for years raised/done initial training of pups for assistance programs and I don't know of ANY legit program that would ever place in that household, period. Just watching one of the vids she's made around there would get a resounding NO to a request for a dog. No amount of pleading, threatening, or money would budge the placement folks. In fact, she'd run a serious risk of being reported for abuse/neglect herself, as would any other adult in the household. And that dog shows no signs of assistance training; the humans show no sign of having been trained (mandatory in all programs I know about), nor did squirrelly Sarah mention going for training. Maybe the poor dog came from a "rescue" outfit that says it trains assistance dogs but I'd lay hard cash that says the whole thing is a figment of Sarah's imagination. Nobody, but nobody, would place an assistance dog (and hopefully no other dog either) where there's no responsible adult in the household.

Any reputable agency would make house visits, and would insist on the whole family getting familiar with the 'service' animal before they would hand over one of their very precious animals. Those animals go through very lengthy and serious training, and they are not cheap - a family like the PayMes would have to pay, because they can afford to. Other families might be able to get a break on the price, but usually the animals do not come for free.

DeleteThe puppy looks just like that - a puppy, and NOT like a service dog. I do not believe that they actually place service dogs at such a young age like this one is. Also, service organizations would not place a service animal into any family w/o extensive family training. I have not heard/seen any reports of any of that Grifter family having been trained in handling the service animal.
@sewnup: The woman who owns and runs the dog training program is a major contributor of Sarah's. She posed for photos with the dog when Jill was a pup and the dog was supposed to show up in Wasilla in 2 months. So, it took a little more time.

What he needed was therapy at an early age, involved parents who would follow through on the therapy in a consistent way. There is nothing consistent about the Palins. I don't think that the dog can assist Trig with anything if his parents don't provide therapy for him. The dog can't provide therapy, only some friendship-- if Trig learns how to interact with the dog.

Look at the Puppy Jake Foundation web page. Nowhere do they say that they are training dogs for anyone but Military recipients, though there is a picture of a young boy walking with a service dog. This is in an article of how pups are fostered and receive their early training. I wonder how all of this plays into the Palin scenario which appears to be just another deception.
ReplyDeleteThe owner is one of Sarah's big donors. Last May, Sarah paid a visit there after giving some speech at a farm in the middle of nowhere. I read that they provide service dogs. Those are the dogs who help the disabled and the vets. Sarah's is a therapy dog, a buddy for Trig.
DeleteSince Trig doesn't speak, I'm guessing it will be a long tome before Jill learns to come to him (you know, the person she is supposed to be buddies with?) That group would have had Trig and the family for training, to see what Trig can do, and set up a response system that would work. The foundation that Sarah links to also provides service dogs to the disabled, including vets. Their training could involve opening a door or fetching something for their owner. Service dogs are admitted anywhere the owner is admitted, the same way that seeing eye dogs always accompany their blind owner.

They can help people with disabilities in providing unconditional friendship, and they are shown to have a calming influence for the disabled when they become too agitated.(The agitation comes from being frustrated at not being able to do something). Sometimes, getting a child to learn to do something is helped if the dog is involved, because the child would want to walk to the place where the dog is located.
As for Trig, Sarah admitted in her videos that Trig needed speech therapy. He has to strengthen his facial muscles in order to eat solid food, and to be able to form words. It doesn't seem that Trig has had any of that kind of therapy before. The dog won't help with speech therapy or feeding Trig. Those are problems that Sarah has to address with a professional therapist or therapists.
I wonder who decided that this little boy should have a dog? His development seems to be so limited that having a dog may be more stressful and he could hurt the dog ....
